The more I travel, the more I see that in many countries Christian persecution is worse than ever before."

Statistics bear out this grim assertion: "4,136 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons," noted Open Doors in its World Watch List 2019. "On average, that's 11 Christians killed every day for their faith." Additionally, "2,625 Christians were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced and imprisoned" and "1,266 churches or Christian buildings were attacked."

The report further states that more than 245 million Christians around the world are currently suffering from persecution. In other words, "1 in 9 Christians experience high levels of persecution worldwide."

Typically women fare worse: "In many places, they experience a 'double persecution'-- one for being a Christian and one for being a woman." As for specific numbers: "At least six women every day are raped, sexually harassed or forced into marriage to a Muslim man under the threat of death for their Christian faith..."

In conflict with Satan, whether in our own experience or in the attempt to rescue souls from his accursed thrall, there is no weapon so useful as the Spirit's sword, which is the Word of God. Our blessed Lord parried the devil's attacks by "It is written"; and we shall not improve on his method. The armour of the enemy is impenetrable to all blades save that which has been forged in the celestial fires of the Holy Spirit.

And if you would acquire the habit of intercessory and earnest prayer, so as to be able to watch thereunto, and to persevere, pouring out supplications and entreaties for all saints, you can only do so "in the Spirit." He alone can teach this holy art, or give this eager temper of soul, or perpetuate its practice. Let us earnestly seek it at his hand; for there is nothing that so refines or ennobles, purifies or strengthens the spirit, as this constant breathing out of prayer and breathing in of the fulness of God.

Opinion: Changing the Culture of Washington

No President in recent times has done more to change the culture of Washington than President Donald J. Trump. I believe even his critics would agree. In the process he has been met with tremendous pushback and formidable resistance. There is no question in my mind that the President is fighting for the “Soul” of America. The impeachment proceedings have more to do with a “KulturKampf” than they do with the Ukraine.

Although the Democratic Party has given the President a run for his money, there are many other forces at work including the media that have tried to apply a straightjacket on him. Some call it the “Deep State”. Others call it “the Swamp”. Neither actually does it justice. Neither term actually describes in detail the complex nature of the Great American Democracy. I, for one, am not sure the Founding Father’s realized how complicated the American Republic would become.

The New York Times in a lead article on November 10th declared in a headline, “From Dissent to Rallying Cry in State Department”- “Diplomats lead way in Trump Inquiry”. Obviously, the Times is hinting at the core of the problem.

Essentially, career diplomats run Washington despite who the President might be. The New York Times goes on to say, “Rarely has the State Department often seen as a staid pillar of the establishment, been the center of a revolt against a president and his top appointees.”

Although the head of the State Department is Secretary of State Michael Pompeo appointed by President Trump most of the positions in the State Department were holdovers from previous administrations. Clearly, much of the State Department is autonomous and independent even if Michael Pompeo who follows the lead of the President is their boss. One might think that every administration is entitled to turning over the State Department and appointing anyone they might wish. In theory this actually may be true but in practice it never happens. The sheer enormity of the State Department (75,000 employees) and career diplomatic corps who are fully entrenched makes it nearly impossible. President Trump has to fill 1200 positions that require Senate approval including cabinet secretaries, deputy and assistant secretaries, chief financial officers, general counsel, heads of agencies, ambassadors and many other leadership positions. Even with a Republican majority in the Senate many positions have not been filled.

Like any Big Business it takes years to develop a successful, united and cohesive team. It is precisely why President’s are able to accomplish much more in a second term.

For the State Department’s part it has not been labeled “foggy bottom” without just cause and reason. The State Department was the main reason The American Embassy was never moved to its rightful place in Jerusalem despite bipartisan support. It took President Trump to make it happen.

The State Department has always had “Pan-Arabists”in key positions.

Under the Obama administration many who supported the Muslim Brotherhood held positions in the State Department. It was one of the main reasons President Obama And Secretary of State Clinton supported the “Arab Spring” and the rise of Muslim Brotherhood Leader Mohamed Morsi. The State Department was certainly pushing Morsi. General Abdul Farrah el Sisi who took over was not the favorite of the State Department. El Sisi has been one of the most stabilizing forces in the Middle East. He came to power despite President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton and the State Department. If the State Department had gotten its way, the Middle East would be in much worse shape.

The President has a Herculean task in trying to change a system old, dysfunctional and set in its ways. Changing the culture of Washington is a massive undertaking. If anyone can do it and actually has done it to some degree already, it is President Donald Trump.

If control over body and space is the most visible sign of Islamists, then it stands to stay that hijabs, mega-mosques and emerging political clout are how Islamists mark their territory.

The problem, of course, isn't just about hijabs or mega-mosques, but the entire pattern that involved a web of interconnected problems.

From hijabs and patriarchy, distorted theology stemming from the most extreme interpretations of Islam, to foreign investments in theological structures (mosques), lack of education, gangs and honor violence -- all these factors are connected.

At the end of the day, the Islamist narrative in the West ends up dictating what it means to be a Muslim.

Muslims become a source of pride for some political parties that love the victimization narratives, while for Muslims themselves, these definitions are a source of shame.

Hijabs and Mega-Mosques: Islamists Mark Territory

Yemeni-Swiss political scientist Elham Manea shares, "Wherever Islamists become active, they start by targeting women. The easiest, most visible and most successful means of control, however, is the hijab, the Islamic veil. With this, Islamists are marking their territory."

The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), a foreign-financed Muslim-Brotherhood front (according to the FBI), holds the titles of over 325 properties in 42 states and the deeds for about one-fourth of the mosques in the U.S. While it says it doesn't interfere with the daily management of these mosques, it is "available to support and advise them regarding their operation in conformity with the Shariah."

The Chicago Tribune documented how moderate Muslims witnessed an Islamist transformation of the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, Illinois, for example, that included giving the deed to NAIT.

The government of Turkey built a 15-acre, $100 million mega-mosque in Lanham, Maryland. When Turkey's Prime Minister Erdogan visited the site on May 15, 2013, the state of Maryland was officially represented at the event by its Secretary of State John McDonough. 

The event was also attended by the leaders of two U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities, the president of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the president of Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).

Islamists Mark Territory Through Political Infiltration

The question is, why does the promotion of hijabs as representation of Muslim women or the mushrooming rate of foreign-funded mosques continue to be ignored by the public at large as a risk factor for Islamization?

One reason is the inclusion of Islamist personalities and movements into mainstream politics. In America, we have seen the emergence of two such prominent politicians:

Ilhan Omar -- who is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Turkey's Islamist president, Recep Erdogan (a huge funder of the Muslim Brotherhood, including the group's branch in Gaza, the Hamas terrorist organization)

Rashida Tlaib - whose closest political allies including supporters of the Iranian proxy terror group Hezbollah

In an article with Helene Aecherli, Manea discusses how Sweden was infiltrated by Islamist ideology. It is telling to see how a similar process is taking place in the U.S.:

Social Democrats and Greens in Sweden worked hand in hand with Islamists, believing Islamists to be authentic representations of the community. This paved the way for religious curriculum at schools, gender-segregation, public prayers and so forth despite humanist values like the separation of religion and state.

The same relationship has advanced Islamist causes in the United States. The Supreme Court recently declined to hear a case of a Christian high school student in Maryland who, despite threats of receiving a failing grade, refused to deny her faith by making a written profession of the Muslim conversion prayer known as the shahada. The assignment, given in her public school, was part of a class which unfairly promoted Islam over other religions.

Looking for new voters, socialists in Sweden turned to Islamists, who are the most vocal and best-organized groups in the country. Specifically, the Muslim Brotherhood in Sweden reached out to initiate dialogue, which the socialists and the Green Party jumped on.

In the U.S., we have seen the same phenomena with CAIR and other Muslim-Brotherhood-linked groups. CAIR, specifically touts itself as the largest Muslim "civil rights" group in the U.S.

Social Democrats in Sweden trained members of the Muslim Brotherhood on how to integrate into the political system.

A Swedish-American women's rights leader who spoke to Clarion on the condition of anonymity is extremely worried about what she sees on the ground in her birthplace, Sweden, and how striking those parallels are to what's going on in the United States.

"Social Democrats, the Green Party and the Center party have been infiltrated. They first normalize hijabs and veils by calling people who question these racists.

"At the same time approximately 240,000 young girls live with the honor code. One in nine murders in Sweden in 2018 was an honor killing. The more they say that hijab is purity or being a real Muslim, the more these violent honor codes are carried out. This problem ties into a lack of education.

"The refugees [in Sweden] the last years have 3.6 years on average of education and they come from poor patriarchal clan societies. They are impossible to integrate. Ninety counties are going bankrupt because of this; the refugees can't read or write and they're now living in a highly educated country. Their lack of education makes them unemployable. [This is fueling Sweden's gang problem in migrant communities.]

"And now these communities are insisting on their own Islamic 'free schools' that is costing the Swedish government 40 million dollars in taxpayer money over 20 years.

"One of these schools had a radical imam and six returning ISIS warriors worked there are teachers -- they still work there as teachers. They have not closed it ... [The six were allowed to remain on humanitarian grounds.]

"At another Islamic free school, young girls were threatened and hounded if they didn't wear hijabs. That school the government closed down last week. The owner of that school was arrested but released as he can't be deported to his home country due to U.N. laws.

"They are building a mosque by my mother's house that has invited radical Salafist radical speakers who preach oppression and abuse of women ... I'm writing an op-ed for my local paper, however they will probably be afraid to print it.

"Radical ISIS imams that were arrested in Sweden were just let out of prison because international European Union law says you can't deport them as they can be tortured in their homeland. It is beyond terrifying what's going on.

"There are two mosques in Sweden funded by Qatar and another couple by Saudis. A quarter of all mosques in Sweden are funded by Saudi's Arabia."

Our source adds that out of the biggest 25 mosques in Sweden, 17 are funded by Qatar, or Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran -- noting that these are not locally-raised funds but foreign investments (with foreign control).

'They're very frightening to any civil libertarian'

Liberal Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz says Democrats, after their failed "collusion" investigation, are still trying to "create crimes out of nothing," emulating the KGB in the Soviet era.

"They're very scary. They're very frightening to any civil libertarian. Whether you’re a Democrat or Republican; whether you come from New York or the middle of the country, you should be frightened by efforts to try to create crimes out of nothing, he said in an interview Sunday on John Catsimatidis' "CATS Roundtable" radio show..

Commenting on the House Democrats impeachment investigation based on an alleged quid pro quo with Ukraine, Dershowitz said he has searched the federal criminal statutes "from beginning to end — I couldn’t find the crime."

"It reminds me of Lavrentiy Beria, head of the KGB, said to Stalin, he said, 'Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.' Which he really meant, I’ll make up the crime."

Beria was the head of the Soviet security and secret police organization NKVD, the predecessor to the KGB.

"And so the Democrats are now making up crimes," Dershowitz continued. "First they made up collusion. 'Ahh! Collusion. It’s a crime!' I searched the statute books. There’s no crime of collusion except when businessmen get together to collude against the anti-trust laws, but no crime of collusion with a foreign country.

Beria was the head of the Soviet security and secret police organization NKVD, the predecessor to the KGB.

"And so the Democrats are now making up crimes," Dershowitz continued. "First they made up collusion. 'Ahh! Collusion. It’s a crime!' I searched the statute books. There’s no crime of collusion except when businessmen get together to collude against the anti-trust laws, but no crime of collusion with a foreign country.

He pointed out that Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., has accused him and others who appear on Fox News of being "co-conspirators."

"He’s now threatening people who are commentators, a liberal Democrat like me, who’s a commentator, that we’re in on it, that we’re co-conspirators," Dershowitz said. "It is such a dangerous development to civil liberties."

Dershowitz also criticized CNN for banning him from its airwaves.

"CNN will not allow me on their network because they don’t want a liberal Democrat to be telling their viewers the truth about the Constitution," he said.

'11,000 Scientists' Warning of 'climate Emergency' are Just '11,000 Random People'

'This was a total managed lie. There was no study'

The headline was a real attention-grabber. It said "More than 11,000 scientists declare 'climate emergency.'"

That, at least, was Voice of America's title.

The article said "more than 11,000 scientists are warning that the Earth, in their words, 'clearly and unequivocally faces a climate emergency.'" It's the subject over which teen activist Greta Thunberg recently has been expressing outrage.

But, the report called "World Scientists' Warning of a Climate Emergency," wasn't a study. And they weren't all scientists.

"Our buddies over at Power Line discovered something. Last week (I don’t know if you saw it, there was a story, and it was big out there) 'that 11,000 scientists had issued a report contending that the Earth faces a 'climate emergency.' NBC News … described a 'study' produced by an 'international consortium of more than 11,000 scientists,''" he wrote.

He cited headlines by NBC, CNN, the London Guardian, Al-Jazeera and others.

"'There was no study, there was just a press release," he said. "And it wasn’t 11,000 scientists, it was 11,000 random people who put their names on a web page. This was a total managed lie. There was no study. There were no scientists."

He explained: "People went on a Web page and asked others reading it to put their signature on it. That was then presented as a scientific paper. It’s kind of like these two skeletons that put together Center for Science in the Public Interest that banned coconut oil, MSG. They weren’t scientists. They were just a couple people that didn’t want you to eat what you wanted so they created an icon, got a fax machine, got the media going. It was all made-up stuff."

John Hinderaker at the Powerline Blog wrote: "11,000 scientists? Just kidding."

"The world's news media reported breathlessly that 11,000 scientists had issued a report contending that the Earth faces a 'climate emergency.' NBC News, to cite just one example, described a 'study' produced by an 'international consortium of more than 11,000 scientists.'"

The blog posted a screen shot of headlines by NBC, CNN and others.

"Actually, there was no study, there was just a press release. And it wasn't 11,000 scientists, it was 11,000 random people who put their names on a web page. But today's reporters are so biased and so incompetent that when it comes to 'climate change,' they will swallow anything," Powerline reported.
