Why Parents Don't Trust the Educator - In-chief and His Comrades

They think we're crazy. "They" are the sneering defenders of Barack Obama who can't fathom the backlash against the president's nationwide speech to schoolchildren next Tuesday. "We" are parents with eyes wide open to the potential for politicized abuse in America's classrooms.

Ask moms and dads in Farmington, Utah, who discovered this week that their children sat through a Hollywood propaganda video promoting the cult of Obama. In the clip, a parade of entertainers vow to flush their toilets less, buy hybrid vehicles, end poverty and world hunger, and commit to "service" for "change." Actress Demi Moore leads the glitterati in a collective promise "to be a servant to our president." Musician Anthony Kiedis pledges "to be of service to Barack Obama."
 
The campaign commercial crescendos with the stars and starlets asking their audience: "What's your pledge?"
 
This same "Do Something" ethos infected the U.S. Department of Education teachers guides accompanying the announcement of Obama's speech -- until late Wednesday, that is, when the White House removed some of the activist language exhorting students to come up with ways to "help the president." Education Secretary Arne Duncan had disseminated the material directly to principals across the country -- circumventing elected school board members and superintendents now facing neighborhood revolts.
 
O's bureaucrats can whitewash offending language from the Sept. 8 speech-related documents, but they can't remove the taint of left-wing radicalism that informs Obama and his education mentors. A spokesman maintained that the speech is "about the value of education and the importance of staying in school as part of his effort to dramatically cut the dropout rate." But the historical subtext is far less innocent.
 
Obama served with Weather Underground terrorist and neighbor Bill Ayers on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge education initiative. Downplaying academic achievement in favor of left-wing radical activism in the public schools is rooted in Ayers' pedagogical philosophy. Obama served as the program's first chairman of the board, while Ayers steered its curricular policy. The two oversaw grants to welfare rights enterprise ACORN and to avowed communist Michael Klonsky -- a close pal of Ayers and member of the militant Students for a Democratic Society. SDS served as a precursor to the violent Weather Underground organization.
 
As investigative journalist Stanley Kurtz reported, Klonsky and Ayers teamed up on the so-called "small schools movement" to steer schoolchildren away from core academics to left-wing politicking on issues of "inequity, war and violence."
 
A cadre of like-minded educators and national service administrators across the country share the same core commitment to transforming themselves from imparters of knowledge to transformers of society. The "change" agenda trains students to think only about what they should do for Obama -- and rarely to contemplate how his powers and ambitions should be limited and restrained.
 
Ayers preached his education-as-"social justice" agenda to his "comrades" at the World Education Forum in Caracas, Venezuela, three years ago:
 
"This is my fourth visit to Venezuela, each time at the invitation of my comrade and friend Luis Bonilla, a brilliant educator and inspiring fighter for justice. Luis has taught me a great deal about the Bolivarian Revolution and about the profound educational reforms underway here in Venezuela under the leadership of President [Hugo] Chavez. We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution, and I've come to appreciate Luis as a major asset in both the Venezuelan and the international struggle -- I look forward to seeing how he and all of you continue to overcome the failings of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane."
 
Ayers continued:
 
"I walked out of jail and into my first teaching position -- and from that day until this I've thought of myself as a teacher, but I've also understood teaching as a project intimately connected with social justice. After all, the fundamental message of the teacher is this: You can change your life -- whoever you are, wherever you've been, whatever you've done, another world is possible. As students and teachers begin to see themselves as linked to one another, as tied to history and capable of collective action, the fundamental message of teaching shifts slightly, and becomes broader, more generous: We must change ourselves as we come together to change the world. Teaching invites transformations, it urges revolutions small and large. La educacion es revolucion!"
 
This is why informed parents do not trust the Educator-in-Chief and his "comrades." You can take Obama from the radicals in Chicago. But you can't take the Chicago radicalism out of Obama.

Who Do Jehovah's Witnesses Say Jesus Is?

"Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?"

This question, found in Matthew 16:13, was asked by Jesus to his disciples nearly 2000 years

ago.  Of course the answers were varied, people told the disciples Jesus was

John the Baptist or one of the prophets.  When Jesus asked the disciples who they thought he was,

Simon Peter answered correctly in verse 16 ,"Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

If we were to ask the same question today, we would get a variety of answers.

But I want to look at what one particular group would say and compare their answer to

our final authority, the Word of God. That group is The Watchtower Society. The

Watchtower Society is basically the teaching authority of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

What does the Watchtower Society teach about Jesus?  They say Jesus is the Archangel

Michael.  Is this Scriptural? No!  We can compare Watchtower teaching, as found in the New World

Translation (Bible used by Jehovah's Witnesses) and the King James Bible and prove that

Jesus is not the Archangel Michael?

FIRST - Hebrews 1:4-6 says, Jesus is so much better than the angels and the angels are to worship him.

KJV:  Hebrews 1:4-6  “Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent  name than they.  For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?  And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?  And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him”.

NWT:  Hebrews 1:4-6  “So he has become better than the angels, to the extent that he has inherited a name more excellent than theirs.  For example, to which one of the angels did he ever say: You are my son; I, today, I have become your father? And again: I myself shall become his father, and he himself will become my son?  But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him.

Notice in verse 6 of the KJV and  NWT, the word "worship" in KJV has been changed to"obeisance" in the NWT. Prior to 1961, the NWT had the word "worship" in verse 6 but  changed it to "obeisance" in later versions. The reason for the change was that  many Witnesses were getting caught up by this one word, it conveyed the idea that Jesus was God. Jehovah's Witnesses today will tell you any changes to their Bible is because of further enlightenment. Originally, Jehovah's Witnesses used the KJV for their Bible, but  much of the KJV contradicts  Watchtower teaching, so a version was produced to better  meet their belief system. Instead of changing their belief system to match scriptures, the Watchtower changed scripture to match their beliefs. Hence the NWT.

SECOND  - Hebrews 2:5  clearly states that God did not place the world in subjection to angels and verse 8 informs us the world is subject to His son:

KJV:  Hebrews 2:5, 8  “For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak”. Verse 8, “ Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing [that is] not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.”

NWT:  Hebrews 2:5,8  “For it is not to angels that he has subjected the inhabited earth to come, about which we are speaking.”  Verse 8, “All things you subjected under his feet. For in that he subjected all things to him [God] left nothing that is not subject to him. Now, though, we do not yet see all things in subjection to him;”

If Jesus is an angel, the world could not be subject to him, as stated in verse 5, yet verse 8 says the world is subject to him. If we go by Watchtower teachings that Jesus is an angel, Hebrews 2:5 and 8 would contradict each other, which is impossible. Scripture can not and does not contradict Scripture!

THIRD - The Watchtower says Jehovah created Michael, who became Jesus, and through Michael, Jehovah created all other things. This would mean Michael created Lucifer, who became Satan.Yet Michael was not able to reprimand his creation in Jude 1:9, but had to call upon The Lord. This would defy logic:

KJV:  Jude 1:9   “Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”

NWT:  Jude 1:9   “But when Michael the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: May Jehovah rebuke you.

To the contrary, Jesus had no trouble rebuking Satan in Matthew 4:10-11:

KJV:  Matthew 4:10-11  “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Verse 11 “Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. “

NWT:  Matthew 4:10-11 “Then Jesus said to him: Go away, Satan! For it is written, It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.Verse11 “Then the Devil left him, and, look! angels came and began to minister to him.”

Again we would have a contradiction in Scripture if we go by Watchtower teachings. Jesus controls all of creation as found in Mark 4:39, including Satan as noted in Matthew 4:10-11, yet Michael had to call on The Lord for help in dealing with Satan.

FOURTH  - We are only to worship God and nothing else, and that includes angels. In Revelation 19:10 John was instructed not to worship angels when he fell at the feet of an angel to worship him.

KJV:  Revelation 19:10 “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

NWT:  Revelation 19:10 “At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing to Jesus. Worship God; for the bearing witness to Jesus is what inspires prophesying.”

If Jesus were an angel, he would be guilty of sin, as he accepted worship by being called Lord and God by Thomas in John 20:28-29. Being Jewish, Jesus would know being called God would be an act of worship. If he were an angel, Jesus would have corrected Thomas on the spot, but he did not.

KJV:  John 20:28 -29  “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Verse 29, “ Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed”.

NWT:  John 20:28-29  “In answer Thomas said to him: My Lord and my God! Verse 29, “ Jesus said to him: Because you have seen me have you believed? Happy are those who do not see and yet believe.

FIFTH - The Watchtower also claims we are not to pray in Jesus name and they site The Lord's Prayer as their example, as this prayer ends simply in "amen." Jesus only gave us this prayer as an example of how we are to pray:

KJV:  Matthew 6:9(a)  “ After this manner therefore pray ye:...”

NWT:   Matthew 6:9(a)  “YOU must pray, then, this way:...”

Yet we are told throughout the New Testament to pray in Jesus name:

KJV:  John 14:13-14  “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”  Verse 14 “ If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].”

John 15:16   “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

John 16:23  “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you”

Ephesians 5:20  “ Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

NWT:  John 14:13-14  “Also, whatever it is that YOU ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father maybe glorified in connection with the Son.”  Verse 14 “If YOU ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

John 15:16 “YOU did not choose me, but I chose YOU, and I appointed YOU to go on and keep bearing fruit and that YOUR fruit should remain; in order that no matter what YOU ask the Father in my name he might give it to YOU.”

John 16:23  “And in that day YOU will ask me no question at all. Most truly I say to YOU, If YOU ask the Father for anything he will give it to YOU in my name. “

Ephesians 5:20  “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ giving thanks always for all things to our God and Father.”

I  have used both the KJV and NWT versions of the Bible to show that even in the translation used by Jehovah's Witnesses, there is serious flaws in the teachings of the Watchtower. Their own Bible version contradicts their own teachings. I pray that this small study will not only strengthen believers in Christ Jesus, but help those searching for the truth in God's word.

KJV:  John 14:6  “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

NWT:  John 14:6  “Jesus said to him: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Ultra-orthodox Jews are expanding the population of the West Bank by large numbers

The Jewish settler population in Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, is growing twice as fast as the rest of the population in other areas in Israel and the Ultra-Orthodox community is responsible for the major portion of the annual growth in these disputed territories.

In the areas where the Ultra-Orthodox move in to establish their young families, the annual growth rate is five to six times more than Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv's growth respectively and twice as much as the growth of many other Jewish settlements.

The Ultra-Orthodox rabbis sanctioned living in these settlements assuming that these territories would be annexed to Israel sometime in the near future.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The expanding population of Ultra-Orthodox Jews in Judea and Samaria is in essence a page out of Bible prophecy for these religious Jews and the land of their forefathers.

Since the end of the Six Day War in June of 1967, Jews both religious and secular have been moving into the area of Judea and Samaria, the West Bank, building their homes and raising their families. These disputed territories have increased in population over the years to nearly 500,000 people in two hundred Jewish settlements.

Now, the Israeli government is reporting that the fastest growth of population in any area of Israel is this area referred to as the West Bank, but known Biblically as Judea and Samaria.

As I mentioned, this report is a page out of the prophetic passages in God's Word. The Ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel wrote 2,500 years ago that in the Last Days God would give the land of the forefathers of the Jewish people to the Jews of today, Ezekiel 36.

Ezekiel the prophet was actually told to preach to the land that would bring forth man and animal and multiply them on the land, Ezekiel 36:11. Ezekiel 36:6-22 reveals what God would do with the land for the Jews and in verse 22 tells us that would be done for His holy namesake.

This Month May Determine If Israel will Act Alone

Unless Tehran responds by late September to international proposals on its nuclear program, history strongly suggests the Israelis will act alone.

Iran has until late September to respond to the latest international proposal aimed at stopping the Islamic Republic from developing a nuclear weapon. Under the proposal, Iran would suspend its uranium enrichment program in exchange for a U.N. Security Council commitment to forgo a fourth round of economic and diplomatic sanctions.

But if diplomacy fails, the world should be prepared for an Israeli attack on Iran's suspected nuclear weapons facilities. As Adm. Michael Mullen, the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, recently acknowledged: "The window between a strike on Iran and their getting nuclear weapons is a pretty narrow window."

If Israel attempts such a high-risk and destabilizing strike against Iran, President Obama will probably learn of the operation from CNN rather than the CIA. History shows that although Washington seeks influence over Israel's military operations, Israel would rather explain later than ask for approval in advance of launching preventive or preemptive attacks. Those hoping that the Obama administration will be able to pressure Israel to stand down from attacking Iran as diplomatic efforts drag on are mistaken.

The current infighting among Iran's leaders also has led some to incorrectly believe that Tehran's nuclear efforts will stall. As Friday's International Atomic Energy Agency report on Iran's nuclear programs revealed, throughout the political crises of the last three months, Iran's production rate for centrifuges has remained steady, as has its ability to produce uranium hexafluoride to feed into the centrifuges.

So let's consider four past Israeli military operations relevant to a possible strike against Iran.

In October 1956, Israel, Britain and France launched an ill-fated assault against Egypt to seize control of the Suez Canal. The day before, Secretary of State John Foster Dulles grilled Abba Eban, Israel's ambassador to the U.S., about Israel's military buildup on the border with Egypt, but Eban kept quiet about his country's plans.

In June 1967, Israel initiated the Six-Day War without notice to Washington, despite President Johnson's insistence that Israel maintain the status quo and consult with the U.S. before taking action. Only days before the war began, Johnson notified Prime Minister Levi Eshkol in a personal message: "Israel just must not take preemptive military action and thereby makes itself responsible for the initiation of hostilities."

On June 7, 1981, Israeli fighter-bombers destroyed the Iraqi nuclear reactor at Osirak shortly before it was to be fueled to develop the capacity to make nuclear weapons-grade plutonium. Again, Washington was not informed in advance. President Reagan "condemned" the attack and "thought that there were other options that might have been considered."

A few days later, Prime Minister Menachem Begin told CBS News: "This attack will be a precedent for every future government in Israel. ... Every future Israeli prime minister will act, in similar circumstances, in the same way."

Begin's prediction proved true on Sept. 6, 2007, when Israeli aircraft destroyed what was believed to be a North Korean-supplied plutonium reactor in Al Kibar, Syria. Four months earlier, Israeli intelligence officials had provided damning evidence to the Bush administration about the reactor, and the Pentagon drew up plans to attack it. Ironically, according to New York Times reporter David Sanger, President Bush ultimately decided the U.S. could not bomb another country for allegedly possessing weapons of mass destruction. An administration official noted that Israel's attack went forward "without a green light from us. None was asked for, none was given."

These episodes demonstrate that if Israel decides that Iranian nuclear weapons are an existential threat, it will be deaf to entreaties from U.S. officials to refrain from using military force. Soon after the operation, Washington will express concern to Tel Aviv publicly and privately. The long-standing U.S.-Israeli relationship will remain as strong as ever with continued close diplomatic, economic, intelligence and military cooperation.

Should Tehran prove unwilling to meet the September deadline and bargain away its growing and latent nuclear weapon capability, we can expect an Israeli attack that does not require U.S. permission, or even a warning.

Report: Bibi Plans Judea Building, Then Freeze

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu plans to approve the construction of hundreds of housing units in Judea and Samaria, a source in the Prime Minister's Office said Friday. Following the approval of the new projects, Netanyahu will consider a complete building freeze on Jewish communities in the area.

Israel has already informed the United States of the intention to allow a final round of building before the freeze, the source reported.

The report follows rumors that Israel and the U.S. are close to reaching an agreement regarding an array of steps to be taken vis-a-vis the Palestinian Authority. The goal is to allow for Israel-PA negotiations to resume – something that PA leaders say will only happen if Jews are not allowed to build anywhere east of the 1949 armistice line.

In addition to allowing for hundreds of new apartments, Netanyahu's government will continue to allow the construction of roughly 2,500 housing units in Judea and Samaria's Jewish cities. Construction of the units was approved before the current government took office.

If Netanyahu agrees in the end to a complete building freeze in Israeli-controlled regions of Judea and Samaria, he will be the first prime minister in Israel's history to do so. The PA, backed by the U.S. and the European Union, has demanded that a building freeze include cities such as Maaleh Adumim, Ariel, and Beitar Illit, which most Israelis believe should remain Israeli even if a PA state is created in most of Judea and Samaria.

Under the proposed construction freeze plan, Israel would forbid Jews to build in Judea and Samaria in exchange for gestures from hostile Arab countries. If Arab countries begin normalizing their ties with Israel following a building freeze, the freeze would continue indefinitely.

If the countries refuse to normalize ties even with a building freeze, Israel would allow construction in those areas to resume after several months.

The proposal faces strong opposition from within Netanyahu's Likud party. “Likud MKs are not a rubber stamp for the prime minister,” MK Danny Danon told Kol Yisrael government radio on Friday. “We will back the prime minister only so long as he remains true to the Likud's principles.”

Netanyahu has not yet made a public announcement regarding the possibility of a building freeze. He continues to meet frequently with U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell to discuss the issue.

Palestinians Storm Jewish Outpost

Hundreds of Palestinians armed with axes and hoes stormed a small Jewish outpost near the settlement of Shiloh on Friday morning, according to eyewitnesses cited by Ha'aretz.

The infiltrators came from a nearby Palestinian Arab village. After entering the Jewish area, they set fire to several structures before security forces arrived.

The Palestinians briefly clashed with the Israeli forces before being ejected from the area. There were no reports of injuries.

Obama Plan: Temple Mount Under Arab - Muslim Sovereignty?

The Middle East peace plan that United States President Barack Obama will unveil soon involves the creation of a Palestinian Authority state by 2011 and the transfer of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem [presumably including the Temple Mount] to Arab-Muslim sovereignty, Saudi newspaper Al-Ukaz has learned.

According to the report published Sunday in Al-Ukaz, the Obama plan also includes the following elements:

•Some parts of eastern Jerusalem [presumably Neveh Yaakov, Pisgat Ze'ev and the like - ed.] would be transferred to Israeli control. 
•There would be an international presence in the Jordan Valley and other parts of Judea and Samaria. 
•The Palestinian Authority terror organizations would be disbanded and turn into political parties. 
•The large settlement blocs in Judea and Samaria would not be dismantled. 
•The fate of smaller Jewish settlement areas would be decided in a three-month-long negotiation period. 
A reporter for the Saudi newspaper received the information from Hassan Harisha, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Authority Parliament. Harisha told him that the U.S. has handed over a draft of the peace proposal to the PA and other Arabs for their perusal.

The plan also calls for Judea and Samaria to be demilitarized and for its airspace to remain under Israel control. Israeli-Palestinian Authority security coordination would be strengthened, and the Palestinian Authority state would not be allowed to strike military treaties with other countries in the region.

An “agreed number” of Arab refugees would be absorbed in the Jordan Valley area and in other parts of Judea and Samaria – especially in the area between Ramallah and Shechem.

An international fund would support the refugees and Israel would release Palestinian Authority prisoners three years after a diplomatic accord is signed.

Will he lay out a blueprint?

The Saudi report notwithstanding, the Washington Post's Jackson Diehl estimated Sunday that Obama will not go so far as to present a blueprint for a peace settlement, despite being urged to do so by several Arab governments. 

"As the U.N. General Assembly meets in late September, Obama aims to announce the opening of a new negotiating process between Israelis and Palestinians, along with 'confidence-building' steps by Israel, the Palestinian Authority and a number of Arab governments," the columnist wrote. Obama "will probably lay out at least a partial vision of the two-state settlement that all sides now say they support, and the course that negotiations should take. More significantly, he intends to set an ambitious timetable for completing the peace deal -- something that will please Arabs but may irritate Israel."

Irans Supreme Leader Calls Muslims to Prepare for a Savior

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL– Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called on Muslims around the world to mobilize their troops alongside Iran against Israel and the United States to prepare for the coming of the "Mahdi" seen as "the savior of Islam".

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged all Islamic countries to unite in anticipation of al-Mahdi al-Montazar, Arabic for the “awaited one”, according to statements obtained by Worthy News Friday, August 28.

“We still have a long way to go in order to achieve this. We have to train honest forces that can stop the obstacles that may hinder the coming of the Mahdi like the United States and Israel,” said Ali Saeedi, a spokesman for the Iranian leader in statements distributed by Arabic media.

He described Iran's supreme leader as "a direct representative" of the Mahdi and said following his orders is like "obeying the guided one.”

ARMED FORCES

"Since the armed forces are commanded by the Supreme Leader, they are thus obeying the orders of the awaited Mahdi," Saeedi explained. He said Iran's Revolutionary Guards and armed forces "hold religious authority to prepare for the appearance of the Mahdi.”

The Mahdi is believed by Muslims to be arriving before Judgment Day to rid the world of injustice.

Art's Commentary.....We see two interesting things in this news item. First we see the preparation for the invasion of Israel early in the tribulation period as recorded in Ezekiel 38-39. Secondly we see how Islam is being prepared for the coming of Antichrist, whom they will be deceived into believing that he is their Mahdi.
