The Vatican has created a new church structure to accomodate non-Catholics

Pope Benedict has approved a new church provision that will allow non-Catholics and in particular, the Anglicans, to convert to Catholicism while at the same time, maintaining many of their distinctive spiritual and liturgical traditions.

The Vatican made this decision in response to the disillusionment of some Anglicans over the election of openly gay bishops and the blessing of same sex marriage which has caused a major uproar in the Anglican church not only in England, but across the world.

This never-before provision for Protestants to become a part of the Catholic Church has many Protestant leaders concerned about the breakdown in doctrinal differences between the Catholics and Protestants that came out of the Reformation 500 years ago.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The announcement by the Vatican in Rome that the Pope has approved a church provision that will allow non-Catholics to convert to Catholicism is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

In response to the outcry by the Church of England, the Anglicans, about women bishops, openly gay bishops and gay unions, the Vatican has made a way to accommodate these disgruntled Protestants. This Vatican accommodation to Protestants has Protestant Church leaders preparing to see a flow of new converts to Catholicism and its liturgical pattern of worship especially in light of the growth of the emerging church philosophy.

Revelation 17 predicts a worldwide church will be in operation during the seven year period of judgment found in Bible prophecy and known as the Tribulation. In the first 3 1/2 years of this time in the future, this one-world religion will be headquartered in a seven-hilled city, Revelation 17:9 and that city would be the city of Rome, the location of the Vatican. This mother-son cult first established in Babylon 4,500 years ago, Genesis 11:4b, has survived history and will play a major role in the last days.

This announcement from Pope Benedict at the Vatican is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Surprise Vatican Plan Would Welcome Anglicans Unhappy With Gay, Female Clergy

VATICAN CITY - The Vatican announced Tuesday it was making it easier for Anglicans to convert to Roman Catholicism — a surprise move designed to entice traditionalists opposed to women priests, openly gay clergy and the blessing of same-sex unions.

The decision, reached in secret by a small cadre of Vatican officials, was sure to add to the problems of the 77-million-strong Anglican Communion as it seeks to deal with deep doctrinal divisions that threaten a permanent schism among its faithful.

The change means conservative Anglicans from around the world will be able to join the Catholic Church while retaining aspects of their Anglican liturgy and identity, including married priests. Until now, disaffected Anglicans had joined the church primarily on a case by case basis.

"The unity of the church does not require a uniformity that ignores cultural diversity, as the history of Christianity shows," said Cardinal William Levada, head of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in announcing the decision.

The spiritual leader of the global Anglican church, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, was not consulted about the change and was informed only hours before the announcement. He nevertheless tried to downplay the significance and said it wasn't a Vatican commentary on Anglican problems.

"It has no negative impact on the relations of the communion as a whole to the Roman Catholic Church as a whole," he said in London.

The decision could undermine decades of talks between the Vatican and Anglican leaders over how they could possibly reunite. Although Levada insisted such discussions remain a priority, the Vatican move could be taken as a signal that the ultimate goal of ecumenical talks is to convert Anglicans to Catholicism.

Still, the decision confirmed Pope Benedict XVI's design of creating a unified, tradition-minded Catholic Church — a goal he outlined at the start of his pontificate and has been steadily implementing ever since.

Public Puts Cap on Global Warming

A policy analyst with The Heritage Foundation says the American public is not buying into global warming.

According to Heritage Foundation senior policy analyst Ben Lieberman, cap-and-trade legislation in the Senate is gaining as much favor as the public option in the healthcare debate.

"Polling shows that the public does not buy global warming, [and] certainly doesn't buy it as a crisis justifying a blank check expensive response in the midst of a recession and ten percent unemployment," he states.

"And in fact," continues Lieberman, "a lot of the messaging and issue ads on the Kerry-Boxer Senate Climate Bill don't even mention global warming. They try to pass it off as a green energy jobs bill, which is very dubious."

Lieberman notes that calls to act immediately on so-called "climate change" legislation are probably in response to the fact that the public is wising up -- and if they wait too long, he says, they will not be able to push their agenda.

Israeli and US forces on Wednesday launched their largest joint missile defense drill ever. The exercise was scheduled to include simulated ballistic missile attacks on Israel from Iran, Syria and Lebanon's Hizballah terrorist militia.

Various anti-missile systems were to be tested during the drill, including Israel's Arrow 2, US-made Patriot batteries deployed in Israel and the US Navy's AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense System. More than a dozen US warships sailed into Israeli territorial waters to take part in the exercise, and could be seen from Israeli beaches.

Israel in Desperate Need of More Rain

The head of Israel's Water Authority on Tuesday warned that if this winter and the next are not accompanied by above average rainfall, Israel will begin to have difficulty providing fresh water to its citizens.

Speaking before a state commission of inquiry into the water crisis, Water Authority chief Prof. Uri Shani reported that in addition to the dangerous drop in the level of the Sea of Galilee, Israel's largest fresh water reservoir, one of the nation's two main sources of groundwater has also dropped below its red lines.

Along with the Sea of Galilee, most of Israel's fresh water is provided by underground mountain and coastal aquifers. The mountain aquifer, which is also tapped by the Palestinian Arabs, often illegally, is in danger of permanent damage. While the coastal aquifer is also worryingly low, it has not yet reached its red line.

Despite recent tensions with Turkey, Shani proposed purchasing fresh water from the Islamic nation as a temporary solution until Israel knows whether or not the coming winters will provide enough rain.

Is Alternative to Dollar in Works?

Plan for 'Special Drawing Rights' creates competition for reserve currency

The administration of President Barack Obama, without congressional authorization, is advancing a plan that could end the use of the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency by setting up International Monetary Fund Special Drawing Rights to compete.

The move comes as the dollar heads toward a 14-month low of $1.50/euro and as some top fund managers, including some of President Obama's top financial supporters, worry the decline will continue as long as Obama depends on China to fund trillion dollar budget deficits.

It is Obama's promise to participate in a G20 nations agreement by giving $250 billion to the IMF to set up the alternative reserve currency that now has been documented in the final communiqué of the London meeting, according to the G20 website.

At G20.org, a report under "The London Summit 2009" reveals the LondonSummit.gov.uk/en/ site where "Point 5" of the final communiqué says the G20 agreed to allocate that amount to Special Drawing Rights in a move calculated to provide the liquidity needed to position SDRs as a dollar alternative in international trade.

Plans for the dollar alternative are coming into play just as a former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher says the real purpose of the United Nations Climate Change Conference

in Copenhagen on Dec. 7-18 is to use global warming hype as a pretext to lay the foundation for a one-world government.

"At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed," Lord Christopher Monckton told a Minnesota Free Market Institute audience recently at Bethel University in St. Paul.

"Your president will sign it. Most of the Third World countries will sign it, because they think they're going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regimes from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won't sign it," he said.

"I think the dollar is now under question," billionaire investor George Soros told CNBC during the G20 summit in London, noting that Obama agreed with the G20 to utilize the IMF to fund a "one-world currency" dollar alternative for international trade.

Soros, one of presidential candidate Obama's leading financial backers, also has launched a new attack against the dollar by calling on China to stop pegging Chinese currency to the dollar, a move that would cause the dollar to fall in value.

The Soros-run hedge firm Soros Fund Management continues to bet against the dollar in keeping with the hedge firm's reputation for betting against currencies Soros sees as weak.

International investment managers take warnings by Soros seriously, remembering that Soros earned his first $1 billion in 1992 by betting against the British pound.

Legendary hedge fund manager Julian Robertson Jr. joined Soros in warning that the United States' increasing reliance on China to fund trillion dollar Obama administration budget deficits will prolong the painful effects of the current economic recession.

"I think that if the Chinese stop buying our debt, it is virtually the end of the financial world as we know it," Robinson told the Financial Times in London last week. "The conventional thinking is that they will continue buying. But I don't think it's logical to assume somebody will continue to buy paper that declines in value.

"Our dollar is declining in value, and it's been pretty shocking over the last four or five months," he said.

At its height in the late 1990s, Robertson's Tiger Management Fund had a reported $22 billion in assets under management.

Robert Mundell: The Fathers of the 'One World Currency'

WND previously reported that strong support for the idea of a one-world currency has come from Canadian economist and Nobel-prize winner Professor Robert Mundell, an influential Columbia University professor who is considered the "father of the euro."

Mundell, currently an adviser to China, was the originator of the suggestion that the IMF should utilize SDRs to replace the dollar as a new world standard for holding foreign exchange reserves in international trade transactions.

In 1999, Mundell won a Nobel Prize for arguing that nation states like the United States were not "optimum currency areas" for one-country currencies like the dollar, whereas regional markets, such as the European Union, were "optimum currency areas" that would justify creating regional currencies such as the euro.

WND also has reported Benn Steil, a senior fellow and director of International Economics at the Council of Foreign Relations, wrote in the May/June 2007 issue of the Council of Foreign Relations' Foreign Affairs magazine an article entitled, "The End of National Currency," in which his major conclusion was that "countries should abandon monetary nationalism."

'obama Can Thank Himself for Lack of Peace Progress'

Far from promoting peace, as the Nobel Committee would like us all to believe, US President Barack Obama has actually made it increasingly more difficult to achieve a compromise peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians, explained Mark Zell, co-chairman of the Israel chapter of Republicans Abroad, in an interview with Arutz 7 radio.

Zell pointed out that Obama's overriding focus on stopping Jewish construction in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem, and even declaring the Jewish presence there illegitimate, has encouraged more hardline demands and positions from the Palestinian Arabs.

No Israeli leader can ever meet those demands, at least not if he or she wants to remain in office long enough to actually sign a peace deal.

For example, "moderate" Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas is more intractable than ever in his demand that Israel surrender every inch of the areas claimed by the Palestinians, including the entire eastern half of Jerusalem. Abbas has also been emboldened to reject Israel's simple demand that it be recognized as the national home of the Jews, a demand that even Obama has backed.

With Abbas unwilling to budge, and even the most liberal of possible Israeli leaders unable to meet 100 percent of his demands, peace is today more unachievable than ever, despite the picture the White House is trying to paint.
