The Republicans Who Helped Obama Ruin the Country Support Donald Trump

Let us not be naive or willfully ignorant about what is happening. Donald Trump has a far longer history of affiliation with Democrats and Democrat causes than he does conservative, populist, or Republican causes. See him and hear him for yourself in his own words. Even in the first debate of Campaign 2016, Trump supported government run, Canadian style universal healthcare. There is no difference between his position on that and Bernie Sanders’ position.

Trump has long supported abortion rights. He has called for higher taxes and gun control. He has defended Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. Donald Trump funded the Democrats against the tea party in 2012 and the establishment Republicans against the conservatives in 2014.

Now in 2016, the Republican consultant class and RINOs in Washington are lining up behind Donald Trump.

They are doing so to stop the only guy who has put points on the board against them — Senator Ted Cruz. But it is not just Cruz. These Republican consultants and elected officials are lining up behind Trump over Senator Marco Rubio. In fact, the Republicans who most aggressively support expansive immigration and open borders are rallying to Trump, not Rubio.

Trump supporters are deluding themselves through blind rage and emotion. The guys in Washington know that Trump, who just last year supported universal healthcare and two years ago supported Mitch McConnell against conservatives, can be reasoned with in a way Cruz cannot.

This should be a damning indictment against Donald Trump in Campaign 2016. The very Republicans who have collaborated with Barack Obama to grow the national debt, keep immigration expansive, fund Planned Parenthood, and fund Obamacare are on Team Trump against Ted Cruz.

The Growing Tide of Returning Jews

2015 saw the highest number of Jews returning to Israel (making aliyah) in the past 12 years, with the numbers doubling since 2008.

The Bible predicts a great end time ingathering of the Jewish people from the four corners of the globe. This arguably started to take place at the beginning of the 19th Century as Jews began returning to Israel. This return was not just from Babylon as in the days of Ezra, but rather a return that would bring Jews from virtually every country on the globe. Now as we enter 2016, the ingathering of the Jewish people continues unabated and is gathering momentum as economic woes and rising terrorist threats dominate the headlines.

France, Ukraine and Russia are three countries leading the way in global aliyah and each of their Jewish communities have a story to tell of the increasing pressures they face in their host countries. Well look at each one in turn.

France Rising Anti-Semitism Driving Aliyah

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2014, a crowd of 17'000 people marched through the streets of Paris. The march specifically ridiculed the holocaust by singing the 'holocaust banana' song, and the marchers repeatedly chanted chilling slogans such as 'Jews, out of France', 'Jew, Jew, Jew, Jew' and 'Jews, France is not yours'

Watching video footage of the march, what struck me personally was the lack of any visible counter protest or any voices loudly condemning the protestor's actions. Where was the church in this hour of need for the Jewish people? Why was she not standing more strongly and visibly with the Jewish community?

The French Jewish community has also been the target of several terror attacks in recent years. In response, the French Government has taken the drastic measure of placing armed troops outside of Jewish community installations. However, a growing number of French Jews see the 'writing on the wall' and believe they have no future in France. In fact, a recent survey indicated that 43% of French Jews in other words 200'000 Jews are currently considering making aliyah.

No wonder that the phones are ringing hot at the Israeli call centre handling aliyah enquiries. In response to the demand, the number of French speakers at the call centre has had to be doubled.

The recent refugee influx into France may well add fuel to the fire in coming years as many migrants arrive with ingrained anti-Semitic attitudes from their Middle Eastern countries of origin. French Jews are also likely to face the continued rise of far right parties whom often harbour their own anti-Semitic tendencies.

The prophet Hosea spoke over 2500 years ago of a time when the Jews will return to Israel 'trembling from the west' (Hos. 11:10). As waves of terror and anti-Semitism continue to be a leading driver of aliyah from France, we seem to see the beginning of the fulfilment of Hoseas words.

Ukraine A Forgotten War

According to the UN, the war in Ukraine has led to the displacement of 1.4 million people and left over 9'000 dead. The conflict is continuing to this day with regular reports of lives lost in cross-fire and indiscriminate shelling. In addition, the economy has been hard hit by the fighting, leading to one of the worst recessions world-wide in 2015.

Anti-Semitic tendencies have been reported to be on both sides of the conflict. A top rebel leader on the pro-Russian side has blamed the Jews of Ukraine for masterminding the downfall of the previous pro-Russian government in Ukraine 4. Meanwhile, there are also concerns about neo-Nazi/fascist groups who have been taking part in the fighting on the Ukrainian side.

In the midst of the conflict zone in Ukraine one finds a Jewish community that has seen a large percentage of its members make aliyah over the past 20 years. Those who have remained have often been resistant to the idea of making aliyah, as Ukraine has been their home for generations.

The Scriptures foretell that God would first send for 'fishermen' and then for 'hunters' in the process of regathering the Jewish people (Jer. 16:16). Volunteers working among the Jews of Ukraine see the past 20 years as a time of the fishermen encouraging Jewish aliyah, and now believe that the time of the hunters may be coming upon those who still remain behind.

In the past year, Christian and Jewish volunteers have been stretched to their limit handling desperate aliyah enquiries and fielding calls for help in transporting remaining elderly or sick Jews out of the perilous war zones. The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has even taken the drastic step of arming its volunteers with small bribes used to curry favour at the checkpoints as they drive into rebel territory to help the remaining Jews.

Now at the beginning of 2016, the conflict in Ukraine remains unpredictable and the nations economy continues to be very fragile in the face of a faltering global economy. Let's remember the Ukrainian Jews in our prayers and also the volunteers who are assisting them often at great personal risk.

Russia: A Surprising Sudden Rise of Aliyah why?

In 2015, Russia experienced a sudden spike in aliyah with an increase of 40%. What is behind the sudden sharp rise?

A major driving factor would be the financial crisis of 2015 that has seen Russian wages drop by 8.5% and the value of the Russian Ruble halve compared to the US dollar.

Another motivating factor would be the continued strengthening of Russian nationalism and patriotism combined with the lack of any real democratic checks and balances to restrain the Russian leadership. Today Russia is home to half the worlds Neo-Nazis, and just as in times past, the Russian bear could easily turn on its Jewish population. A recent brazen assassination attempt on a key Jewish leader in Moscow has also sent shockwaves in the community.

Many Jews making aliyah are dependent on the assistance of Christian volunteers who offer practical assistance, financial aid and advice across the vast landmass of Russia. Most of these volunteers are backed by foreign funded Christian charities that have been operating for years in Russia.

However, a recent crackdown on foreign funded organisations has ended up labelling such NGOs and their workers as 'foreign agents' and their activities and finances have been subjected to a much higher level of scrutiny. A number of these charities are openly speculating that the time might come soon when they are forced to close their doors in Russia.

Without the assistance of these Christian volunteers, the Jews in far-flung communities will find themselves stranded. 2700 years ago, Isaiah the Prophet issued a prophetic command to the "land of the north" to 'give them up' (Is. 43:6), and today we continue to pray that all resistance to their safe return to Israel be removed.

Summary

In summary, 2015 has been a year of increasing aliyah in these troubling times for the Jewish community. While it is interesting from the perspective of Bible prophecy to witness increasing numbers of Jews returning home to their God-given land, let us also remember that many of them are fleeing great personal hardship.

Life in Israel is not exactly easy either, but the God of Israel has promised to protect His returning people. Jeremiah's comforting words foretell that "He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock." Jer. 31:10 NKJV

Shocking New Report: Over 40% of Europeans Hold Antisemitic Views
Jan 27th, 2016

More than 40% of European Union citizens hold antisemitic views and agree with the claim that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians and behaving like the Nazis, according to data presented during Sunday mornings weekly Israeli cabinet meeting, the Hebrew news site nrg reported.

Ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day this week, Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett, who also serves as minister of education, presented the countrys 2015 antisemitism report, pointing to the trends emerging in Europe as a result of the spread of radical Islam; the refugee and migrant crisis; the anti-Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions movement (BDS); and the rise of the extreme Right.

The "new antisemitism" explored in the report deals mainly with Jew-hatred among Muslims, rather than fringe parties in various European countries. The report states that "anti-Israel protests and accusations that Israel is a blood-thirsty, illegitimate country creates a slippery slope that eventually leads to the assault on Jews identified with Israel."

Another aspect of antisemitism raised in the report, according to nrg, is that it has led to Jewish "enclosure in guarded areas and to a record high in emigration from Western Europe."

The report discusses the rise in antisemitism following what it calls a "triple alliance against the Jews an increase in antisemitism on the part of Muslim immigrants; a rise in the extreme Right, accompanied by xenophobia and violence against minorities; and a rewriting of Holocaust history, mainly in Eastern Europe... and in Western Europe, dissemination of hate-filled propaganda by radical left-wing movements, which promote boycotts and the delegitimization of Israel and create a climate that encourages attacks on Jews for their identification with Israel."

The most blatant antisemitic violence committed in 2015, according to the report, was the HyperCacher attack in Paris, in which four Jews were killed, two days after the Charlie Hebdo massacre. The report also cites the growing trend of individual acts of antisemitism in France, and the accompanying rise in the desire of French Jews to leave the country and seek refuge elsewhere.

The report also examines the re-emergence of classical antisemitism: "In Russia and Ukraine, the Jews are portrayed in the media as a group whose loyalty to their country is dubious."

As for the United States, the report looks at the "new antisemitism" on campuses across America, with 75% of Jewish students saying that they have either experienced or witnessed antisemitism.

Netanyahu: Where's Europe When Iran, Isis, Hamas Call for Another Holocaust?

The Jewish people are no longer powerless, but the international community needs to stand up against calls from Iran, Islamic State and Hamas to destroy the Jews, “not for our sake, but for theirs,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday.

Netanyahu, in a taped message marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, said that anti-Semitism – “the oldest and most enduring hatred” – has not died.

“Unfortunately in Europe and elsewhere Jews are once again being target once again just for being Jews,” he said. “Around the world Jewish communities are increasingly living in fear as we see anti-Semitism directed against individual Jews, and we also see this hatred directed against the collective Jew, against the Jewish state,” he said.

Netanyahu said that today Israel is targeted with the same slurs and libels that “were leveled against the Jewish people since time immemorial.” Not only is “the most outrageous anti-Semitism” finding its way into the doctrines of the extremist Islamic movements, but “ even respected western opinion leaders become afflicted with hatred for the Jewish people, and the Jewish state.”

Netanyahu said that “the obsession with the Jews, the fixation on the Jewish state” defies any rational explanation. For instance, he said, while Islamic militants are brutalizing entire populations across the region, raping and enslaving women and murdering Christians and Gays, the UN Human Rights Council condemns Israel more than North Korea, Iran and Syria combined.

It is the Jews, however, who have changed, Netanyahu said, adding that Jews no longer need to beg for a safe haven or for protection.

“Today we are an independent and sovereign people in our own homeland,” he said. “ Today we can speak out against the voices of hared, and those seeking our destruction. Today we can protect ourselves and defend our homeland. We have changed. We stand up and speak out, we defend ourselves.”

But, he asked, “Where is Europe, where is the rest of civilization? A state like Iran, movements like Daesh and Hamas openly declare their goal of committing another Holocaust. We will not let it happen. But Europe and the rest of the world must stand up together with us, not for our sake, but for theirs.”

Blair: Time to Get Israel Recognized in the Region

The global community should commit to root out religious prejudice from education systems around the world, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Tuesday in an address to the European Jewish Congress.

“This is the business of all countries, and we are entitled to demand that countries that want to be our allies make sure that their young people are educated to a view of a world that is tolerant, and that allows people to reconcile across the boundaries of faith and culture,” he said.

Blair also said that he sees an opportunity, for the first time ever, “to form an alliance” with Arab states, and even between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

“You go to the capitals of the Middle East region, and you’ll find the same analysis of the threats and the same desire to overcome them,” he said, adding, “During this long process of transition in the Middle East, there is a genuine possibility of changing the way that people think.”

Reaching a situation where Israel is recognized in the region “is the biggest challenge of the first part of the 21st century,” said Blair, adding that the Jewish communities in Europe could assist in reaching such alliances because of their open minds and attitudes.

“It is that spirit, which in the end is the spirit of optimism and hope, that should guide us into the future,” he added.

Americans Really, Really Hate the Government

If there is one thing that Americans can agree on these days, it is the fact that most of us dont like the government.

CBS News has just released an article entitled "Americans hate the U.S. government more than ever", and an average of recent surveys calculated by Real Clear Politics found that 63 percent of all Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction and only 28 percent of all Americans believe that the country is heading in the right direction.
In just a few days the first real ballots of the 2016 election will be cast in Iowa, and up to this point the big story of this cycle has been the rise of "outsider" candidates that many of the pundits had assumed would never have a legitimate chance.  Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders have all been beneficiaries of the overwhelming disgust that the American people feel regarding what has been going on in Washington.

And it isn't just Barack Obama or members of Congress that Americans are disgusted with.  According to the CBS News article that I referenced above, our satisfaction with various federal agencies has fallen to an eight year low...

A handful of industries are those "love to hate" types of businesses, such as cable-television companies and Internet service providers.

The federal government has joined the ranks of the bottom-of-the-barrel industries, according to a new survey from the American Customer Satisfaction Index. Americans' satisfaction level in dealing with federal agencies - everything from Treasury to Homeland Security has fallen for a third consecutive year, reaching an eight-year low.

So if we are all so fed up with the way that things are running, it should be easy to fix right?

Unfortunately, things are not so simple.

In America today, we are more divided as a nation than ever.  If you ask 100 different people how we should fix this country, you are going to get 100 very different answers.  We no longer have a single shared set of values or principles that unites us, and therefore it is going to be nearly impossible for us to come together on specific solutions.

You would think that the principles enshrined in the U.S. Constitution should be able to unite us, but sadly those days are long gone.  In fact, the word "constitutionalist" has become almost synonymous with "terrorist" in our nation.  If you go around calling yourself a "constitutionalist" in America today, there is a good chance that you will be dismissed as a radical right-wing wacko that probably needs to be locked up.
The increasing division in our nation can be seen very clearly during this election season.  On the left, an admitted socialist is generating the most enthusiasm of any of the candidates.  Among many Democrats today, Hillary Clinton is simply "not liberal enough" and no longer represents their values.

On the other end of the spectrum, a lot of Republican voters are gravitating toward either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. Both of those candidates represent a complete break from how establishment Republicans have been doing things in recent years.

Now dont get me wrong I am certainly not suggesting that we need to meet in the middle.  My point is that there is absolutely no national consensus about what we should do.

On the far left, they want to take us into full-blown socialism. Those that support Donald Trump or Ted Cruz want to take us in a more conservative direction. But even among Republicans there are vast disagreements about how to fix this country.

Establishment Republicans greatly dislike both Trump and Cruz, and they are quite determined to do whatever it takes to keep either of them from getting the nomination.  The elite have grown very accustomed to anointing the nominee from each party every four years, and so the popularity of Trump and Cruz is making them quite uneasy this time around.  The following comes from the New York Times...

The members of the party establishment are growing impatient as they watch Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz dominate the field heading into the Iowa caucuses next Monday and the New Hampshire primary about a week later.

The party elders had hoped that one of their preferred candidates, such as Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, would be rising above the others by now and becoming a contender to rally around.

The global elite gathered in Davos, Switzerland are also greatly displeased with Trump.  Just check out some of the words that they are using to describe him "Unbelievable", "embarrassing" even "dangerous" are some of the words the financial elite gathered at the World Economic Forum conference in the Swiss resort of Davos have been using to describe U.S. Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.

Although some said they still expected his campaign to founder before his party picks its nominee for the November election many said it was no longer unthinkable that he could be the Republican candidate.

The truth is that the Republican Party represents somewhere less than half the population in the United States, and today it is at war with itself.  Supporters of Trump have a significantly different vision of the future than supporters of Cruz, and the establishment wing wants nothing to do with either candidate.

A lot of people seem to assume that since Trump is leading in the polls that he will almost certainly get the nomination.

A Defining Moment Approaches - the End of Antibiotics

Modern medicine as we all know it, is about to come to an end. There are some potential future scenarios that are just too dreadful to contemplate; things that have the potential to change the world for ever. Some nightmare scenarios have the ability to touch us all personally. There is one such event, guaranteed to occur in the coming years, which will affect each and every single person in the world directly.

The end of antibiotics; the point when the effectiveness of antibiotics to resistant bacteria comes to an end. Many medical experts even go so far as to say that this will be the end of modern medicine as we know it and it will become a reality in the next decade, at the very latest.

At some indefinable point in the next few years, the effectiveness of antibiotics to infection is going to end. The impact this will have upon humanity is indescribable. It will not happen all of a sudden, but will at first be incremental.

It is happening right now. It will catch most completely by surprise until one day we all wake-up and people we know are dying of conditions once thought trivial. This one event will rock the Western world as much as any major war could and will have longer lasting repercussions.

The end of antibiotics is a world defining event of unimaginable importance and will push elements of health care, especially infection control, back to pre-industrial levels of civilization. Aspects of modern medicine will travel back in time to the year 1700.

The World Health Organization has warned that "...many common infections will no longer have a cure and, once again, could kill unabated." The U.S. Centers of Disease Control has pointed to the emergence of "nightmare bacteria." The chief medical officer for England, Prof. Dame Sally Davies has evoked parallels with the "apocalypse."

That this will happen is a one hundred percent certainty. This will definitely happen, there is no equivocation any more.

Colistin, an antibiotic usually thought of as a "last resort" is now failing as bacteria become widely resistant to it. This resistance has been found in both humans and animals. This means that bacteria like MRSA and other superbugs are going to become more common and more difficult to treat in the near future.

Today most MRSA or superbugs are confined to hospitals, soon they will be found in the community. Many will die because of this and there will simply be no available medical recourse for dealing with the infections these bacteria cause.

A post-antibiotic world will almost certainly mean the end of all forms of cancer treatment. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy, two of the most common treatments for cancers, both cause huge damage to patients' immune systems, our bodys own defenses against infection.

Dr. Luke Moore, a cancer specialist at Imperial College, London, sums the issue up succinctly, "At the moment we can fight those infections with antibiotics, until the immune system is working again, but the cupboard is getting barer. Its harder to find drugs that will fight those inevitable infections."

With the effectiveness of antibiotics severely limited, almost nobody would survive. Cancer treatment, as we know it, would shortly come to an end.

Lifesaving transplant operations will come to an end in a post-antibiotic environment for the same reasons that cancer treatments will. It simply will not be possible to suppress an individuals immune system to the point necessary to make transplants a viable process. Patients will die in the process of enabling the host body to accept the transplanted organ.

Routine surgery will become too dangerous to carry out. Invasive surgery, where a doctor or health professional opens up the skin was once the most dangerous medical treatment available because of the infection that inevitably followed. Surgery used to be seen as a last resort. In a post-antibiotic world having any kind of invasive operation will once again became a highly dangerous game of risk.

Terrifyingly, the effective end of antibiotics will result in a massive surge in deaths during childbirth. Both of my own young children and my wife would be dead today if it were not for the lifesaving medicines and antibiotics given post birth. For the entirety of human history, being pregnant was the single most dangerous time in any womens life. Appallingly, this will become the norm again, in a post antibiotic world.

The implications will even impact upon dentistry. How can you have a troublesome and painful tooth pulled if there are then no antibiotics afterwards to ensure no post op infections?

The fast approaching end of antibiotics will ripe from the hands of doctors one of their most powerful tools. A simple cut on the end of your finger could result in the end of your life and luck will determine your survival much more than a physicians skill or experience.

There are clear Biblical implications for this approaching antibiotic apocalypse. In Matthew 24, Jesus gives his disciples a break down summary of events indicating the end of the age. A part of that summary includes details related to an increase in famines and "pestilences."

Pestilences, also described as plagues or epidemics, will increase significantly as the end of the age approaches. This is exactly what is going to happen as the effectiveness of antibiotics comes to an end.

"...And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places (Matthew 24:7).

Throughout the twentieth century humanity has managed to steadily bring pestilences under control. This is about to be reversed. This very real specter of widespread disease epidemics becoming a reality is yet another indicator of our close proximity to the Tribulation period.

I used to believe that the Biblical pestilences described as occurring during the Tribulation period would be the likes of Ebola, Smallpox or some other equally horrific virus. The reality is they may well simply be a variant of the common cold run rampant.

Once again, the shadow cast by the Tribulation period falls over our own collective horizons. Time is short.
