U.S. on Alert for Nuclear Blast Overhead

WASHINGTON – U.S. officials quietly are expressing concern that North Korea could use its “space launch vehicle” to explode a high-altitude nuclear device over the United States, creating an electromagnetic pulse that would destroy major portions of the U.S. electrical grid system as well as the nation’s critical infrastructures.

The concern is so great that U.S. officials who watch North Korea closely are continually monitoring the status of the North Korean “space launch vehicle,” whose status could suggest a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the United States.

They are aware of the three-stage missile North Korea launched last December that also orbited a “package,” which experts say could be a test to orbit a nuclear weapon that then would be deorbited on command anywhere over the U.S. and exploded at a high altitude, creating an EMP effect.

This concern is in addition to North Korea’s latest threat to strike targets in Hawaii and the continental U.S., as well as possible attacks against U.S. bases in South Korea and Japan.

The 28-year-old North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, has signed an order for North Korea’s strategic rocket forces to be on standby to fire at U.S. targets.

The signing was against a photo backdrop following an emergency meeting of his senior military leaders showing large maps that were labeled “U.S. mainland strike plan, specifically at Hawaii, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.”

The Seventh Commandment

“Thou shalt not commit adultery” (Exodus 20:14).

We can study this commandment like other ones by first identifying a fact of God’s nature that it involves and then go on to consider the significance to mankind. God is faithful and therefore requires it of the creatures He made in His image.

Faithfulness is a fundamental attribute of the God of the Bible. Satan first drove a wedge between mankind and the Creator when he slandered God’s faithfulness in the Garden of Eden. Ever since then sinfulness and hard suspicious thoughts toward God have been a package deal for members of the human race.

But still God has been faithful to us. His faithfulness has led Him to provide us a way of escape from sin and its curse, even at great personal cost to Himself. He has not abandoned man because of his rebellion. The Lord was faithful unto death. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of God’s love and His trustworthiness.

Distrust and disobedience by Adam in paradise was the way sin entered the world. The coming of God’s Son into the world to suffer and die for our sins was the ultimate act of good faith. Through this the resurrected Saviour is challenging sinful men to turn from sin and distrust and come back to God. He is calling on each individual to accept the Lord personally which means renouncing sin and repenting of distrust and accepting the gift of salvation provided through Jesus Christ. It is all-important to realize God’s faithfulness to us. The challenge is what will we do with it?

God has also ordained that faithfulness would lie at the base of human relationships. He is the Author of the home, and He has planned for procreation to take place in an environment of love and stability sustained by faithfulness. Society suffers greatly when God’s hedge of safety is broken down in the pursuit of pleasure without responsibility. Experiments in new morality have long reaching consequences often realized when the damage is too late to repair.

Every traditional marriage ceremony reminds us of the fact that God has planned life on earth to contain patterns of heavenly things for our blessing. The union of a man and a woman in marriage is a picture of the relationship God has with His people in a spiritual sense. When people become part of the spiritual bride of Christ by faith they enter into a relationship of love, eternal security, joy, and happiness. There are shadows of these things in earthly marriage as the couple enter into God’s patterns of marriage blessing.

When people depart from God in sin and take up with idols it is unfaithfulness to Him and brings ruin. When people are unfaithful in marriage a corresponding measure of sorrow and ruin comes to all involved. Like all the commandments, the scope is broad as a comparison of other scriptures makes clear. The sexual sin of adultery stands at the head of a number of deviations from the plan of God that are all violations of the seventh commandment.

Three facts of sexuality are clearly taught in the Bible that makes it clear that God intended it only for use within the marriage bonds.

Outpost Residents: are We the Enemy?

Residents of the outpost community of Esh Kodesh in the Binyamin region are reeling after an early morning raid by police, who arrested five of them.

"We wish to express our severe protest in the face of the despicable way the police treated the residents," an announcement by residents said.

"There is no logic that justifies arriving this way before dawn, in large forces, as if we are enemies, in order to mess up our homes in contradiction of the rules for conducting searches as written in the warrants, and scare our little children in their beds."

"The community of Esh Kodesh is a law-abiding one, which pays taxes and serves in the army and national service," the residents wrote. "The police know that if they had asked the residents who were arrested to show up for questioning, they would have done so. And yet, they decided, for political reasons, to raid the community in the middle of the night in a way that reminds us of our military service and the arrests of terrorists."

"We did not see you arresting the marauders who attacked our community, our groves and vineyards, even though the community filed complaints against attackers, photographs and video footage of whom are in our possession and were even published.

"We hope that the court understands the reality we are facing, and that it will release those of the community's men who were arrested, and deal severely with the Arab marauders attacking us."

The Judea and Samaria Police said Tuesday that "following the ongoing conflict between the villagers of Kusra and the residents of the Esh Kodesh outpost" and "mutual attacks," police launched an undercover investigation. This morning, the police added, five residents of the outpost in their 20s were arrested and several weapons were seized, including rifles and handguns.

No Hell Bell Comes Out in Support of Homosexuality

Rob Bell, author of the best-selling and controversial book Love Wins, which challenges the Christian teaching of Hell, came out in support of homosexual marriage on Sunday and called "narrow" Christians to repentance. During the question and answer period, Bell was asked about his beliefs regarding same-sex "marriage."

"I am for marriage. I am for fidelity. I am for love, whether it's a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man," he said. "I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs -- I think this is the world we are living in and we need to affirm people wherever they are."

Bell opined that many evangelicals can no longer be classified as conservatives because their beliefs have changed with the times.

"I think we are witnessing the death of a particular subculture that doesn't work," he asserted. "I think there is a very narrow, politically intertwined, culturally ghettoized, evangelical subculture that was told 'we're gonna change the thing' and they haven't. And they actually have turned away lots of people."

"And I think that when you're in a part of a subculture that is dying, you make a lot more noise because it's very painful. You sort of die or you adapt," Bell continued. "And if you adapt, it means you have to come face to face with some of the ways we've talked about God, which don't actually shape people into more loving, compassionate people. And we have supported policies and ways of viewing the world that are actually destructive. And we've done it in the name of God and we need to repent."

Leader Jane Shaw asked Bell during the discussion whether Christians can know truth for certain.

"I would say that the powerful, revolutionary thing about Jesus' message is that he says, 'What do you do with the people that aren't like you? What do you do with the other? What do you do with the person that's hardest to love?'" he replied. "That's the measure of a good religion, is you can love the people who are just like you; that's kind of easy. So what Jesus does is takes the question and talks about fruit. He's interested in what you actually produce. And that's a different discussion. How do we love the people in the world that are least like us?"

Editors Note....In this article we have a birdseye view of the apostsy that is moving into the Evangelical Church. Bell is way out in front of the main stream evangelicalism in his apostasy, but what has he left to forsake? Nothing! Bell is doing what always happens in a period of decline, someone leads the way.emboldening others to follow. Those who are on the slippery slope of departure will find it easier declare their apostasy.
