When Solomon died his son Rehoboam came to the throne, he treated the northern tribes with such disdain that they separated from the south and established a separate kingdom in the north. That division continues to this day, nearly 3,000 years later. Actually, from 587 BC until the present day Israel has not had a king and will not have a king until Christ comes to rule in Jerusalem.

When Christ returns to Israel He will heal that division. Ezekiel 37:22 makes that very clear. “And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.”

Israel will not be healed of this breach until Messiah comes and heals it Himself.

We read more of the unification of the tribes of Israel in Ezekiel 37:16-19, “Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.”

Today Israel is a divided nation. The government in Jerusalem has treated the northern area of Judea and Samaria with disdain. They do not call them Israeli’s, they call them settlers. They are often more generous to the Palestinians that to the Jews. Many times the Israeli army has descended upon a Jewish home in the middle of the night and forced them out of their homes and then proceeded to bulldoze their home to the ground.

Jews are not allowed to build on land whose ownership is in question but the Palestinians are not restrained in similar situations.

The truth is that the leaders in Jerusalem, including the present government, have been in the past and even at this moment, willing to give away Judea and Samaria if they can gain peace in the south.

The following “Israel Today” news item reveals the growing division between the north and the south of Israel.

 [The growing phenomenon of "Price Tag" acts of vandalism by some Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria angry over the ongoing threat to their homes by hostile Arab gangs and international diplomatic pressure, and the Israeli government's seeming apathy toward their plight.

Recently this situation got top Israeli officials talking about the possibility of civil war after a "price tag" attack was perpetrated against an Israeli army base. It also resurrected talk about splitting from Israel and establishing a separate State of Judea.

A source in Samaria tells “Israel Today” that the State of Judea is already a de facto reality.

There is already a Jewish uprising happening in Judea and Samaria that the media and government are doing their best to hide from the public, said the source.

"The idea of splitting from Israel is gaining, for the sake of Israel as well," our contact said.. "More and more [settlers] understand that they are here despite the Israeli establishment, and they see more and more differences between themselves and the Israelis.”

This is especially true of the younger generation of Jews in Judea and Samaria, who "do not see themselves as “Israeli” and would be ready to die for the land."

The idea of a State of Judea has been around since 1988, when settler rabbis proposed it in response to PLO leader Yasser Arafat’s Declaration of Independence. Prominent rabbis began revisiting the idea in the wake of the Gaza pullout in 2005, and stated that if a large-scale withdrawal were ever ordered for Judea and Samaria, they would put the State of Judea plan in motion.

With the ongoing demonization of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, both by the international community and by the left-wing institutions of their own nation, it would seem a forced uprooting is no longer required, and the splitting of Israel into two separate Jewish states is already underway.]

We can add to this scenario the fact that there is a growing feeling among Israeli’s that there will not be a Palestinian State. The prophetic scriptures indicate this to be the situation (Israel is pictured in the tribulation period as being in control of the land).

We believe that after the coming war of Psalm 83, the Peace Treaty of Daniel 9:27 will give Israel total control over the land and the Temple Mount. We believe that the Palestinians, according to Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 35-36, will be decimated and will no longer be a factor in Israel. After the war of Ezekiel 38-39, some months later, Islam will be all but a memory.

I suspect this growing rift in Israel to come to full fruition in the tribulation period preparing the way for Messiah to heal it once and for all.

Could it be that some of these Jewish zealots (in the so-called West Bank) will be numbered among the 144,000 witnesses, which will consist of 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes.

Israel is moving steadily down the pathway toward tribulation and chastening which will be followed by salvation and restoration at the return of their Messiah and King, Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 37:26-28 tells us of Israel’s final status. “Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.”           

The Coming Revived Roman Empire

The world has for some time now been watching the Euro currency as it stands on the edge collapse, such a collapse would bring chaos to Europe.

It has been suggested that when the Euro zone was created, those who brought it about knew that the system would not work. They knew that a common currency held by many independent countries could not survive as long each country managed its own economy. It has been further suggested that the intention, in the first place, was to bring monetary and economic chaos and collapse in order to ultimately create a union which would come under central control. Such a union would be a European Super State. This new state, though unknown to those men, would be the setting for the kingdom of Antichrist. The strategy is to tear down the old in order to bring in the new.

Carl Teichrib has stated, [“What we are witnessing is a tug-of-war between the last vestiges of nationalism and independence versus the next phase of continental unification; the European Super State. The road to stability in this context means more integration, more harmonization, and more centralization. It means fiscal standardization through technical management, and strengthening of the Euro-system along with a corresponding decline in national autonomy?”]

This is the coming European Super State, and it will set a course for the nations of the world to follow. The order is first a Super State in Europe and following that a World Government.

Our world has entered a new era, we are now seeing a flood of transformational changes that are gathering momentum and are now unstoppable. The ground work for this situation has been years in the making.

This situation in Europe is unfolding just as the prophet Daniel, and John in the book of Revelation, prophesied that it would.

Understanding of the time line involved is helpful in sorting out the scriptures relating to the tribulation period.

The seven years of the tribulation period will be divided into two, three and a half year periods. The first period will involve the Revived Roman Empire. “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast” (Revelation 17:12). From this verse we see several things.

First - This kingdom will involve ten European leaders and the Antichrist.

Second - This kingdom will last figuratively for “one hour”; other scriptures confirm this to be the first three and one half years of the tribulation.

Third - This is a shared kingdom, between the ten leaders and the Antichrist.

Fourth - This kingdom will not appear on the scene until the Antichrist appears and the tribulation period begins.

We rightly conclude that the church will first be raptured (see 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 – ‘keep in mind that the subject of this chapter is the tribulation period’) Therefore we who are the bride of Christ will not see the Revived Roman Empire come into being. We are now seeing the foreshadowing of this coming European Super State which indicates the nearness of the rapture.

In Revelation 17:13 we have the last three and a half years of the tribulation period (see Revelation 13:5) and the world wide kingdom of Antichrist (see Revelation 13:7). “These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.”From verse 5 we see that the ten leaders or kings give their power and authority over to the Antichrist.

In Revelation 13:15-16 we see the nature of that kingdom, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

The preparations now being made for world government will not come to fruition until three and one half years into the tribulation period which is the mid-tribulation point.

The Coming World Government

For many years now there has been a group of dedicated men who have worked tirelessly to lay the groundwork for a world government.

Winston Churchill  said in 1947, “The creation of an authoritative, all-powerful world order is the ultimate aim towards which we must strive. Unless some effective World Super-Government can be set up and brought quickly into action, the prospects for peace and human progress are dark and doubtful. But let there be no mistake upon the main issue. Without a United Europe there is no sure prospect of world government. It is the urgent and indispensable step toward the realisation of that ideal.”

Robert Mueller, long-time United Nations official, wrote the following in 1994, “I hope that more regional communities will be created, following the example of the European Union, so that the UN can be transformed soon into a true World Union.”

Jose Barroso,  President of the European Commission, was quoted in the September 14, 2011 in the online edition of the United Kingdom Express, “What we need now is a new, unifying impulse, a new federalist movement – let’s not be afraid to use the word… The right way to stop the negative cycle and strengthen the euro is to deepen integration, mainly in the euro area. This is the way to go… This is a fight for what Europe represents to the world. This is a fight for European integration itself.”

The ideals and efforts of these men and countless others like them are now coming to fruition and it seems the process that they initiated is now unstoppable.

This new world order will be established under the guise of a “World Wide Democracy.”

In the recent September session of the United Nations Human Rights Council one resolution stated, “Promotion of a Democratic and Equitable International Order, gave recognition to the United Nations as the chief organ for world management.”

In the preamble to this resolution, the Human Rights Council stressed that, “The responsibility for managing worldwide economic and social issues, as well as threats to international peace and security, must be shared among the nations of the world and should be exercised multilaterally, and that in this regard the central role must be played by the United Nations, as the most universal and representative organization in the world.”

Carl Teichrib states in his analysis, “To those ends, the UN Human Rights Council agreed to establish a three-year working group of international experts. Their job will be to identify “possible obstacles,” “best practices…[toward] a democratic and equitable international order at the local, national, regional and international levels,” to work with national governments in developing “concrete proposals enhancing sub regional, regional and international cooperation,” and raise awareness of the right to “a democratic and equitable international order.”

The process of establishing world government is now well under way and gaining momentum.

Others are working within the framework of the monetary and economic system. There seems to be a determined effort to bring the monetary and economic system crashing down. Again the method is to tear down the old to force the new world order on the ashes of the old. The intent is to bring the world to its knees and create a desperate situation. When people are hit in the pocket book, they will cry out for any form of government that promises relief.

John said in Revelation 6:1-2, “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” This presents a scenario in which a super leader comes onto the stage of a troubled world to rescue the world from impending disaster. The theme of tearing down the old order to make way for the new order fits these verses. The white horse speaks of peace; notice he has a bow but no arrows; this pictures him conquering through peace, not war. The stage is now being set for this coming event.

Again I remind you that world government does not come to fruition until the mid tribulation point. If we now see the preparations for world government we know that the trumpet is soon to sound.
