Evolutionary Folly

Biologists tell us that the more they study the makeup of living things, the more astonished they are at the complexity of life. All living organisms are made up of cells including man. The human body is made up of 100 trillion cells. Some of these cells are so small that 100 million single cells could occupy the space of a pinhead.

We are told that a single cell is the most complex structure known to man. Each man or woman’s life began when a single sperm cell fertilized an egg.

In that first cell, the potential of the whole man was contained and indeed the potential of the whole human race was contained.  That cell contained the ability to multiply into the completed man made up of 100 trillion cells.

Biologists tell us that the cell is a micro universe containing millions of molecules. They tell us that these molecules are the building blocks out of which man is constructed.

 In that first cell is contained all of the complexities of the eye, the ear, the human brain and the wonders of the whole human body.  Contained in that tiny cell is the body, mind, soul, will and emotions of the man. Indeed the mystery of life is contained in that single cell.

The human brain is one of the most mysterious and enigmatic organs of the human body. It serves as the vehicle for the most primal desires. Everything from the desire to eat and sleep to the ability to engage in intellectual civil discourse is held within the human brain.

The brain is the centre of a complex computer system. The body’s computer system computes and sends throughout the body billions of bits of information, information that controls every action, right down to the flicker of an eyelid. In most computer systems, the information is carried by wires and electronic parts. In the body, nerves are the wires that carry the information back and forth from the central nervous system. And in just one human brain there is probably more wiring, more electrical circuitry than in all the computer systems of the world put together.

The heart actually is a muscular pump forcing blood through thousands of miles of blood vessels. Blood carries food and oxygen to every part of the body. The heart pumps an average of six litres of blood every minute, and in one day pumps enough blood to fill more than forty 50-gallon drums.

The body has a chemical plant far more intricate than any plant that man has ever built. This plant changes the food we eat into living tissue. It causes the growth of flesh, blood, bones and teeth. It even repairs the body when parts are damaged by accident or disease. Power for work and play comes from the food we eat and digest.

From Adam came the transfer of the first cell and in that cell was contained the whole human race. For 6,000 years the process has continued and the basic makeup of man has not changed.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). It was man that God formed not an ape.

God formed man from the dust of the earth not from an ape. Nor did He form an ape that became a man. “Man Became a living soul.” An ape does not have a living soul. That is patently obvious.

The raw material, the basic chemicals in our body, can be found in the “dust of the ground”. However, these chemicals cannot arrange themselves into cell tissues, organs and systems. This can only happen with an input of the intelligence of a sovereign, infinite, almighty God.

We are more than the chemicals that form our body. We are a special creation of God. Man is God’s masterpiece. He is God’s workmanship, the crown of His creation.

Today there are over 7 billion people on the earth and each one is man as originally designed by God in the beginning.  Each of the seven billion men on earth today is uniquely and distinctly the essence of what man is and always has been. Of the seven billion men on earth there is no variation or change in their essence as men. The sun may blacken some and the environment may change some in superficial ways but the essence of what man is never changes.

I repeat, God created Adam and placed in him the seed of the whole human race. God created the animals the same way. There is no change in their essence, neither man nor animals. Though there is variety within the species of animals, the species never change.

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them” (Genesis 2:1). God’s creation was a finished work, it was complete and final. And God was pleased with it. “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31).

The single cell from which each man or woman originates contains wonders beyond human comprehension. It contains millions of processes and materials including the completed human genome. It is obvious that unless the cell was complete it could not reproduce nor could it slowly evolve.  It seems obvious that the whole process is beyond the possibility of the evolutionary theory.

Understand that unless there was a perfect, complete human male body to produce that first perfect single cell for reproduction and unless there was a perfect and complete female body to fertilize that cell, no life could come about. Evolution is logically an impossibility. A partially formed body undergoing the evolutionary process could not be involved in human reproduction.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7).

Why is it that men insist on holding to the theory of evolution? The Word of God tells us that the reason is not intellectual but it is a matter of the heart which is set against God. “The fool hath said in his heart there is no God…” (Psalm 14:1). Notice it is in the heart and not in the mind that men reject God and His creative powers.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:18-22).

When the heart turns from God in rebellion against Him, God gives such a heart over to foolishness. The wise become fools.

Understand that the seed of the whole human race was placed in Adam. When Adam sinned he fell from grace and both Adam and his seed died spiritually. When Adam passed on his seed it was a seed that was dead in trespasses and sin. “And you hath he quickened, (made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1).

All those who are partakers of Adam’s seed are born with a body which is dying and a spirit that is separated from God, spiritually dead.

God has made provisin for all men who are unregenerate and cut off from Him. He has provided “in Christ” a way for men to be restored from alienation from Him.  “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). All men are born with Adam’s nature which has been corrupted by his sin and that sin nature has been passed on to every son of Adam. The truth is that men are sinners by nature and by choice.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).  Christ states clearly that if a man wants to go to heaven and escape the eternal wrath of God he must be born again by God’s Spirit.

He must become a new man, a new person. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The natural man, the unsaved person is under the wrath of God because of sin. “… God is angry with the wicked every day” (Psalm 7:11). “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John3:36).

Though the unsaved man is alienated from God, yet he belongs to God and is accountable to Him. “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). Every man belongs to God by right of the fact that He created all men in Adam.

Not only do all men belong to God but they are accountable to Him. In Revelation 20:11-15 we see all men brought in to account before God. “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

What should you do if you are unsaved? Jesus said, “…Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” My friend your sin and your sin nature have separated you from God and you must recognize your sin and repent of it and turn from it and receive Christ as your Saviour.

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit” (1 Peter 3:18). “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24).

In that scriptural context Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47). Remember that faith and repentance are two sides of the same coin, they must go together.

 What hinders you from coming to Christ right now?

The evolutionist is blind to the truth of God’s Word and he refuses to see the truth that God created the heavens and the earth and everything in it. He rejects the fact that he is accountable to God. He propagates the absurd idea that things evolved out of nothing by chance. He does that to wishfully escape his accountability to God and to escape the judgment of God upon him for his sin.

They allege that single cells evolved into more complex forms of life. They allege that over millions of years, one form of life gradually transitioned into another form of life. Fish became birds and dogs became bears etcetera. The problem is that there would of necessity be intermediate forms of life in the long period of transition. They have no explanation as to where the original single cell came from with all of its complexity.

There should be found fossils that demonstrate a dog as 50 % dog and 50 % bear, etcetera.  The problem is that there has never been found one single record of such transition in all of the fossil records. Some fake fossils have been presented but they have been discredited.

Scientists call these missing links because no intermediate forms of life can be found in the fossil records. Creationists claim that each species was created separately and that is the reason there are no missing links.

Roger Oakland in his excellent book, “The Evolutionary Conspiracy” makes the following statement which explains the moral decline we have faced in recent times.

[Shattered marriages, sexual promiscuity, abortion, human trafficking, homosexual marriage, crime, youth in rebellion. What is happening to our world and why?

It may astonish you, but belief in the evolutionary of life is the source of much of our present society’s confusion and waning morality. Evolutionism, in all of its forms, has become so firmly entrenched that it now tears at the very fabric of our moral structure.

God’s law, when applied correctly, establishes man’s personal and moral conduct, his families’ well-being, and harmony in the ruling of a nation…..The first thing we are told in the Bible is that “God created.”

God denied “in the beginning” brings disharmony in every other relationship in life.

Evolutionism frees man from the question of submission to God.

The evolutionary premise is a cancerous tumor that has reached into every major circle of society and corrupted cherished values.]

When young people who are raised in a Christian home go off to high school or college they are bombarded with the lies of evolutionary theory. To believe those lies will inevitably result in loss of faith and ultimately surrender to the world and its values. If a young person can be persuaded that there is no God, faith is of course shipwrecked.

One young college freshman revealed how that on the first day of classes his professor stated that he was open to leave now because if he stayed his faith would be destroyed before the semester was over.

The evolutionist lies when he states that evolution is a fact and that no knowledgeable person will deny it. The truth is that some of the world’s foremost scientists have stated that they believe that creation took place by God in six literal days. Raymond Damadian, Inventor of the MRI is one of them. The MRI is one of the major medical breakthroughs of modern times.

As Science Digest reported: "Scientists who utterly reject Evolution may be one of our fastest-growing controversial minorities… Many of the scientists supporting this position hold impressive credentials in science."

150 Ph.D. scientists and 300 other scientists with master’s degrees in science or engineering are members of the Korea Association of Creation Research. 

The evolutionary theory is now taking the next step, spiritual evolution with its’ teaching that men can now become  gods.

Satan said in the beginning to Eve, “Ye shall be as gods.” Satan is the ultimate liar but men are now buying into his lie.

We are now coming to the end of the age and we see Satan’s final attempt to seduce and enslave men and to de-throne God. Listen to Satan’s boast in Isaiah 14:13-14, “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

“Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions (the Word of God) which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle” (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

The Last Days Apostasy

Our Lord warned us that the greatest sign of the nearness of His return would be a great apostasy, a great turning away from the truth. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (contemplative meditation)” (1 Timothy 4:1).

Those days are now upon us.

All across Canada and America churches are being radically changed. Quietly, almost imperceptibly, change has been taking place in the Evangelical Church. The groundwork for this change was laid in 1948.

There is a tendency, if challenged, to look at the church of yesterday and declare that not much has changed. The challenge should be to look at the church of 60-70 years ago and see how great the change has been. When you do that, the apostasy of our day is obvious. The real challenge is to study what Christ designed and called the church to be and do.

All around us are new evangelical, purpose driven churches which have bowed down to the world and who exist to draw the world into the church by being like the world. “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” (James 4:4).

In recent years all of the gradual change has given way to a flood of apostasy in the evangelical church. All around the world there are troubled Christians who have watched as the focus of their churches has shifted from Bible based teaching to purpose driven experiences.

We see five stages to the present apostasy

1 - Abandonment of separation from the world. 2 – Abandonment of separation from apostates. 3 – Abandonment of the Word of God. 4 – Turning to Mysticism. 5 – Union with the harlot church.

1 - Abandonment of Separation from the World

New Evangelicalism from the start determined to reject Biblical separation. Dr. Harold Ockenga stated in reference to the founding of New Evangelicalism. "Neo-evangelicalism was born in 1948 in connection with a convocation address which I gave in the Civil Auditorium in Pasadena. While reaffirming the theological view of fundamentalism, this address repudiated its ecclesiology (teaching concerning the church) and its social theory. The ringing call for a repudiation of separatism and the summons to social involvement received a hearty response from many evangelicals. It differed from fundamentalism in its repudiation of separatism and its determination to engage itself in the theological dialogue of the day. It had a new emphasis upon the application of the gospel to the sociological, political, and economic areas of life."

As stated above, one of the founding principles of New Evangelicalism was the repudiation of separated living by the Christian. The phrase “summons to social involvement” means the Christian is to get socially involved with the people of the world.

What New Evangelicalism has determined to repudiate is Biblical separatism. God’s Word is very clear that we are to separate from the world. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15).

New Evangelicals have sought acceptance by the world and found rejection by the Lord because of it.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6:17-18).

The summons of New Evangelicalism was to get involved in the world, and to abandon separation from the world.

Notice the phrase, “…the summons to social involvement” And the response, “…it received a hearty response from many evangelicals.”

The first step in apostasy is to forsake the Lord’s command to separate from the world.

Today the New Evangelical church is as worldly as it is possible to be. It has brought the world and its ways and its music and its entertainment into the church and into their lives. It operates according to the business principles of the world not according to the instructions of the Head of the church.

There is little difference between the lives of people of the world and the lives of New Evangelicals today.

We have a principal that applies equally to Israel and the church. It is found in Psalm 106:35, “But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.” For that reason Israel was cast out of their land. That is where New Evangelicalism has lost its way and it will be cast out by the Lord. We read about that casting out in Revelation 3:16, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

Notice the statement, “Reaffirming the theological view of fundamentalism.” That statement actually says, we are going to pretend to be like fundamentalists while we proceed to do what fundamentalists do not, “be like the world.” This is where the deception comes in. People are led to believe that they are worshipping in a Bible believing church when they are not. Apostasy always gives just enough truth to deceive. You can sit in a New Evangelical Church and hear a lot of good things from scripture and be deceived by what is left out or by that which is wrongly interpreted.

This the first mark of apostasy.

2 - The Abandonment of Separation from Apostates

The ecumenical movement is the second step toward apostasy. Notice in the New Evangelical manifesto the term, “repudiated its ecclesiology.” This was the call to associate with liberals and Bible denying churches and individuals. Up to this time the Philadelphian Church had held to strict separation from all who denied the basic doctrines (teachings) of the Word of God. Separation is God’s solution for apostasy.

"If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds” (2 John 2:10-11).

Dr. Ockenga made the following statement: "The New Evangelicalism has changed its strategy from one of separation to one of infiltration.”

Infiltration does not work. When you wrap a mud ball in a white sheet the mud ball does not change but sheet certainly does. “A little leaven leaveneth (corrupts) the whole lump.”

The abandonment of separation from doctrinal and theological error is the second step in the progress of apostasy. New evangelicalism has long since been contaminated by association with apostate churches and individuals.

Separation is God's prescription for treating the disease of apostasy. It is not ours to repudiate, for it is a divine command, not a human idea.

The Abandonment of the Word of God

The third stage apostasy now developing is the abandonment of God’s Word. For some years many New Evangelicals have paid lip service to the Word of God but have acted as if the Bible was not important. Now the wraps are coming off.

Andy Stanley, one of the most influential evangelicals in America has stated, “I would ask preachers and pastors and student pastors in their communications to get the spotlight off the Bible….”

Stanley has also embraced the heresy that the first 11 chapters of Genesis are a fairy tale. This view completely discredits the authority of the entire Bible.

Stanley’s teaching is received by tens of thousands of pastors on a regular basis. Yet no one calls him to account for his rejection of the Bible as the final authority.

There are three men who totally dominate the evangelical movement today. Andy Stanley in the East, Bill Hybels in the central part of the country and Rick Warren on the West Coast. These three men totally control evangelical narrative with their teaching, books and methodology.

These men are change agents and they want to fundamentally change the Evangelical Church.  They have made great inroads in this quest.

Biola University professor J.P. Moreland says that Christians are too committed to the Bible. He goes on to say, “In the actual practices of the Evangelical community in North America, there is an over commitment to scripture in a way that is false, irrational and harmful to the cause of Christ.”

Evangelicals are now turning away from scripture as being authoritative. For some time many pastors have relegated the Bible to a secondary role in their preaching and in their ministries.

Rick Warren has rejected the Bible’s teaching on what the church is to be and what it is to do. The following is Warren’s strategy which denies scripture at every turn.

Perception must be changed from viewing people as “Saved” or “lost” to “churched” or “unchurched”

Find out what impresses the unchurched in your community and do it

Bring in popular “heroes” to attract the multitudes

Use successful principles of retailing: accessibility - surplus parking - inventory - service - visibility - and good cash flow

Pastors should model themselves after business men and plan strategically

Do not preach expository sermons, you have to win them and build relationships

Move from theocentric approach to ministry, to a human needs approach

We must begin to say - I am not trying to convert any other religious people to my viewpoint

This formula originated with Robert Schuller’s Leadership Conference of which Rick Warren is a graduate. Warren has made it his own. Each of these strategies is a direct contradiction of God’s Word. New Evangelical churches have adopted these unbiblical strategies and have abandoned the Word of God.

This abandonment of the Word of God is the third stage in the present apostasy. This apostasy totally severs evangelicalism from the Word of God as the authority in their lives and ministries. The sky is now the limit for greater apostasy in the coming days.

Turning to Mysticism              

The next step in the present apostasy is turning to mysticism.

It has been noted that the above mentioned men, Warren, Hybels and Andy Stanley, who are rejecting the Bible all have something in common. They all promote contemplative spiritually (mysticism). The Bible and mysticism are incompatible.

Henri Nouwen says, “For Christian leadership to be truly fruitful in the future, a movement from the moral to the mystical is required.”

Alice Bailey said in the last century, “The new age is upon us and we are witnessing the birth pangs of the new civilization. This is now in progress, that which is old and undesirable must go. The spirit has gone out of the old faiths and the light is transferring itself into a new form which will manifest itself on earth as the new world religion.”

Many evangelical leaders today are unknowingly furthering Alice Bailey’s teachings and are calling for change from old-fashioned Christianity. This is a rejection of God’s Word by men who have no real understanding of God’s design and purpose for the church and the believer as it is revealed in the Word of God.

Eastern mysticism (Hinduism): teaches that man is innately good, that we are divine, that all is deity. It teaches we are part of a oneness, a global god consciousness.

The Biblical world view reveals that God is outside of His creation, outside of man and is separated from man, who as a sinner, is separated from God by his sin. Only through God’s plan of salvation can God indwell man and have a relationship with him.

In mysticism we are told that what separates us from God is our ignorance of the fact that we have an internal divinity. This idea of man’s internal divinity must be awakened within him. Through the techniques of eastern meditation man can connect to the oneness that is within him.

Rick Warren is deeply involved in Eastern Meditation. The evidence is found in the fact that he engaged three New Age men to design and administer his health plan, known as the Daniel Plan. These three men, Dr. Daniel Amen, Dr. Oz and Dr. Hymen are involved in Eastern meditation, Reiki healing and Transcendental Meditation.

Warren claims that there are some 500,000 churches involved to some degree in his purpose driven program. That gives us some indication of the extent of the penetration of Eastern Mysticism or Contemplative Meditation into the Evangelical Church.

Evangelicals discovered contemplative meditation and this (supposed) new power within and that they could now not only change himself, but could use this new power to change the world.

By the turn of the century this New Christianity became rampant in the Evangelical Church.

The social gospel of the liberals took root in the Evangelical Church. The gospel of Christ morphed into the new gospel of the new spirituality. Change took the place of regeneration.

The truly sad thing is that multitudes of evangelicals have no idea of what is happening right in front of them. They cannot see beyond their noses. It is not perhaps that they are involved in contemplative meditation, but that they are unaware of the tide that is sweeping down upon the church.

Turning to mysticism is another step down into the great apostasy.

Union with the Harlot Church

The scriptures reveal that there would be growing apostasy in the church, an apostasy which would take place over the long church age. We are also told that this apostasy will climax in a world- wide counterfeit church that will totally turn away from the truth in the last days. In Revelation 17 this apostate church is called the “Mother of Harlots.”

I believe that Satan is working to bring the present apostate groups and churches together to the point that he can use them for his purpose of establishing the Harlot. This program is well underway with the present apostasy. This apostasy will culminate in the Harlot world church.

The Emergents are not a church but rather a group of men whose goal it is to influence the Evangelical church. They are fashioning a church that renounces historic Christianity. Here are some statements by Emergent men.

Emergent leader Samir Selmanovic has stated, “The emerging church movement has come to believe that the ultimate context of the spiritual aspirations of a follower of Jesus Christ is not Christianity but rather the kingdom of God. Is Christianity the only religion that understands the true meaning of life? Or does God place his truth in others too? The gospel is not our gospel, but the gospel of the kingdom of God, and what belongs to the kingdom of God cannot be hijacked by Christianity”

It is obvious that this apostasy is designed for a world church. It denies historic Christianity to accommodate other religions.

Another Emergent leader, Brian McLaren, writes, “We don’t know what the gospel is.” In the book, The Secret Message of Jesus: Uncovering the Truth that Could Change Everything. McLaren states that he believes that the church has never understood the message of Jesus. Very early, he says, the church twisted what Jesus taught into a gospel of “justification by grace through faith, the free gift of salvation. Christ being a substitutionary sacrifice for sin”.

Such a statement is a total rejection of the gospel. Then he goes on to lay the groundwork for a world church.

He says, “Jesus seems to say, the kingdom of God doesn’t need to wait until something else happens. No, it is available and among you now…invite people of all nations, races, classes and religions to participate in this network of dynamic, interactive relationships with God and all God’s creation!”

He has removed the gospel and brought the whole world into the church. The amazing thing is that many Evangelicals cannot see that this is total apostasy.

Today the word that is bringing all religions together is the word “tolerance.”  The religions of the world will tolerate anything and everything except the notion that Christ is the only way to God. The absolutes of true Christianity are intolerable and cannot be accepted.  Every other compromise is acceptable. Bring everything to the lowest common denominator and unity is realized.

The most disturbing thing is the way that in recent years those who call themselves evangelicals have apostatized. Those who seemed to preach the truth, those who seemed to believe the truth, have now turned away from the truth. That is really not surprising when you consider that this is the very essence of apostasy. Apostasy is to know the truth and to turn away from it. The pulpits of our land are filled with apostates who say peace and safety and fail to warn our people and our nation of their sin and rebellion against God. They fail to warn them that the Day of the Lord is about to sweep them away! Today those men tell their people that everything is fine, just relax, don’t worry!  They preach ditties for dummies.  Instead of feeding the sheep they put them to sleep. They tickle ears with trivialities and entertain the unsaved on their way to hell right from their churches.

Rick Warren is the recognized leader of the Evangelical church in America and around the world.

Warren has developed a Peace Plan. Warren’s Peace Plan has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ or the scriptures. It has everything to do with bringing the religions of the world and the people of the world together in a great world religious union. He is preparing the woman to ride the beast.

Rick Warren told the Islamic Society of North America that he is “not interested in interfaith dialogue; he is only interested in interfaith projects”. He is saying lets’ forget about truth and just come together to make the world a better place. That is exactly the program of the Harlot Church of the last days. Rick Warren is coming to Evangelicals in particular, and enticing them to forget about truth and just join the world and the religions of the world to make a better world.

The great apostasy is now coming to full fruition and awaits the rapture of the true body of Christ. At that time the union of all the world’s religions will take place.

Wars and Rumours of Wars

There has been much talk about a new world order which is simply a world government. John prophesied, nearly 2000 years ago about a coming world government and a coming world dictator, the Antichrist. John said in Rev. 13:7, “….and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations”. In verse 16, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads”.

In the last 60 years the call for a world government has been growing. In 1950 a Senate Foreign relations committee introduced the following resolution. “Whereas, in order to achieve universal peace and justice, the present Charter of the U.N. should be changed to provide a true world government constitution”.

Another statement reads, “World government is coming, in fact, it is inevitable. No arguments for or against it can change that fact.”

Harry Trueman said, “It will be just as easy for nations to get along in a republic of the world as it is for us to get along in a republic of the United States.

“Regionalization is in keeping with the tri-lateral plan which calls for a gradual convergence of East and West, ultimately leading toward the goal of one world government, national sovereignty is no longer a viable concept” said Zbigniew Brezezinski.

DR. Henry Kissinger said, ”Today America would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order (referring to the riot caused by the Rodney King incident). Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, (outer space) whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to be delivered them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the world government”.

One of the pillars of a world government will be a world currency.

Former West German Chancellor Willy Brandt said, “The new world order is a world that has super-national authority to regulate the world commerce and industry; an international organization that would control the production and the consumption of oil; an international currency that would replace the dollar; ….and an international police force to enforce the edicts of the New World Order”.

I do not believe that this One World Government will appear until the Antichrist comes to power, but I believe the stage is now being set for his appearance. One of the stage setting events will be the collapse of the US dollar and the establishment of a world currency. The present monetary crisis suggests the dollar is in grave danger of collapse.

Financial problems are today universal. Russia and China are in serious financial crisis. China has recently called for a new world currency to replace the dollar. A group of oil-rich mid-east nations are calling for a new currency.

A Financial Times news report stated, “The US will lose its status as the superpower of the financial system… in the wake of the financial crisis this world will become multi-polar. The world will never be the same again.”

In Matthew 24 the disciples asked Jesus about the end of the age and the sign of His coming. “And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the (age) world?” (verse 3).

Jesus gives a number of signs but the one we want take notice of is found in verse 6. “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

Notice this verse teaches us that prior to the tribulation period there will be wars and rumours of wars. Jesus proceeds to describe the period before the tribulation period and the tribulation period itself. He specifically teaches that prior to the tribulation period there will be wars and rumours of wars.

Our intention in this article is to show that we are now living under the threat of wars, wars and rumours of war, wars such as the world has never seen or ever envisioned before. This is an indication of the lateness of the hour we are now living in.

In Revelation six the appointed time has come for the judgment of the tribulation period. In verse one, this day of vengeance is about to begin. Christ is about to begin to pour out His wrath upon the world to defeat Satan and his kingdom of this world.

“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see” (Revelation 6:1).

Now John proceeds to see the first of four horses; each horse has a rider, it is the same rider revealing four different aspects of his career.

“And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer” (Verse 2).

Who is the rider on the white horse? It is not the Lord Jesus, He is in heaven casting down this first seal judgment upon the earth. In Revelation 19:11, we see the triumphant Christ riding on a white horse at the end of the tribulation period. A rider on a white horse symbolizes a conqueror. In first century Rome, after a great victory the conquering general would ride through the gates of Rome on a white horse.

The rider on the white horse in Revelation six is an imitation Christ. This is the counterfeit Christ, the Antichrist who comes to conquer the earth. Notice he “had a bow” but he has no arrows. He is not going to war or to battle. Notice what is happening, “a crown was given unto him,” he is a victor on a white horse. “he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” He conquers without a battle; he takes over the world without firing a shot. This is how Antichrist comes to power.

Daniel says, “By peace he shall destroy many.” Paul said, “Peace and safety, then sudden destruction.”

How does he do that? What will be the scenario in the world that will enable him to do that?  We do not have to guess, as we have already noted, the scripture tells us the scenario. “Wars and rumours of war” Matthew 24:6, “For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom” (verse 7).

Before Antichrist is revealed to the world there will be a sudden rise in hostilities around the world. Unprecedented wars will explode all over the world with nations rising up against nations.

In the remainder of this article I will show how such a scenario is now forming. I believe the world stands on the threshold of unprecedented, catastrophic wars and the collapse of its economies, institutions and national governments.

The headline in The Sun on September 8 read, “Planet Closer to Catastrophic World War 111 than at any Time for Sixty Years, Experts Warn.”

George Friedman, the founder of geopolitical forecaster STRATFOR, has warned: “Be ready for war.”

Another headline reads, “Retired Green Beret Warns: World Governments are Preparing for Disaster and War”

He goes on to state, “It is my firm conviction that we will be involved in a world war that will be initiated by an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) weapon detonated over the continental United States.”

He states, “This conviction is apparently shared by world leaders, senior military personnel and prominent analysts, as well as being a general consensus of opinion worldwide.”

We are now aware of the fact that North Korea has the potential to launch a missile from a submarine or a long range missile and explode an EMP over America. We are told that in such a situation 200 million Americans would be dead in the first year. North Korea has also the potential to initiate a world war with a nuclear attack on South Korea or Japan or the US.

At this moment there is a potential for a war between the US and China in the area of the South China Sea.

Another headline in The Sun reads, “Russian President is Gearing Up for Atomic War with the West by Building Top-Secret Nuclear Shelters” The article went on to say, “Russia currently has the world’s largest arsenal of nuclear weapons.” Security chiefs fear Putin is prepared to use them.

Yet another troubling headline states, NATO is Reviewing “Nuclear Playbook” to Deter “Terrible Attacks by Russia – Pentagon Chief

Putin is preparing to dominate the world. He has spent multiplied billions on the upgrade of his military. Over half of Russian nuclear weapons are new. He has a new fleet of warships and aircraft.

In an amazing candid statement we read, “Vladimir Putin has praised the Russian cruise missiles fired against terrorists in Syria from the sea. He expressed hope that these weapons would not have to be armed with nuclear warheads.”

Apparently Putin has arrived at the place where nuclear weapons are now a real option for him. Putin has in recent days publicly directed his military to have their nuclear weapons in combat readiness.

In a recent press conference Putin stated that the US and the EU cannot be trusted. He belligerently stated that Russia will do whatever is in her best interests in the Mideast.

For 70 years the nuclear nations have been governed by the principle of Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD). This was the realization that if a nation initiated a nuclear attack the enemy would retaliate by totally destroying the attacker.

A Russian general stated that, “Russia is now 100% safe.” Russia is so confident in their new missile defense system that they have abandoned the principle of Mutual Assured Destruction.

While the eyes of the world are on ISIS, Russia is creating weapons unlike anything the world has ever seen before. We have the revelation of a giant self-propelled torpedo that can create a giant tsunami more than a thousand feet high.

It apparently has a warhead of up to 100 megatons which could produce a tsunami 1650 ft. high. It would destroy all life up to 930 miles inland from the US east coast. The radiation released would make the area unliveable for five years.

Russia has developed the RS-26 missile that has a range of up to 11,000 kilometers. It has a system of variable speeds which makes it indefensible. They have also developed a very effective missile defense system in which they feel secure from nuclear attack.

In another headline we read, “Russia Warns of New World War as North Korea Tests Bomb More Powerful than Hiroshima”

Iran and Saudi Arabia are threatening war as tensions grow between them.

In the Mideast the threat of war is constant as the potential continues to exist in which the major powers could be drawn into conflict over Syria. Russia and the US are locked in a struggle over Assad. This has potential to erupt into war between the two.

There is the potential for a world war to develop over Ukraine or other Baltic states.

The threat of a catastrophic terror attack continues to exist. Pakistan’s 200 nuclear weapons are vulnerable, to be bought or stolen by terrorists or terrorist states.

The overall world situation is deteriorating. The world’s economies are cascading out of control. There is civil unrest in Europe, unrest is developing in the US and there is the potential for conflict over racial lines or if there are election irregularities. America is polarized as never before.

The US government and the nations of the world are preparing for disaster and war. Last week the US administration warned Americans to have emergency supplies and water on hand.

The world seems to be one big powder keg about to explode.

“Ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars.” That is the very hour in which we are living.

In Revelation 6:2 we read about Antichrist’s appearance on the scene, “….and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering and to conquer.” 

How does he do that?

What will be the scenario in the world that will enable him to do that? 

We do not have to guess, the Scripture tells us the scenario, "Wars and Rumours of wars" (Matthew 24:6). "For nation shall rise against nation and Kingdom against Kingdom" (verse 7).

Terrorists, possibly with nuclear and biological weapons, bringing disasters all around the world?  Panic, distress, rioting, looting, turmoil and lawlessness will bring the world to despair.

I repeat, before Antichrist comes to power there will be a sudden rise in hostilities around the world. Wars will explode all over the world with nuclear destruction? 

Possibly a Russian nuclear attack against the US? Perhaps Pakistan against India?  Perhaps China against India or Taiwan? Perhaps war in the Balkans or Ukraine?  Possibly North Korea against South Korea or Japan? 

We do not know the details of this scenario, but evidently the whole world will explode into wars and rumours of wars prior to the appearance of Antichrist riding upon his white horse to bring a false peace to a desperate world.

I suspect that in the midst of these wars and turmoil that the war of Psalm 83 will take place. That will result in a great destruction from the Lord upon Islam.

When Antichrist comes, Islam will have been greatly subdued and prepared to receive him as their Mahdi or Saviour at least temporarily.

At that moment, with the world in absolute despair and total deception it will receive a seeming savior with open arms and great enthusiasm as he comes onto the world stage.

What would it take for the world’s nations to surrender their national sovereignty to Antichrist?

What would it take for Russia, China, USA, Great Britain, India, Pakistan, North Korea and Iran to surrender their nukes and missiles and modern weapon to a world government?

In the present world scenario, how long would it take for the nations to come to that place?

I suggest that unless something totally unprecedented and unexpected happens, the nations will never make that surrender.

I also suggest that the above mentioned disastrous scenario with war and chaos and with nuclear exchanges is the only situation in which the nations will be desperate enough to surrender their sovereignty and their weapons to a world government.

I also suggest that this is the reason for the primitive weapons in the war of Ezekiel 38-39. Remember this war takes place after the tribulation period begins and after the war of Psalm 83 which is prior to the tribulation period.

In this situation, Antichrist comes upon the scene riding on his white horse (figuratively) offering himself as the answer to all of the disaster and chaos and fear.

He begins to talk. My how he can talk! “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things…” (Revelation 13:5).

“Give me your armies and your weapons, put them under my control. Give me your nuclear weapons and the world will be a safe place again. Give me your police forces; put them under my control and I'll restore peace to the earth; I'll make the earth one big happy place and we'll all be one.

Give me control over your devastated economies and over agriculture and over transportation systems which have been disrupted by the chaos and wars. Put the world’s monetary system in my hands and I will establish a one world currency and bring peace and prosperity to the entire world.”

There will be a peace conference to end all peace conferences. The whole world will participate, war will be outlawed. This false messiah will control all of the weapons of war. War will now seem impossible. Israel will be given the West Bank and Jerusalem and a guarantee of peace and safety.

Islam will go along with the peace proposals, believing that Antichrist will ultimately deliver Israel into her hands.

The world will welcome a world religion, a world economy, a world government and a world leader. The whole world will come together, at least for a short time.

The euphoria of this new and seemingly final peace will sweep the world. Through the charisma and flatteries of the Antichrist, the world will be impressed. Peace and safety will be the cry. He will demonstrate "signs and lying wonders;" the world will be deceived.

He will have special powers given to him by Satan himself.  He will perform miracles, signs and amazing wonders with all "deceivableness of unrighteousness,"

Paul says, he will deceive men with his false philosophies. "God shall send strong delusion that they should believe a lie" (verse 11). The lie about who Antichrist is and the lie about what he can do and the lie that men can become as gods.

This great peace initiative will be led by Antichrist who will be the leader of the Revived Roman Empire. (Daniel 9:26)  He will gain the allegiance of the New Ecumenical World-Wide Union of all religions. He will forge a vast political/commercial/religious alliance designed to dominate world affairs.

A great euphoria will sweep over the world as this wise, dynamic, charismatic, benevolent, and powerful, wonder working leader seems to offer the world and its citizens all they have ever hoped for in their wildest dreams. The third world will be ecstatic with enthusiasm.

For over a hundred years there has been a powerful force including a group of wealthy men who have worked tirelessly to bring about a world government. Their goal has been to unify the world, ostensibly to bring peace and prosperity to the entire world. Of course the wealthy always seek personal gain.

They have sought to limit national sovereignty (including the USA) and ultimately to eliminate it. They seek to unify the world’s economies, the world’s currencies and the world’s laws. They seek to destroy the various cultures and to unify the world’s religions.

They are seeking to bring about a financial collapse to further facilitate their goals. Today they are using immigration to make the world a melting pot. Global warming is a tool to allow the UN to intrude into the jurisdiction of the nations.

Satan has always sought to weaken the nations to advance his agenda. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations” (Isaiah 14:12).

Satan’s agenda is a world government through which he can easily control all men on earth. At Babel, the Lord scattered the nations to keep that from happening.

Satan and his minions have worked very hard to bring his plans to fruition. The only reason Satan has been frustrated is because it is not God’s time as yet. Paul reveals that to us in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7, “And now ye know what withholdeth that he (Antichrist) might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth (hinders) will let, until he be taken out of the way.”

The Holy Spirit working through the lives of believers has restrained Satan from carrying forth his plan to establish his kingdom on earth through his man Antichrist.

When the church is (taken out of the way) raptured and taken out of the world, Satan will be freed to attempt his total control of the world of men and women.

The stage is now being set for his man of sin to come on the scene, but before that can happen the church will be caught up to its eternal home and be with Christ forever.

We can see the stage being set for this end time scenario to take place.

I remind you that I have no special revelation from the Lord. I just take my Bible in one hand and the news in the other. The Lord has committed Himself to reveal to His servants that which He plans to do in the future. “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). Of course that revelation comes through His Word.

We are watching a scenario building which will allow the god of this world, Satan, to carry out his ill-fated goal of usurping God’s rule over His creation. Satan’s plan is to place his man on the throne of this world instead of Jesus Christ.

The scripture reveals that the major thrust of Satan’s attempt to establish his kingdom is a world church. This effort will be led by a religious leader called the false prophet (Revelation 13:11-15 – 16:13). He will lead the way to a unified world through a unified church.

Though no man knows the day or the hour, I believe that we are very near to the sound of the trumpet. Are you ready?
