The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas plans to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel

A spokesman for Hamas, the Palestinian terror group, said that the Jihadist movement is loyal to Palestinian principles in its policy of terrorism against the Jews until Israel ceases to exist and said that any offer by the PA President Mahmoud Abbas to establish a Palestinian state, even with temporary borers, is rejected by Hamas.

Osama Hamdan, the Hamas spokesman, said the Hamas plan is based on obtaining a Palestinian state by force of arms, not by way of a grievance, a path which has failed and that Hamas will fight to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel altogether.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by Hamas, the Palestinian terror group, that they plan to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel, is a page out of Bible prophecy.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been the focus of world leaders over the last several decades as they have worked to bring about a resolution to this conflict. However, the truth be known, as revealed in the recent Hamas declaration, the elimination of the Jewish state of Israel is a Palestinian principle. Both Bible history and prophecy confirm this Palestinian principle. In the book of Genesis, we have the record of the birth of Jacob and Esau, Genesis 25:23-26.

In Genesis 27, the account of Jacob stealing the birthright and blessing from Esau reveals that Esau then made a pledge to kill Jacob. History down through 4000 years has revealed to us the conflict continues even until today with Jacob, the Jewish people of today, and Esau, the Palestinian people of today, still in that conflict of 4000 years. Bible prophecy foretold of this conflict during the end times. Ezekiel, the ancient Jewish prophet, wrote that the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, the Palestinian people today, would want to kill the Jews, the descendants of Jacob, and then take the land that God had given to them, Ezekiel 35.

The Hamas plan to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel is indeed a page out of Bible prophecy, Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.

Hamas: Terrorism to Eliminate Israel is a 'principle'

In an interview published Thursday in the London-based Arabic newspaper Al-Hayat, a Hamas spokesman said that the jihadist movement is loyal to "Palestinian principles" in its policy of terrorism against the Jews until Israel ceases to exist.

Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas claimed earlier this month that Hamas had agreed to the establishment of a Palestinian state within temporary borders. Osama Hamdan, a Hamas spokesman in Lebanon and close associate of powerful Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal, rejected the idea, however.

Hamas, Hamdan explained, has never agreed and will never agree to any recognition of Israel's legitimacy as a sovereign state. An agreement to temporary borders contradicts this position, as it would constitute acceptance of Jewish sovereignty over the pre-1967 borders of Israel, he added.

The Hamas plan is based on obtaining a Palestinian state by force of arms, Hamdan said, "not by way of agreements, a path that has failed." In fact, the Hamas spokesman told Al-Hayat that negotiations between his movement and Abbas' Fatah group reached an impasse over acceptance of the Quartet's call for an end to Arab "resistance" operations; i.e., terrorism. The Quartet - the European Union, the United States, the United Nations and Russia - is involved in pushing for negotiations between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

Hamdan emphasized further that, in fact, it is Hamas that is remaining loyal to "basic Palestinian principles" in fighting against any agreements with Israel.

Meanwhile, President Shimon Peres and Defense Minister Ehud Barak are formulating a new peace plan that calls for a demilitarized, temporary Palestinian state in half of Judea and Samaria. While the PA has not accepted the plan, Hamdan claimed that PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad supports the idea of a temporary state. Fayyad, claimed Hamdan, has prepared a plan to declare a Palestinian state in 2011.

Saeb Erekat, a leading Palestinian Authority spokesman, said that the PA will not unilaterally declare independence. Rather, it will ask the United Nations Security Council to recognize the principle of "two states for two peoples" and affirm the right of the PA to sovereignty in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

Decision Time Looms for EU Top Jobs

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS – After weeks of speculation and recriminations over a lack of transparency, EU leaders will meet in Brussels on Thursday evening (19 November) to decide who will take up the new posts created under the Lisbon Treaty.

A new permanent president of the European Council and a beefed-up high representative for foreign affairs are designed to increase the EU's visibility on the world stage and help co-ordinate its work back home.

But after the jubilation that greeted the Irish Yes result in a second referendum and Czech President Vaclav Klaus' eventual signing of the treaty, the recent backroom dealing has both been very difficult and left the EU open to criticism about the lack of democracy in its decision-making process.

The successful compromise candidates looks set to win out as a result of their inoffensive positions, political family, and geographic origins, rather than as a direct result of their merits.

Accusations of a Franco-German stitch-up, gender imbalance, and concerns about one candidate's support for the Iraq war have all surfaced during the past weeks, sending the Swedish EU presidency into overdrive as it scrambles to find consensus personalities.

The country's prime minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, admits his two rounds of telephone discussions with EU leaders have not produced clear names ahead of Thursday's meeting, leaving open the possibility of a drawn out summit or an eventual vote by qualified majority

"I need, of course, the collaboration of my colleagues to try to get this through ... It might take a few hours. It might take all night," said Mr Reinfeldt on Wednesday.

The Swedes have reportedly taken the precaution of ordering Friday morning breakfast in the council for the EU leaders.

Transparency

Despite an eastern European push for greater transparency, including Polish calls for candidate presentations, few former or current EU leaders have been willing to formally declare their candidacies for the post of council president.

While former UK prime minister Tony Blair was one of the first names to circulate in the pages of the European press, current Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy has emerged as the frontrunner.

Fresh news broke on Thursday that confirmed the existence of a Franco-German alliance behind Mr Van Rompuy, with German ambassador to Belgium, Reinhard Bettzuege, admitting to the De Morgen daily newspaper that Chancellor Angela Merkel was backing the Belgian leader.

Other names frequently mentioned include Luxembourg leader Jean-Claude Juncker and his Dutch counterpart Jan-Peter Balkenende while many of Europe's women would like to see a woman take the post.

In a show of protest against the over-representation of men in senior EU posts, 20 MEPs dressed in suits and ties protested in front of the EU legislature on Wednesday.

The floor also remains largely open for the potentially more powerful position of high representative for foreign affairs, with EU pundits increasingly wondering how the future holder will manage the busy schedule of the multi-faceted job.

UK foreign minister David Miliband has apparently ruled himself out for the job that is expected to go to a centre-left candidate, with Italy's Massimo D'Alema another contender.

But the lack of consensus over either of the posts means a dark horse may yet steal the show.

"Amongst the disagreement, I'm hoping my name may yet emerge as a compromise," official candidate for the president job, and former EU ambassador to the US, John Bruton told EUobserver on Wednesday.
