The Israeli government is studying plans for an international airport in the Jezreel Valley, site of the future Battle of Amageddon

A major political battle is raging over the pending construction of a new international airport in Megiddo in the Jezreel Valley, the site of the future Biblical, Last Days Battle of Armageddon.

The residents of this area say that the airport would bring significant harm to the agricultural land reserves of the Jezreel Valley and it is one of the worst elements of Israeli development policy.

Known as the "Bread Basket of Israel" the Jezreel Valley is not only vital to the agricultural needs of the Jewish state, but opponents to the planned airport say it would destroy the Biblical significance of the area and have a significant impact on tourism in the area as well.

The Israeli government may want to construct an international airport in the Jezreel Valley, but Bible prophecy reveals something quite different for that location in the Last Days.

Since the beginning of the modern day state of Israel, the Jezreel Valley has been a major source for all the food stuffs that Israelis have consumed. The region of the Jezreel Valley has also been a key tourist attraction with Nazareth, home of Jesus Christ, on the edge of the valley and Megiddo, the site of 26 civilizations of the Jewish and Biblical peoples. With this proposal for the construction of an international airport in the valley, Israel's agricultural and tourism industries will be harmed significantly.

This aside, Bible prophecy calls for the Jezreel Valley to be the site of the Battle of Armageddon with the armies of the world gathering in this 1,000 square mile area to fight against the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Revelation 19:11-17 and Zechariah 14:4-5. This army, possibly 100 million soldiers, led by Satan, Antichrist and the False Prophet, will be defeated by Jesus Christ, Revelation 19:17-19. This Battle of Armageddon will bring an end to war, Jesus Christ will setup His eternal Kingdom at the conclusion of this battle.

International airport in the Jezreel Valley or not, Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Netanyahu to Freeze Jewish Construction, Settlers Furious

Israel's largest daily newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, reported on Tuesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have reached an agreement to halt all Jewish construction in Judea, Samaria and the eastern half of Jerusalem in compliance with the demands of US President Barack Obama.

The freeze will last until 2010, and will be presented to the Americans as a gesture of goodwill and a test to see if the Palestinians are willing to live up to finally their peace obligations.

The decision sparked immediate outrage among right-wing Israelis, who said the move was reminiscent of Netanyahu's ideological collapse during his first term as prime minister in 1996. Then, just as during his current term, Netanyahu entered office vowing to never give up Israel's right to the land, and to not make any serious concessions until the Palestinians reciprocated previous concessions.

Months later, Netanyahu was strong-armed by then-US President Bill Clinton into surrendering nearly all of the ancient Judean city of Hebron.

The decision to halt Jewish construction on the eastern side of Jerusalem came as a particular surprise to those who believed Netanyahu was the only candidate that would preserve the capital's unity under Israeli control. Right-wing Israeli leaders said that if Netanyahu continues with the policies of his rival, Kadima leader Tzipi Livni, there will be no reason to keep him in office, and he will find himself facing a no-confidence vote just as he did during his first term.

Apprising Ministries asks if you might remember Anne Holmes Redding, who claims to be both a Muslim and Christian simultaneously, and whom we discussed in An Emerging Christian Muslim Priestess For Allah Says, “Jesus Led Me Into Islam.”

Well, the Global Family takes another step forward; we just couldn’t make this kind of stuff up as, at his website Brian McLaren, unquestionably a leader in the egregiously ecumenical Emerging Church aka Emergent Church—morphing into Emergence Christianity (EC)—tells us in Ramadan 2009: Part 1 What’s going on?:

Ramadan is the Muslim holy month of fasting for spiritual renewal and purification. It commemorates the month during which Muslims believe Mohammed received the Quran through divine revelation, and it calls Muslims to self-control, sacrificial generosity and solidarity with the poor, diligent reading of the Quran, and intensified prayer.

This year, I, along with a few Christian friends (and perhaps others currently unknown to us will want to join in) will be joining Muslim friends in the fast which begins August 21. We are not doing so in order to become Muslims: we are deeply committed Christians. But as Christians, we want to come close to our Muslim neighbors and to share this important part of life with them…

However lovely the sentiment, God has clearly told us not to do what McLaren and the “Christians” committing this violation of Scripture with him are about to do because those in the false religion of Islam:

2 Cor. 6:15 "Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hatg righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

And yet, as we see in Ramadan 2009: Part 2 Why is a committed Christian joining faithful Muslims in observing Ramadan?, McLaren is the type of teacher the supposedly evangelical Rob Bell is allowing in his church. It’s time to wake-up to the fact that these men are developing a whole other quasi-Christian religion based on their synthetic reality skewed by their Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism.
