Syrian Christian Refugees Turned Away in Favor of Muslims

The humanitarian crisis caused by the Syrian conflict has led to a flood of refugees fleeing the violence of ISIS, but very few of those who have been granted asylum are among the most persecuted group in the region: Christians.

Recently released US immigration numbers show that for the fiscal year 2016, a total of 10,801 refugees were accepted into the country but that only 56 are Christian. These fifty-six refugees represent only 0.52% of the total number of immigrants and a vanishingly small percentage of the total number of Christians who are in danger of outright genocide in the Syrian conflict.

The Syrian Christian population is roughly 10% and is comprised of Assyrians, Armenians, Arab Christians and Greek Christians in what has constitutionally been a religiously plural state with legally guaranteed protections for Christians.

These protections have, of course, broken down in the civil war and the Christian population has shown greater support to the central government because it is widely believed that a victory by the Sunni ISIS, or another Muslim faction, will result in genocide of Syrian Christians.

In fact, the systematic rape and killing of Christians and Yazidis already underway by ISIS has been declared a genocide and there are camps in Jordan ready to receive refugees of the conflict. So where are the Christians?

Thus far, those accepted as refugees by the United States identify as 29 Christian, 12 Catholic, 6 Orthodox, 4 Jehovah Witness, 4 Protestant and 1 Greek Orthodox. Though accounting is difficult in the chaos of civil war, experts estimate that since the start of the war in 2011, somewhere between 500,000 and 1 million Christians have fled Syria while many have been murdered in Syria by the Islamic State in a systematic campaign of religious genocide.

This declaration of genocide by the US State Department came only in March of 2016, five years after the mass killings began, but some now question the lukewarm response of the US to accepting Christian refugees.

It may seem strange that 98.2% of the refugees are Sunni Muslims, the very same sect as that the Islamic State claims to belong to, while they slaughter Shiite Muslims alongside Yazidis and Christians. The answer to this, many reports now indicate, lies in the refugee camps in Jordan and their bias towards Sunni Muslim refugees.

The United Nations maintains a refugee camp in Jordan where those fleeing persecution by the Islamic State are able to make asylum applications and eventually emigrate to the United States. It is within these camps however that Christians and other religious minorities report extreme persecution, including murder and even being subject to kidnapping and sold into slavery.

Nina Shea, the director of the Hudson Institute's Center for Religious Freedom has stated that "The Christians don't reside in those camps because it is too dangerous. They are preyed upon by other residents from the Sunni community and there is infiltration by ISIS and criminal gangs."

Even among Muslim numbers, only 20 Shiites have been admitted, a figure far lower than should be expected if there were a fair process of refugee processing. It is this number that betrays the reason why the great majority of refugees are not Christian because the entire staff of the United Nations High Commission on Refugees (UNHCR) office in Jordan is Sunni Muslim.

For those few brave enough to remain in the camps, their Christian names are recognized and immediately excluded from consideration, according to William Murray of the Religious Freedom Coalition, who has extensive experience operating in Iraq and Jordan.

Facing genocide or brutal slavery both within the camps and without from Islamic State fanatics and criminal gangs, Christians have little reason to put their hope in a refugee system that is set up to reject them outright simply because of their religion.

Christians need not apply, is the message from the Sunni Muslim staff in Jordan and the result is a vast and threatened population of Christians who have become urban refugees, hiding in basements and abandoned buildings as they fight to survive.

The crisis is not only about helping refugees, according to Shea, but ensuring the very existence of Christianity itself in a place where it has thrived as a community for 2,000 years.

She described the genocide of Syrian Christians in dire terms as she addressed the State Department in an official lawsuit, "The Christian community is dying. I fear that there will be no Christians left when the dust settles."

Report: Russia Says Abbas, Netanyahu Agree to Meet in Moscow

Moscow – Russia’s foreign ministry said on Thursday that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had agreed in principle to meet in Moscow, Interfax news agency reported. It would  be the first meeting between the Israeli and Palestinian leader since the two last met officially in 2010.

Abbas said on Tuesday that he had accepted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to meet Netanyahu in Moscow on Friday in Moscow, but later said the convening had been postponed on Netanyahu's request.

"President Putin has proposed a meeting on September  9 in Moscow. I agreed to this and I was to go to Moscow directly from here," Abbas told a joint news conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

"Unfortunately yesterday in Jerusalem president Putin's representative and prime minister Netanyahu's representative held a meeting and prime minister Netanyahu's representative proposed to postpone the meeting for later, so there will be no meeting (on September 9)," Abbas said.

On Monday, Netanyahu's office said he was considering the Russian offer, but that Israel would not accept any preconditions to such a meeting.

During a meeting in Jerusalem with Michael Bogdanov, Russia's special envoy to the Middle East, Netanyahu discussed Russian President Vladimir Putin's offer to host the Israeli and Palestinian leaders.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu underlined to Bogdanov that he has always maintained the position that he is prepared to meet directly with Abbas, without preconditions, and therefore he was considering the proposed meeting and the timing of such a convening.

The last Israeli-Palestinian peace talks collapsed in 2014.

Planet Closer to Catastrophic World War III Than At Any Time for Sixty Years, Experts Warn?

Planet closer to catastrophic World War III than at any time for SIXTY years, experts warn… and it doesn’t look good for Britain or America if it does kick off.

Several flashpoints could erupt into a global conflict involving the US, China and Russia, it is claimed.

Russia and China, both of which are pumping vast amounts of money into their militaries, could soon rival the US in terms of power and prestige.

All three nations want to remain a global superpower – if not the only one – and are preparing for war, it is claimed.

But they oppose each other on a swathe of issues across the globe, creating a delicate political balance that could collapse and engulf nuclear states and alliances such as NATO.

A range of experts have identified several flashpoints across the globe which are today the most likely triggers for such a war.

The proximity of NATO and Russian bombers flying over Syria, Vladimir Putin’s aggression in eastern Europe, and China’s movements in the South China Sea are among them.

Experts have also raised concerns about the instability of nuclear-power Pakistan as extremist factions and terrorist groups within the country grow in power.

Adding to this is these groups’ sworn opposition to neighbouring India – which holds its own much-coveted nuclear arsenal.

Britain’s Admiral Lord West told The Sun Online: “Basically none of us know what is going to happen but we are in a more dangerous, chaotic and unpredictable time than any other in my 50 years in the force.

“I believe that because of Brexit, I think Europe is very flaky, I think it is unfortunate that we didn’t stay in, because they actually need our military expertise.

“I can see bits of Europe breaking up and when Europe gets into a mess, twice in the past we’ve had to go in there and clear it up with immense loss of blood and lives.”

He warned that Britain was not sufficiently investing in its defence – and in particular, its Royal Navy.

The investment required to maintain its strength had not materialised in the years since the Falklands War, he said, leaving Britain in a precarious place.

RUSSIA AND THE BALTIC STATES

In July, a 25-page report by the US-based think tank Atlantic Council warned of Russia’s growing threat to NATO.

NATO has been Europe’s primary military alliance since WWII – all 28 member states have sworn to respond as a group if a single member is attacked.

The council’s report warned that Russia was an “existential threat to the Baltic states and Poland” and an annexation could be implemented “with great speed”.

It continued: “This might come at a time NATO and the EU are distracted by another crisis, or it might relate to some particular high profile event, the outcomes of which Moscow wants to shape.

“It might also result from a misperception of NATO’s activities and a miscalculation of the Alliance’s resolve.”

Admiral Lord West also said: “Russia under Putin is becoming quite aggressive, it’s spending a large amount of money on its military capabilities.

“Putin has said he believes in using tactical nuclear weapons if there is a war. That is highly dangerous.

“There’s little debate that he thinks of the Baltic states and possibly Poland as a Russian sphere of influence. They are NATO countries – I find that extremely dangerous.”

“I think people like Putin understand robust responses, they understand military power. I think he thinks he’ll pick (the Baltic states) off one-by-one.”

CLASHES OVER SYRIA

Another point of simmering tensions is Syria, where US and Russia are both carrying out airstrikes in support of opposing groups.

While they share a common foe in ISIS, the US has backed Kurdish and moderate Syrian rebel groups against President Bashar al-Assad.

Russia, on the other hand, is backing al-Assad against the rebels.

With both countries carrying out air raids across the relatively small area, the chances of accidental clashes and misperceptions is high.

Peter W. Singer, a leading expert on future war, wrote in The Daily Telegraph last year: “As in the past, it is perfectly possible that a third world war could start with a small event, or even by accident.

“One of the many Russian bomber planes now probing NATO’s borders could collide with an RAF Typhoon, prompting an aerial skirmish the likes of which the world has not seen for decades.

“Indeed, the skies over Syria are starting to get dangerously crowded, with Russian jets flying near US planes on bombing runs, and sparring with NATO air defences in neighbouring Turkey.”

Such an incident – albeit on a much smaller scale – was seen in November when Turkey downed a Russian jet it claimed it had encroached on its airspace during raids in Syria.

The incident led to a collapse in diplomatic relations between the two countries and sparked weeks of mudslinging between Ankara and Moscow.

With neither side prepared to lose face, their military posturing only came back from the brink after a Russian soldier was photographed travelling through the Bosphorus Strait brandishing a rocket launcher.

THE SOUTH CHINA SEA

In the past few years China has moved aggressively to dominate the South China Sea with the construction of artificial islands containing fighter jet bunkers.

The move has alarmed countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines who dispute its territorial claims in the region.

Futhermore, it has aggravated Japan and South Korea – two key members of a Pacific bloc the US has sworn to protect.

Peter W. Singer is also among those to suggest World War III could be triggered when “a Japanese or American ship scrapes paint with its Chinese Navy counterpart amid the reefs in the Pacific that are being militarized as part of Asia’s current arms race”.

Indeed, Chinese military commanders – who are pushing ahead with new submarine deployments into the US’s Pacific sphere – believe this to be a genuine and legitimate scenario.

After a close call last year, China’s naval commander Admiral Wu Shengli warned his US counterpart: “If the United States continues with these kinds of dangerous, provocative acts, there could well be a seriously pressing situation between frontline forces from both sides on the sea and in the air, or even a minor incident that sparks war.”

THE COLLAPSE OF NUCLEAR PAKISTAN

Experts have long feared the collapse of nuclear-armed Pakistan – a country rife with instability, terror groups and with a sworn hatred of neighbour India.

The concern is that its nuclear arsenal could fall into the hands of non-state groups ready to use it against the West, or other proxy groups.

Notably, Pakistan was the birthplace of the Taliban – a fundamentalist Islamic group that spread into Afghanistan and ran the country following its war with the Soviet Union.

A British Ministry of Defence report released in January earmarked the region as one that will continue to generate threats to the UK.

It also warned that “inter-state conflict and internal instability” were possible.

A March report by Harvard Kennedy School stated the “risk of nuclear theft in Pakistan appears to be high”.

The authors wrote: “The trend seems to be toward increasing risk, as Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal expands and shifts toward tactical nuclear weapons, while adversary capabilities remain extremely high.

“Over the longer term, the possibilities of state collapse or extremist takeover cannot be entirely ruled out.”

George Friendman, the founder of geopolitical forecaster STRATFOR, has warned: “Be ready for war.”
Mr Friedman has written extensively about emerging trends and international affairs.
He recently told Business Insider that interstate war – such as that seen during World War I and II, is a recurring characteristic of politics.
“There has never been a century that has not had a systemic war — a systemic war, meaning when the entire system convulses.
“Do you want to bet this will be the only century that doesn’t have one? I’ll take that bet.
“When you have the countries like Germany, China, and Russia decline, and be replaced by others, that’s when systemic wars start.
“That’s when it gets dangerous, because they haven’t yet reached a balance. So Germany united in 1871 and all hell broke loose.
“Japan rose in the early 20th century, and then you had chaos.
“So we’re looking at a systemic shift. Be ready for war.”

Why are so many men in their prime working years unemployed?  The Obama administration would have us believe that unemployment is low in this country, but that is not true at all.  In fact, one author quoted by NPR says that "it's kind of worse than it was in the depression in 1940.
Most Americans don't realize this, but more men from ages 25 to 54 are "inactive" right now than was the case during the last recession.  We have millions upon millions of strong young men just sitting around doing nothing.

They aren't employed and they aren't considered to be looking for employment either, and so they don't show up in the official unemployment numbers.  But they don't have jobs, and nothing the Obama administration does can eliminate that fact.

According to NPR, "nearly 100 percent of men between the ages of 25 and 54 worked" in the 1960s.

In those days, just about any dependable, hard working American man could get hired almost immediately.  The economy was growing and the demand for labor was seemingly insatiable.

But today, one out of every six men in their prime working years does not have a job...

In a recent report, President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers said 83 percent of men in the prime working ages of 25-54 who were not in the labor force had not worked in the previous year. So, essentially, 10 million men are missing from the workforce.

"One in six prime-age guys has no job; it's kind of worse than it was in the depression in 1940," says Nicholas Eberstadt, an economic and demographic researcher at American Enterprise Institute who wrote the book Men Without Work: America's Invisible Crisis. He says these men aren't even counted among the jobless, because they aren't seeking work.

So why is this happening?

If you look at the inactivity rate for men in the 25 to 54 age bracket, it was sitting at just 8.1 percent in January 2000.

In January 2008, right at the beginning of the last recession, it was sitting at 9.2 percent, and by the end of the recession it had risen to 10.3 percent.

Today, it is sitting at 11.5 percent.

Remember, these are men that don't even count toward the official unemployment rate.  They are not working, but they are not considered to be "looking for work" either.

So what are these men doing?

You may be tempted to think that many of them have decided to stay home and raise the kids as their wives go off to work.  But according to NPR, that is not what is happening...

What the missing men aren't doing in large numbers is staying home to take care of family. Forty percent of nonworking women are primary caregivers; that's true of only 5 percent of men out of the workforce.

We do have the largest prison population in the entire world by far, and without a doubt that does play a role in these numbers.  However, a far bigger factor is the millions of men that have become content being dependents of the federal government.

More than 100 million Americans receive money from the government each month, and a lot of people (both men and women) have found that it is just easier to sit back and collect government checks than it is to go out and try to work hard for a living

But of course the number one factor is the lack of jobs available.  I personally know people that have been looking for work in their fields for years and have not been able to get hired.  We have a major employment crisis in this nation, and it is only going to get worse in the years ahead as we continue to lose jobs to technology and millions more good jobs get shipped overseas.

And a lot of the "jobs" that have been created during the Obama administration have been very low quality jobs.  Since December 2014, we have gained about half a million jobs for waiters and bartenders, but meanwhile we have actually lost good paying manufacturing jobs.  If we continue down this road, the middle class will continue to shrink.

In addition to everything that I have just shared, here are some other facts that are pertinent to this discussion...

-Right at this moment, there are approximately 102 million working age Americans that do not have a job.

-Nearly one out of every five young adults are currently living with their parents.

-The Wall Street Journal recently declared that this is the weakest "economic recovery" since 1949.

-Barack Obama is on track to be the only president in U.S. history to never have a single year when the U.S. economy grew by at least 3 percent.

The economy is far weaker than you are being told, the employment crisis is far worse than you are being told, and as I mentioned yesterday, the stage is clearly set for a new financial crisis of epic proportions.

And if we are going to see markets crash, this time of the year is a good time for it.  In fact, CNBC says that history tells us that this is the "worst period of the year for stocks"...

The worst period of the year for stocks has just begun -- at least based on market history.

Over the entire 120-year history of the Dow Jones industrial average, Sept. 6 to Oct. 29 tends to be the worst period for the market. And more specifically, the last few weeks of September have been an especially bad time.

Someday when people look back at this time in history, they will not be surprised by how horrific the coming collapse will be.  The truth is that anyone with a lick of common sense can see that the greatest debt bubble in the history of the world is going to end badly.

No, what is going to amaze them is that the system was able to hold together as long as it did.  It truly is incredible that the debt-based, fiat currency Ponzi scheme that the central banks of the world have been desperately trying to prop up has been able to keep chugging along all the way to the middle of 2016.

How much longer can they keep the magic going

UNESCO Responds to Sanhedrin Demand for End to Muslim Occupation of Temple Mount
“According to God’s command, the people of Israel conquered the territory of Judah and the Temple Mount from the Canaanites under the leadership of Joshua the son of Nun and later by King David. These areas were sanctified for the people of Israel and for the construction of the Temple as a place of prayer every man.” Facing a strong international backlash against the resolution after the cancelled vote, Bokova backpedalled, saying in a July statement, “To deny or conceal any of the Jewish, Christian or Muslim traditions undermines the integrity of the site.”

Christian Conservatives Who Own Guns Have Different Attitudes than Those Who Do Not

Nationally, it is estimated that about one out of three US adults own a firearm. That means that Christian conservatives are nearly twice as likely to own a gun as are adults who are not Christian conservatives.

Image: Jerusalem Temple Floor Restored With Sacred Tiles

A Jerusalem temple floor of tile fragments from the Temple Mount – called “the most sacred site in Judaism” – has been restored for the first time by archaeologists.

The reassembled pieces of tiles were found at the site known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif, said the BBC News.

The tiles are said to be from the period of the Second Temple, during the time of King Herod, a “Roman king, who ruled the area in the first century BCE and expanded the site of the second Temple,” said SpreadIt. The temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD in the midst of a Jewish rebellion.

According to BBC, archaeologists have been examining debris from the temple floor since 2004 and they’ve now made headlines after finding one of the tile designs that once decorated the temple, tiles that were found on what’s considered “the most sacred site in Judaism.”

The Temple Mount Sifting Project was established by Israeli archaeologists in 2004 and has brought thousands of volunteers from across the world to search through “tons of antiquities-rich earth from the Temple Mount,” SpreadIt noted. The project has also led to finding “hundreds of ancient relics, including coins, animal bones and pieces of pottery,” BBC noted.

“Temple Mount is one of the most important religious sites in the world. It has been venerated as a holy site for thousands of years by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The present site is dominated by three monumental structures from the early Umayyad period: the al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock and the Dome of the Chain, as well as four minarets…,” said SpreadIt.

Frankie Snyder, a member of the project’s team, described the restored flooring as “opus sectile,” which is Latin for “cut work,” and “considered to be far more prestigious than mosaic tile floors.”

Human Microchip Implants Gaining Greater Acceptance

Once used for tracking pets and livestock, human microchip implants are now moving away from the fringe and becoming more mainstream.
There are now an estimated 10,000 people with RFID implants embedded in their bodies capable of sending out signals, but the rate of implantation has now begun to increase rapidly.

So why has a technology used to track and control animal populations now gained more widespread, and voluntary, adoption among young people around the world? The first answer is convenience. In the same way that we agree to unlimited monitoring of our private communications through social media and cellphone networks in exchange for the convenience, people are beginning to prefer the advantages of simply waving a hand near a sensor to open a door or turn on the lights.

The chips, which are usually implanted in the hand, are about the size of a grain of rice and can be used to replace identification cards as well as interact with sensors that allow an implanted person to activate home electronics.

One woman from Sidney, Shanti Korporaal, now has two implants under her skin that allow her to access her work office and car without the use of keys.

When interviewed, she stated that her goal is to abandon the use of wallets and cards completely in favor of the implanted chips. She said, "You could set up your life so you never have to worry about any password or PINs."

She went on to explain that "With Opal, you get a unique identification number that can be programmed into the chip. Any door with a swipe card... it could open your computer or access your photocopier." The chips can interact with some smart phones as well to transmit identification, contact or even medical data.

In fact, the 27-year-old Sydney woman was so impressed by what her chip could do that when she realized how popular they were becoming, she decided to create a distribution service in Australia with her husband, Skeeve Stevens, that they named Chip My Life.

The chips cost only $80 to $140, and vary by the type of device a person elects to implant.

The low cost allows for a very economical entry level and kits are available to perform the minor procedure to implant the chips at home, though Chip My Life works with doctors who generally charge $150 to insert the chips.

In describing the procedure, she says, "They do minor surgery, Botox and so on. They give you a local, an injection and a quick ultrasound to make sure it's in place."

The mark from the implant looks like little more than a freckle on their skin and the couple has both an RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip in one hand and a NFC (near-field communication) in the other.

Apart from simple convenience, the chips are being marketed as a way to identify lost children, track felons, keep tabs on dementia patients and verify identity in war zones.

The US Navy has shown some interest in the technology and some companies are already using implanted chips as a way both to monitor and identify their employees.

A Swedish company has recently found itself in the headlines for allowing employees to use implanted chips rather than work passes and 400 workers have already taken them up on their offer.

Astute observers will note of course the similarity to a certain passage from the Book of Revelation that in the New King James Version reads, "He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand, or on their foreheads."

In the next decade, as implanted chips become widespread and even normal, we will see the stage being set for this key prophecy to come to fruition.

In a cash-less world dependent on electronic funds, the verse that follows is all the more chilling in its absolute possibility now, "And that no one might buy or sell, except one who has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

Far removed from a simple tattoo possible a generation ago, this "mark of the beast" is designed to establish ID and conduct transactions as its primary feature.

The implants are not mandatory, so far, but then, neither are smart phones, credit cards or social media accounts, even though the great majority of people now have all of these conveniences.

In an increasingly digital world that sees privacy and freedom as quaint, outmoded concepts, there is little doubt that such implants will find ready acceptance.

Yet the potential for abuse with an invention originally intended for animal control is staggering. If this trend continues, the anti-Christ will have very little work to do when the time comes, because the herd will be ready, waiting and obediently chipped for his control.

Former communist states are planning to exploit the fallout of Brexit with a “counter-revolution” designed to block migrant deals and assert the power of national governments over Brussels.

Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, an influential diplomatic European Union bloc known as the Visegrad Group, will lobby together at a summit next week to ensure that national governments are put back in the EU’s driving seat.

The summit will gather all EU leaders, excluding Theresa May, in Slovakia’s capital to forge a new vision of Europe. It is expected to expose the rift between newer member states
