Russia Set to Pass Strict Anti - Gay Law That Could See Foreigners Deported for ‘Sexual Propaganda’

Russia’s parliament will debate a controversial law on Tuesday that could see people arrested for behaviour that is deemed to promote homosexuality.

The bill provides for Russian citizens engaged in the “propaganda of non-traditional sexual orientation” to be fined, while foreigners could be arrested and immediately deported.

If the Duma passes the law in its key second reading, it could come into force by the end of the month.

A number of regions have already adopted a similar law, and now MPs from President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party want to implement a nationwide ban on “gay propaganda”.

The law defines the rather nebulous concept as “spreading information aimed at forming non- traditional sexual behaviour among children, suggesting this behaviour is attractive, and making a false statement about the socially equal nature of traditional and non-traditional relationships”.

A robotic bird created in conjunction with U.S. Army could be developed into an unsuspecting future war agent.

The Robo-Raven’s manoeuvres are so realistic that other birds are fooled into thinking it is one of them.

Its ability to hide in plain sight and light weight could prove valuable in military operations, claim Army Research Laboratory researchers. It weighs just 9.7 grams and has a wingspan of 34.3 cm

‘It already attracts attention from birds in the area which tends to hide its presence,’ said John Gerdes, a mechanical engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Seagulls, songbirds and sometimes crows tend to try to fly in a formation near the bird during testing, but birds of prey, like falcons and hawks take a much more aggressive approach.

‘Generally we don’t see them coming,’ Gerdes said. ‘They will dive and attack by hitting the bird from above with their talons, then they typically fly away.’

Scientists at the University of Maryland made Robo-Raven out of carbon fibre, thermal-resistant plastic, Mylar foil and foam.

It has the unique ability to flap its wings completely independently of each other, enabling the bird to perform extreme aerobatic manoeuvres.

Using two actuators for the wings required a bigger battery and an on-board micro controller, which initially made Robo-Raven too heavy to fly.

To reduce the weight, engineers turned to advanced manufacturing processes such as 3D printing and laser cutting.

The system now weighs just 9.7 grams and has a wing span of 34.3cm. It can carry a payload of almost six grams.

Rewriting History - Evangelicals Present the Palestinian Jesus

Did you know Jesus was a Palestinian? Neither did he. That hasn’t stopped the enemies of the Christians’ Prince of Peace from attempting to use him for diabolical political purposes.

What began as a clever propaganda ploy by Yasser Arafat—as part of his lifelong attempt to erase Jewish history—has been picked up by American evangelicals.

That Jesus of Nazareth was born and lived as a Jew is an obvious historical fact, just as, for example, Robert E. Lee commanding the Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War.

The background of Jesus Christ, however, inarguably the most famous person in history, is of great importance. His life as a Jew is increasingly being called into question by Muslims, who are working overtime to open “interfaith dialogue” channels with American Christian leaders.

The revisionists originally were the usual suspects: Arafat, mainline church scholars, media types. But now this revisionist history has burrowed-into the American evangelical community.

Incredibly.

In February, 2000, popular author Philip Yancey referred to Jesus as a “Palestinian rabbi” in the pages of Christianity Today.

Ed Stetzer, president of research at LifeWay—the resource arm of the Southern Baptist Convention—referred to Jesus as a “Palestinian Jew” in a September 12, 2011 blog post entitled “Monday is for Missiology: Some Thoughts on Contextualization.”

In a banner above his May 9, 2012 blog post, “Solidarity Fast With Palestinians?” Assemblies of God minister and Palmer Theological Seminary Professor Paul Alexander referred to Jesus as “the Palestinian Jew.” Alexander, professor of Christian Ethics and Public Policy at Palmer (the seminary of Eastern University) has long advocated for the Palestinians.

Knowingly or unknowingly, some evangelical leaders are advancing a false narrative concocted by the likes of Arafat and the PLO.

According to Palestinian Media Watch:

“Rewriting the history of the Land of Israel in order to deny Israel’s right to exist is central to Palestinian Authority (PA) policy. Long before it started the PA terror campaign the PA was fighting a history war – erasing Jewish history and replacing it with a fabricated Palestinian history.

“Erasing Jewish history in the land of Israel is followed by the PA’s invention of ancient and modern histories that support its political ideology and claim to the land of Israel. The Holocaust and other aspects of Jewish history are alternately denied, downplayed or distorted.

Another distortion is to hide from Palestinians that Jesus was a Jew who lived in the Land of Judea/Israel. PA leaders repeatedly define Jesus as a Palestinian who preached Islam, thus denying not only Jewish history, but also the history and legitimacy of Christianity.”

In an op-ed for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, dated May 6, 2013, writer Adel Abd Al-Rahman stated:

“Easter… is not a holiday for Christian Palestinians only but a holiday for Palestinian nationalism, because Jesus, may he rest in peace, is a Canaanite Palestinian. His resurrection, three days after being crucified and killed by the Jews – as reported in the New Testament – reflects the Palestinian narrative, which struggles against the descendants of modern Zionist Judaism, in its new colonialist form, that conspires with the Western capitalists who claim to belong to Christianity.

“Jesus, may he rest in peace, the virtuous patriotic Palestinian forefather, who renewed the Old Testament, split away from its followers, brought forth his New Testament and spread it among mankind – which led the Jews to persecute him until they caught him, crucified him and murdered him. Afterwards, he rose from the dead like the phoenix and set out to spread his teachings that still exist and will exist as long as mankind exists.

“Jesus’ story is his [Palestinian] people’s story; the Zionist movement – tool of the capitalist West – wanted to falsify historical facts, to exile and crucify the Palestinian Arab nation and then murder it by means of ethnic cleansing… But the Palestinians, Jesus’ descendants, rose from the ashes, like the phoenix, from the ruins of the Nakba (i.e., ‘the catastrophe,’ the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) and the Naksa (i.e., ‘the setback,’ Palestinian term for Israel’s victory in the Six Day War.) They dressed their wounds and raised the flag of nationality again by founding parties and factions…

“Easter is a distinct Palestinian national holiday which doesn’t concern only Christians but rather all Palestinians believing in the different religions – Islam, Christianity and Judaism.”

Though the above narrative is false, “Jesus as Palestinian” is gaining traction within American Evangelicalism. Mark Tooley of the Institute on Religion and Democracy, has seen it before:

“Claims that Jesus was ‘Palestinian’ are common in anti-Israel circles but are not rooted in history. The area where Jesus lived was not named by the Romans as Palestine until the second century. Jesus was born and lived on earth as a Jew. He would not have known His land as ‘Palestine.’ Evangelicals should shun this effort to delegitimize the millennia-long Jewish history with the land called Israel.”

Some do not and in a December 22, 2011 article for Relevant magazine, Wheaton College student Andrew Haas revealed just how far classic PLO propaganda has infiltrated evangelicalism:

“Had Jesus been born in Bethlehem today, the nativity scenes that adorn the numerous American church and parish lawns would look quite different if genuinely politically correct. Mary and Joseph, probably too poor to pay local taxes on a vehicle, would be forced to ride Palestinian local transit.

The bus would drop them off outside the West Bank at an Israeli checkpoint. From there they’d walk through a maze of turnstiles and security posts into Bethlehem. If their identity card read ‘Israeli citizen,’ there is some question whether the expectant couple would even be allowed into the sleepy hamlet based on current law. Replace the donkeys, sheep and mules with taxis, buses and heavily armed checkpoints.”

Haas went on to write:

“If God’s son had been born into the sleepy hamlet today, He’d be without citizenship. Palestine is still a territory, not a country. Considered to be a security threat from birth, He’d receive his green Palestinian ID at the age of 16. Without authorization granted only by the Israeli government, He would be prohibited from crossing the wall into Jerusalem only 15 minutes away.

Permits are difficult to acquire, and often only last one to five months. His inability to travel past a wall four times the height of Shaquille O’Neal would prove a slight obstacle for a Gospel destined for the world.

“Inside Bethlehem, Jesus and His parents could still practice carpentry. Many men work in factories producing lovely carvings from the treasured olive tree. Yet, His olivewood carvings would collect dust in shops that tourists are often too afraid to enter.”

This attempt to compare the gospels with Palestinian liberation theology used to exist only in liberal seminaries. Now it is becoming mainstream within evangelicalism.

British writer Paul Wilkinson is also very familiar with this type of anti-Israel agenda:

“The portrayal of the Lord Jesus Christ as a Palestinian refugee who lived under military occupation has, in recent years, been used as a powerful propaganda weapon against Israel by an increasing number of pro-Palestinian Evangelicals.

This blasphemous depiction of Jesus ominously echoes what Palestinian authors, clerics, and political leaders have been saying publicly of late in a brazen attempt to claim Christ as one of their own.

By propagating their Islamicized version of ‘replacement theology’ (now rebranded ‘fulfillment theology’ or ‘messianic fulfillment’ by leading pro-Palestinian Evangelicals such as Stephen Sizer and Gary Burge), Islamic scholars have endeared themselves to many in the Church who have cast off the restraint of God’s Word and God’s Spirit.

The forging of unholy Evangelical-Muslim alliances in the name of ‘dialogue’ and ‘bridge-building’ is reminiscent of the unholy alliance which suddenly developed between Herod and Pilate during the trial of Jesus – they were sworn enemies who united against a common enemy; today the common enemy is Israel.

Like the false prophets of old who prophesied lies in God’s Name, pro-Palestinian Evangelicals, or ‘Christian Palestinianists’ as we might call them, are running with a message they believe is from God, but God has not sent them, for they have not stood in His council (Jeremiah 23:9-32).”

Vida Valesco, who serves as Central Region High School Program Coordinator for StandWithUs, also battles historical revisionism, and she has a ready answer:

“It is so clear all over the Word that God has a special place in His heart for His people the Jews. We should be grateful to the Jewish people for the Messiah, who is from House of David. He lived a Jewish life, a rabbi here on earth. All the disciples were Jewish!”

NSA Phone Records

South of Utah’s Great Salt Lake, the National Security Agency (NSA), a United States foreign intelligence service, keeps watch over one of its most expensive secrets. Here, on 100,000 square meters (1,100,000 square feet) near the US military’s Camp Williams, the NSA is constructing enormous buildings to house superfast computers. All together, the project will cost around $2 billion (€1.5 billion) and the computers will be capable of storing a gigantic volume of data, at least 5 billion gigabytes. The energy needed to power the cooling system for the servers alone will cost $40 million a year.

Former NSA employees Thomas Drake and Bill Binney told SPIEGEL in March that the facility would soon store personal data on people from all over the world and keep it for decades. This includes emails, Skype conversations, Google searches, YouTube videos, Facebook posts, bank transfers — electronic data of every kind.

“They have everything about you in Utah,” Drake says. “Who decides whether they look at that data? Who decides what they do with it?” Binney, a mathematician who was previously an influential analyst at the NSA, calculates that the servers are large enough to store the entirety of humanity’s electronic communications for the next 100 years — and that, of course, gives his former colleagues plenty of opportunity to read along and listen in.

James Clapper, the country’s director of national intelligence, has confirmed the existence of a large-scale surveillance program. President Barack Obama further explained that Congress authorized the program — but that American citizens are exempt from it.

A top-secret document published last week by the Washington Post and Britain’s Guardian shows where the NSA may be getting the majority of its data. According to the document, which was allegedly leaked by former CIA employee Edward Snowden, the intelligence agency began seeking out direct access to servers belonging to American Internet companies on a wide scale in 2007. The first of these companies to come onboard was Microsoft. Yahoo followed half a year later, then Google, Facebook, PalTalk, YouTube, Skype and AOL. The most recent company to declare its willingness to cooperate was Apple, in October 2012, according to the secret government document, which proudly states that this access to data is achieved “directly from the servers” of the companies.

NSA Whistleblower: the Feds Can Make Anyone Look Suspicious

A common reaction to the news that the National Security Agency (NSA) is collecting most if not all of the electronic communications of American citizens: As long as if I’m not doing anything illegal, what’s the big deal?

Whistleblower Edward Snowden, 29-year old employee of Booz Allen, provided an answer to that question during his interview with Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald (emphasis ours):

“It’s getting to the point where you don’t have to have done anything wrong. You simply have to eventually fall under suspicion from somebody — even by a wrong call — and then they can use this system to go back in time and scrutinize every decision decision you’ve even made, ever friend you’ve discussed something with, and attack you on that basis to sort of derive suspicion from an innocent life and paint anyone in the context of a wrongdoer.”

Some people (including BI’s Henry Blodget) are skeptical about Snowden’s stunning claims, but it should be noted that the alleged ability of the NSA to collect Internet traffic and crunch it to profile any American has been corroborated by several other reporters and whistleblowers.

The operator of Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant on Wednesday admitted it had found another leak of radioactive water, the latest episode in a growing catalogue of mishaps.

Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) said one of its workers spotted drips coming from a tank used to store radioactive water at the site on Japan’s tsunami-wrecked coast.

Water was leaking at the rate of one drop every three or four seconds, the company said, adding that absorbent material had been placed under the leak and workers were trying to stem the flow.

An increasing volume of water made radioactive after being used to cool the melted cores of broken reactors has become a growing headache for TEPCO, which has hundreds of tanks on the site.

"I see no peace on the horizon. We know the truth,” said Economic Minister and Bayit Yehudi head, weighing in on the public feud between Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon.

"The entire Middle East is falling apart before our eyes, and none of [the forces at play] is registering to the Zionist Federation,” he said acerbically.

Livni said Monday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has to make a decision in the diplomatic sphere, and that he must put an end to the phenomenon she termed “Danonism.” The term refers to Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon, who has spoken out against the idea of a Palestinian state.

“Look at the government: there was never a government discussion, resolution or vote about the two-state solution,” Danon had said. “If you will bring it to a vote in the government — nobody will bring it to a vote, it’s not smart to do it — but if you bring it to a vote, you will see the majority of Likud ministers, along with the Jewish Home [party], will be against it.”

A fierce battle last week between the Syrian army and rebels over the city of Quneitra, near the Israeli border on the Syrian Golan Heights, nearly brought Israel and Syria into open confrontation, according to a UN document leaked on Saturday by US-based blogger Nabil Abi Saab.

During the battle over Quneitra on Thursday, June 6, the Syrian army moved five tanks and five armored personnel carriers into the demilitarized zone separating Syria and Israel, in an effort to remove rebel forces that had taken over the Syrian-Israel border crossing, according to the document, dated the same day and presented to the UN Security Council by Herve Ladsous, UN under secretary general for peacekeeping operations.

In response, the IDF told UNDOF peacekeeping forces that they would “take action” should the tank movement continue, a message that UNDOF relayed to the Syrian army. The Syrian army, in turn, said that “the presence of the tanks was solely for the purpose of fighting the armed members of the opposition and asked that the IDF not take action.”

The Israeli army decided not to intervene, and the Syrians used their armor to drive the rebels from Quneitra, and then, according to Ladsous, left “four main battle tanks and three armored personnel carriers… in the area of separation, in violation of the Disengagement Agreement.”

The incident was described in Hebrew media reports as the closest the two countries have come to open conflict in the 40 years since the ceasefire agreement was signed in the wake of the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

The battle over Quneitra, which saw the Syrian rebels briefly take over the border crossing, resulted in an Austrian decision to withdraw its soldiers from the UN peacekeeping forces monitoring the Israeli-Syrian demilitarized zone, citing safety concerns.

During the fighting, Israel sheltered a group of civilians caught in the conflict before releasing them back into Syrian territory. According to the UN document, the IDF also “provided emergency medical treatment to a total of 16 armed members of the opposition,” who were then returned to Syria.

Israel's Existence Disproves Christian Replacement Theology

In an article published in a local Israeli newspaper around the time of Israel's 65th Independence Day, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Har-Noy puzzled over the fact that there are still so many Bible-believing Jews who refuse to celebrate the Jewish state's modern rebirth.

"Perhaps these dear Jews missed the words of Rabbi Yosef Dov Soloveitchik in his wonderful speech 'Kol Dodi Dofek' (The Voice of My Beloved Knocks)," mused Har-Noy.

Soloveitchik, a Boston-based rabbinical leader and one of the msot renowned of modern Jewish philosophers, delivered a powerful public address in 1956 on the occasion of Israel's eighth Independence Day. In it, Soloveitchik argued that "all the claims of Christian theologians that God deprived the Jewish people of its rights in the land of Israel, and that all the biblical promises regarding Zion and Jerusalem refer, in an allegorical sense, to Christianity and the Christian Church, have been publicly refuted by the establishment of the State of Israel and have been exposed as falsehoods, lacking all validity."

Har-Noy noted that for centuries the Christian Church used the fact that the Jewish people had been deprived of their nation and could find no rest in their exile as evidence that God had made Christians the new "Chosen People."

"Then came the Holocaust and the torturous destruction of a third of our people. For the Christians this was incontrovertible evidence that the previous Chosen People would never rise again," the rabbi continued. "And then the State of Israel was established!"

For this reason, Har-Noy asserted, the rebirth of Israel was as much a deep spiritual event as it was the establishment of a safe harbor for Jews. "Independence Day is first and foremost a celebration of the rise of the Jewish people from the dust, as the verse says: 'Rise from the dust, dress in your garments of splendor, my people,'" the rabbi said, referencing the Lekhah Dodi (Come My Beloved), a liturgical song that is part of the Jewish service welcoming the weekly Sabbath.

With all that it means, how can there be Jews who will recite prayers and scriptures, but not mark the modern holy day that is Israel's prophesied rebirth? "Certainly there is much left to do and much to improve, and that is our mission," concluded the rabbi. "We must take what the previous generations have imparted to us and improve this wonderful gift called the State of Israel."

Is the Bible God's Word?

There are 333 prophecies in the Old Testament concerning the first coming of Christ.   All fulfilled in exacting detail. These perfectly fulfilled Messianic prophecies prove beyond any possibility of doubt that God is the Sovereign Lord of the Universe, who knows the end from the beginning and that the Bible is His infallible Word. Fulfilled prophecy is found in the Bible and in the Bible alone.

Faith in Christ is not a leap in the dark. It is not mysticism or superstition. It is faith in the proven facts God has given us.

God reveals Himself and proves Himself and then says trust me and obey me and I will bless you.

The object of our trust is to be Jesus Christ who has come into the world to reveal Himself to us.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Romans 3:20-26).

How will You Handle Hard Times Ahead?

It’s time to prepare for hard times, my friends. And, if you’re a bible-believing, Christ-following Christian, I believe the coming years will be particularly troublesome. I say “bible-believing, Christ-following Christian” because our degenerating culture has all but stripped the biblical definition of the word “Christian” from today’s collective conscience so that it has lost much of it’s scriptural meaning, even among many of today’s attending church members.

The enemies of Christ have clearly risen to great power in this country and are, even as I write, busy endeavoring to finish off what remains of the church for the purpose of replacing it with a god and religion more suitable for global government. Though they may well in time take possession of the many debt-heavy mega churches and other grand houses of worship around the country in order to turn them into federally-subsidized community centers for faith-based social services, they won’t be successful at completely silencing or eliminating the true body of Christ who will likely be forced to abandon them in order to keep hearing and proclaiming God’s Word uncensored. Unless the Lord Himself intervenes to alter the current course of events, those now in power will most certainly rule over us for a season–and an arduous one at that.

Considering all the unbiblical as well as unconstitutional legislation, it’s looking more and more like faithful Christians could soon be viewed as enemies of the state for no other reason than having believed, proclaimed, and obeyed the Word of God. Not only is the church being attacked from without, it is also being undermined from within by charlatans who would transform it into something more spiritually pliable, socially useful and dialectically accommodating.

I believe Christians will again and again be called upon to choose whom we will serve in the coming days in ways that will bring more persecution and suffering than we are accustomed to, requiring a spiritual farsightedness and desire for the eternal things of God over the temporal rewards of this world.

We need to be ready. We need to be willing. And we need to be empowered, not by the mere passion of patriotic zeal, but by the Holy Spirit of God and His Word. It is not we against them – it is an angry and rebellious world against God, and we would do well to remember that when the devil comes knocking at our door demanding more tolerance, diversity and unity.

Vengeance is not ours – that belongs to the Lord, as He clearly states in His Word. Those who live by the sword will surely die by it – again, not my words – His.

When our Constitution and Bill of Rights are completely discarded for the New World Order, there will be no going back to the way things were. There will only be the Word of God to edify, encourage, inspire, and sustain us through the hard times ahead. Those who understand and appreciate the power of that Word know very well what I’m talking about. Those who don’t will ignore it at their own peril because to them, it is foolishness.

Best we get into His Word now more earnestly and take it to heart in preparation for a time when bibles are no longer allowed or even legal, than get caught spiritually ignorant and scripturally unarmed when temptation and tribulation come.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov warned that Syria will be "destroyed" if the Geneva international conference sponsored by the US and Russia fails to resolve the two-year-old crisis between President Bashar Assad and rebels. The conference was supposed to take place in May. It was postponed when the two sponsors failed to agree on representatives to be invited. It is now expected to be held next month. Turning up the heat on Washington, Bogdanov said Tuesday: “If the Geneva conference fails, nothing but one scenario will remain: war and Syria’s complete destruction.” He spoke in a joint interview with the Lebanese An-Nahar and Kuwaiti Al-Anba. Bogdanov is the Russian official who last month relayed Moscow’s blessing to Hizballah’s entry to the Syrian war on the side of the Assad regime..

In a new neighborhood of a Jerusalem suburb a new project is rising, whose organizers hope will encourage more American Jews to make aliyah. Speaking to Arutz Sheva during an Israel housing fair in New York, Asher Stoller of Nofei Israel said that the project was the perfect one for new American immigrants to Israel, as well as olim who yearn for the social comforts of their former American lifestyle.

“Many Americans find it hard to adjust to life in Israel,” said Stoller – and not necessarily financially, either. “Some make aliyah, staying for a few years and moving back,” because of the difficulty of being separated from people with their own cultural background, or because their children could not fit in at school.

Enter Nofei Israel, an “engineered community” that is planned down to the last detail to enhance the aliyah experience for American Jews who decide to make it their home. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and parks, Nofei Israel caters to religious families who are looking for high quality of life amidst all of the necessary community facilities and amenities. Modern commercial and recreational areas will further serve to create a rich living experience.

Designed by Israel’s top architects, individual apartments within the development have potential for every conceivable comfort – from swimming pools to private decks and beyond. Nofei Israel, a company that has acquired an esteemed reputation in the Israeli real estate market, offers buyers five different design options. Alternately, buyers may choose to build their own homes to their unique specifications.

“Nofei Israel will ensure maximum absorption for American Jews making aliyah,” said Stoller. “It's an opportunity for anyone who wants to make aliyah to do in in a way that is the most comfortable possible.”

Marketing of the first 400 units is now underway, with 150 lots currently being marketed as self-constructing. An additional 250 luxury apartments will be added to establish the orthodox community, as well as the necessary shuls, schools and mikvahs. So far 80 lots have already been sold.

'Tyranny' Just Around the Corner

I guess Barack Obama wasn’t kidding when he spoke to the graduating class of Ohio State University May 5, just over a months ago.

Many didn’t notice the ominous remark he made in that speech.

That was, of course, just before the nation learned that his administration’s Internal Revenue Service had been selectively harassing organizations and individuals based on their political leanings

That was, of course, before the nation learned that his administration’s Justice Department had been monitoring the phone records of news organizations including the Associated Press and Fox News.

That was, of course, before the nation learned that his administration had been creating a system of eavesdropping on the communications of all Americans that would make George Orwell blush.

And that was, of course, before his administration went into full-tilt stonewalling mode on a jamboree of scandals that have all of our heads spinning.

What did Barack Obama say on May 5?

He warned about listening to voices of dissent warning “that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner.”

He added, “You should reject those voices.”

Obviously, you should never reject those voices. Those are the voices of reason – and Obama is the one ushering in tyranny, which we now know is not lurking around the corner; it’s here.

Was that what he was trying to tell us?

Let me remind you of some of the voices Obama would like you to reject:

  • “The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all.” – Thomas Jefferson
  • “The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position.” – George Washington
  • “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” – James Madison

Do I need to continue with dozens of other quotes from our founders?

Are those the voices we should reject?

Apparently, Barack Obama thinks we should.

Worse yet, Obama is attempting to stifle those voices using all the legitimate and illegitimate power of the federal government in a systematic pattern of eavesdropping and intimidation – from the abuse of the IRS to the targeting of the press to creation of a surveillance state.

That’s why tyranny is here – and even some very unlikely candidates are noticing it, from the New York Times to Al Gore to the American Civil Liberties Union.

Obama’s goal is stomping out all opposition. That’s his end game – and he has been and continues to use every component of the federal government to achieve it.

What Obama most fears is that people will recognize his objectives – and they are beginning to do just that.

When he tells you to “reject those voices,” he’s like the Wizard of Oz telling Dorothy not to pay attention to the man behind the curtain. He doesn’t want his constituency to see reality. He doesn’t want you to recognize that tyranny is indeed lurking around the corner – or even closer than that. He especially doesn’t want to people to recognize that he is the face of that tyranny.
