Temple Mount Faithful 2010 Pesach March to the Temple Mount

Temple Mount Faithful 2010 Pesach March to the Temple Mount Carried the Answer of the God and People of Israel to the Hostile Pressure From Obama, the Nations and the Enemies of Israel not to Build the Temple, Jerusalem and the Land of Israel:

"Then I answered them, and said to them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but you have no portion, or right, or memorial, in Jerusalem." (Nehemiah 2:20)

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement held an exciting biblical event during the Festival of Passover, April 1, 2010, that has not taken place in biblical Jerusalem or the Temple Mount since the destruction of the second Temple and Israelite Kingdom in Jerusalem by the Romans in the year 70 ce.

The Faithful Movement has held this Passover pilgrimage every year since the liberation of the Temple Mount by Israel in 1967. However, this year's pilgrimage was most unique because the pilgrims carried inside their pockets the "Omer" offering, which is one portion of freshly harvested wheat, and in this way they delivered it up to the Temple Mount. After 1,940 years of destruction, the Temple Mount location of the first, second and eventually the third Temple, and the place from where the Shekinah of God has never departed and for two millennia has expected the children of G‑d to bring their "Omer" offerings, has once again welcomed her children with their "Omer" offerings as in biblical times.

What was also special about this pilgrimage was the fact that the Faithful Movement marched to the Holy Temple Mount during a very critical time in the history of Israel and the entire world. This was a time when hostile pressure was, and still is, coming upon Israel from every direction of the world, mainly from the President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama. President Obama has allusions that he is the only leader of the world instead of God Almighty and he promotes an anti-Israel and pro-Arab/Islamic policy. From the holy capital of the God and people of Israel, we advised President Obama to read the Holy Book of the God of Israel so that he will know that there is one leader of the entire world and all of mankind — the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He will not allow anyone to challenge or to put an aggressive hand upon His people Israel and the Land that He gave 'only' to His chosen people for His purpose, the land that God will never allow to be divided.

The pressure against the people and the land of God is very heavy and comes to force Israel to make Jerusalem, which is the eternal capital of the God and people of Israel, a so-called "Palestinian" capital, to divide the land of the God and people of Israel given by God 'only' to Israel in an eternal covenant, and to establish a foreign so-called "Palestinian" state that never existed in the Holy Land of Israel nor any other place in the world. The Faithful marchers called-out to President Obama, the EU, the UN and all the enemies of Israel: "Take your hands off Jerusalem, the Holy Temple Mount and the Holy Land of the God and people of Israel!" As we marched from Jaffa Gate of the biblical Jerusalem to the Holy Mountain of God, the God of Israel strongly warned all of them through His Faithful marchers and expects them to heed the powerful admonition:

"For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will enter into judgment with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and have divided up my land. And the Lord roars out of Zion, and utters his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shake; but the Lord will be a shelter for his people and a stronghold for the children of Israel. So shall you know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and no strangers shall pass through her any more." (Joel 4:1-2, 16-17 / Christian Bible: Joel 3.1-2, 16-17)

The "Omer" offering that the Faithful members cut from the fields of Judea and Samaria and carried to the Temple Mount, just as in Temple times, symbolized the unity of the two areas of the biblical heartland of Israel around Jerusalem and the Temple Mount which will never be divided. It is so evil and anti-godly that in these biblical areas the nations want to form their foreign "Palestinian" terror-state. Their ultimate goal is to destroy and eliminate Israel from the map of the world.

It was really an exciting march and pilgrimage event. Among the walls of biblical Jerusalem and the Holy Temple Mount of the God and people of Israel, we deeply felt the renewed godly connection between the Holy Land of our forefathers and the biblical prophetic reality of the exciting end-times that Israel is now experiencing. The Word of the God of Israel to Moses has once again become a reality in Jerusalem through the Faithful Movement of God. It was as if we could hear the God of Israel speaking to Moses and to all the people of Israel and His voice was heard from His Holy Mountain in Jerusalem:

"And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the people of Israel, and say to them, "When you come to the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest; And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you; on the next day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it." (Leviticus 23:9-11)

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement is permanently busy with the campaign and preparations for the rebuilding of the Temple of God on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Two marble cornerstones for the Third Temple, each one weighing six and a half tons are ready. We have started efforts to prepare the remaining stones for the Third Temple. As we marched during Passover to the Temple Mount along the streets of Jerusalem, we shared this exciting message with Israel and the entire world. It was especially important at a time when additional pressure on Israel comes from the President of the United States to immediately stop building in Jerusalem. Our answer to this anti-godly pressure was given during this godly event to President Obama, to his followers all over the world and to the enemies of Israel:

"The God and people of Israel will continue to build Jerusalem and in the midst of it will rebuild the Temple of God on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. God has no intention of coming to Washington to ask permission for this."

From the Temple Mount in Jerusalem we answered all of them with the words of Nehemiah to the Arab and other enemies of his time who tried to stop the rebuilding of Jerusalem:

"Then I answered them, and said to them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but you have no portion, or right, or memorial, in Jerusalem." (Nehemiah 2:20)

From the eternal capital of the God and people of Israel, our beloved Jerusalem, we sent to the entire world this godly message of King David that was sung by the Levites on the fifteen steps (in Hebrew "Ma'alot") inside the Temple in Jerusalem, calling all of the real friends of the God and people of Israel to pray for the peace of Jerusalem together with all of the people of Israel at a time when it is so needed:

"A Ma'alot Poem of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord: when our feet stood within thy gates, O Jerusalem; O Jerusalem, built as a city that is compact together: there the tribes used to go up, the tribes of the Lord, an appointed practice for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord. For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they who love thee shall prosper: peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good." (Psalm 122)

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement is calling everyone in Israel and all over the world to stand with and help the Movement both spiritually and practically with its godly end-time campaign to rebuild the Temple of God in Jerusalem, that will change the face and the image of all mankind along with its leadership toward a godly and moral foundation exactly as God shared with us through His great prophets Isaiah and Micah:

"The word of Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide among many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation; neither shall they learn war any more. And they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken it." (Isaiah 2:1-4 / Micah 4:1-4)

Sarkozy Warns of Israel - Iran War

French leader: We must act on Iran to avoid "disaster" of IAF strike.

As the Nuclear Security Summit opened in Washington on Monday night, French President Nicolas Sarkozy warned that if the world doesn't act to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear arms, it could be responsible for a war between Israel and the Islamic republic.

"I would not want the world to wake up to a conflict between Israel and Iran, quite simply because the international community has been incapable of acting,” the French president told CBS News.

He said that an IAF strike against Iran's nuclear facilities would be disastrous.

"It would be a disaster. I don't even want to think about that possibility," he said. "And the best way to avoid this disaster scenario is to take measures in order to get Israel to understand that we are determined to ensure its security. And Israel, furthermore, must equally make the necessary effort in order to bring about a fair and lasting peace with their Palestinian neighbors.”

Sarkozy reiterated that a nuclear armed Iran would be “dangerous and unacceptable," particularly in light of "the many statements made by Iranian leaders against the democracy that is Israel."

He said that patience with Iran had it limits, and so time had come to vote for sanctions against the leaders "who are leading the country to the wall.”

Sarkozy added that while a unified Security Council decision would be best, it must not come at the expense of a resolution that is so toothless that it would achieve nothing.

The French president said that his country could not agree give up its nuclear weapons, since it would jeopardize the nation's security.

Sarkozy stressed that France was the only country in the world that had actually declared how many nuclear warheads it possessed - which, he emphasized, had been dropped to 300 - and that it had stopped nuclear testing. But he said France could do no more than that at present.

"I feel that if I were to go any further, I could in fact jeopardize the security of my country, and as head of state, I am the guarantor and guarantee of that security," he said.

The French president went on to say that while everyone would applaud a "virtual world" with no nuclear weapons, that was currently no more than “an awesome dream."

"I have inherited the legacy of the efforts made by my predecessors to build up arms as a nuclear power, and I could not give up nuclear weapons, insofar as I wasn't sure that the world was a stable and safe place,” he said. "I will not give up that nuclear weapon because it underpins my country's security. I will not do so on a unilateral basis in a world as dangerous as the one in which we live in today.”

Peres: Syria Arming Hizbullah With Scuds While Talking Peace

Syria Arms Hizbullah with Scuds Syria is providing Hizbullah terrorists in Lebanon with the Scud missiles that traumatized Israel in the 1991 Gulf War, and a "Scud Crisis" is threatening to ignite an all-out war between Israel and Hizbullah, the Kuwaiti al-Rai newspaper reported.

President Shimon Peres confirmed the reports prior to leaving for his three-day visit to France.

Paraphrasing Psalms 120:7, the president said on Israeli radio, “Syria claims it wants peace while at the same time it delivers Scuds to Hizbullah whose only goal is to threaten the state of Israel.  “I am for peace; When I speak, they are for war.”’

Al-Rai reported this week that Israel warned the Obama administration “it will take steps” if the United States does not succeed in pressuring Syria to cease arming Hizbullah with the weapons. The U.S. State Department then summoned Syrian Ambassador Imad Mustafa "to inform his government about the level of danger if the missiles crossed the border.”

Israel reportedly sent warnings it would bomb Lebanese and Syrian targets if the long-range missiles cross the border into Lebanon. There are conflicting reports on whether several Scud missiles already have been delivered to Hizbullah terrorists. Despite the almost invisible line between Lebanese armed forces and Hizbullah, the Obama has administration shipped weapons to the Beirut-based government, which is heavily dominated by Syrian interests.

The increasingly open threats made by Syrian leaders and members of the Hizbullah terrorist group in Lebanon have led analyst David Schenker of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) think tank to warn that war may be on the horizon. In addition, he noted, a future war could include Syria and not only its proxy Hizbullah: in February, Syrian leaders said Syria would not “sit idly by” in case of another war with Israel.

Syrian President Bashar Assad recently told visiting U.S. Senator John Kerry that Syria was not arming Hizbullah with the deadly weapons, but the American government was not convinced.

“These reports are unequivocally false and are a product of the Israeli government that is trying to speciously create a raised level of tension in the region to justify a future conflagration of violence on their part, or simply to divert attention from the real issue at hand: Israeli settlements and expansionism,” Syria's Washington embassy spokesman told Foreign Policy’s The Cable.

U.S. President Barack Obama, as part of his “engagement” policy, recently renewed official diplomatic relations with Syria even though the United States defines it as country that supports terror.

Iraq, which was under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein in 1991, pounded Israel, including metropolitan Tel Aviv, with 40 missiles (pictured at left). In what has been termed a Divine miracle, no one was killed by the explosions.

Nuclear Security Summit Hears of Terror Risk

World leaders at a summit on nuclear security in Washington have heard dire warnings of the danger of nuclear material falling into the wrong hands.

US President Barack Obama, opening the biggest international meeting hosted by the US since 1945, greeted leaders from nearly 50 countries.

Officials said more should be done to prevent theft or smuggling.

Meanwhile, France's leader stressed his country could not give up its own nuclear weapons.

The US welcomed a Ukrainian pledge to eliminate its stockpile of highly enriched uranium by 2012.

The two-day summit is taking place without representatives of Iran and North Korea, neither of whom were invited by the US because of the disputes over their nuclear programmes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dropped plans to attend the summit, reportedly because of concern that Muslim states planned to press for Israel to open its own nuclear facilities to international inspection.

'Proliferators not welcome'

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Ikia Amano, said that nuclear powers needed to do more to protect nuclear materials.

"The problem is that nuclear material and radioactive material are not well protected and member states need to better protect these materials against the theft or smuggling," he told the BBC.

"On average every two days we receive one new information on an incident involving theft or smuggling of nuclear material."

Gaza Islamists Threaten to Slit Abbas's Throat

An Islamic fundamentalist group in the Gaza Strip on Sunday threatened to “slaughter” Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for “collaboration with the Jews.”

The commander of the group, Jaish al-Umma [Army of the Nation], said: “If it is proven that Abu Mazen [Abbas] is helping the Jews, we will slit his throat.”

The commander, Abu Abdallah Ghazzi, said that his group was also planning to launch an attack on Israel from southern Lebanon on condition that Hizbullah or UNIFIL don’t thwart it.

Jaish al-Umma is one of several Islamic fundamentalist groups that have popped up in the Gaza Strip in recent years. The groups are believed to be inspired by al-Qaida.

Ghazzi, who is wanted by Hamas, also revealed that his group turned down an offer for financial aid from Iran. He also strongly denied any links to al-Qaida, but heaped praise on Osama bin Laden “because he’s fighting against anyone who’s hostile to Islam and Muslims.”

I weep as I witness outrageous verbal attacks on Israel. What makes these verbal assaults and distortions all the more painful is that they are being orchestrated by President Obama.

For me, the situation today recalls what occurred when the Roman emperor Vespasian launched a military campaign against the Jewish nation and its ancient capital of Jerusalem. Ultimately, Masada, a rock plateau in the Judean desert became the last refuge of the Jewish people against the Roman onslaught. I have been to Jerusalem and Masada. From the top of Masada, you can still see the remains of the Roman fortifications and garrisons, and the stones and earth of the Roman siege ramp that was used to reach Masada. The Jews of Masada committed suicide rather than let themselves be taken captive by the Romans.

In Rome itself, I have seen the Arch of Titus with the sculpture showing enslaved Jews and the treasures of the Jewish Temple of Solomon with the Menorah, the symbol of the Jewish state, being carted away as booty during the sacking of Jerusalem.

Oh, you may say, that is a far fetched analogy. Please hear me out.

The most recent sacking of the old city of Jerusalem — its Jewish quarter — took place under the Jordanians in 1948 in the first war between the Jews and the Arabs, with at least five Muslim states — Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq — seeking to destroy the Jewish state. At that time, Jordan conquered East Jerusalem and the West Bank and expelled every Jew living in the Jewish quarter of the old city, destroying every building, including the synagogues in the old quarter and expelling from every part of Judea and Samaria every Jew living there so that for the first time in thousands of years, the old walled city of Jerusalem and the adjacent West Bank were "Judenrein" — a term used by the Nazis to indicate the forced removal or murder of all Jews.

Jews had lived for centuries in Hebron, the city where Abraham, the first Jew, pitched his tent and where he now lies buried, it is believed, in a tomb with his wife, Sarah, as well as other ancient Jewish patriarchs and matriarchs. I have visited that tomb and at the time asked an Israeli soldier guarding it — so that it was open to all pilgrims, Christians, Muslims and Jews — "where is the seventh step leading to the tomb of Abraham and Sarah," which was the furthest entry for Jews when the Muslims were the authority controlling the holy place? He replied, "When we retook and reunited the whole city of Jerusalem and conquered the West Bank in 1967, we removed the steps, so now everyone can enter," whereas when Muslims were in charge of the tomb, no Jew could enter it. And I did.

I am not a religious person. I am comfortable in a synagogue, but generally attend only twice a year, on the high holidays. When I entered the tomb of Abraham and Sarah, as I recall, I felt connected with my past and the traditions of my people. One is a Jew first by birth and then by religion. Those who leave their religion, remain Jews forever by virtue of their birth. If they don't think so, let them ask their neighbors, who will remind them. I recall the words of the columnist Robert Novak, who was for most of his life hostile to the Jewish state of Israel in an interview with a reporter stating that while he had converted to Catholicism, he was still a cultural Jew. I remain with pride a Jew both by religion and culture.

My support for the Jewish state has been long and steadfast. Never have I thought that I would leave the U.S. to go and live in Israel. My loyalty and love is first to the U.S. which has given me, the son of Polish Jewish immigrants, so much. But, I have also long been cognizant of the fact that every night when I went to sleep in peace and safety, there were Jewish communities around the world in danger. And there was one country, Israel, that would give them sanctuary and would send its soldiers to fight for them and deliver them from evil, as Israel did at Entebbe in 1976.

I weep today because my president, Barack Obama, in a few weeks has changed the relationship between the U.S. and Israel from that of closest of allies to one in which there is an absence of trust on both sides. The contrast between how the president and his administration deals with Israel and how it has decided to deal with the Karzai administration in Afghanistan is striking.

The Karzai administration, which operates a corrupt and opium-producing state, refuses to change its corrupt ways — the president's own brother is believed by many to run the drug traffic taking place in Afghanistan — and shows the utmost contempt for the U.S. is being hailed by the Obama administration as an ally and publicly treated with dignity. Karzai recently even threatened to join the Taliban if we don't stop making demands on him. Nevertheless, Karzai is receiving a gracious thank-you letter from President Obama. The New York Times of April 10th reported, "…that Mr. Obama had sent Mr. Karzai a thank-you note expressing gratitude to the Afghan leader for dinner in Kabul. 'It was a respectful letter,' General Jones said."

On the other hand, our closest ally — the one with the special relationship with the U.S., has been demeaned and slandered, held responsible by the administration for our problems in Afghanistan and Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East. The plan I suspect is to so weaken the resolve of the Jewish state and its leaders that it will be much easier to impose on Israel an American plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, leaving Israel's needs for security and defensible borders in the lurch.

I believe President Obama's policy is to create a whole new relationship with the Arab states of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt, and Iraq as a counter to Iran — The Tyrannosaurus Rex of the Muslim world which we are now prepared to see in possession of a nuclear weapon. If throwing Israel under the bus is needed to accomplish this alliance, so be it.

I am shocked by the lack of outrage on the part of Israel's most ardent supporters. The members of AIPAC, the chief pro-Israel lobbying organization in Washington, gave Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a standing ovation after she had carried out the instructions of President Obama and, in a 43-minute telephone call, angrily hectored Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Members of Congress in both the House and Senate have made pitifully weak statements against Obama's mistreatment of Israel, if they made any at all. The Democratic members, in particular, are weak. They are simply afraid to criticize President Obama.

What bothers me most of all is the shameful silence and lack of action by community leaders — Jew and Christian. Where are they? If this were a civil rights matter, the Jews would be in the mall in Washington protesting with and on behalf of our fellow American citizens. I asked one prominent Jewish leader why no one is preparing a march on Washington similar to the one in 1963 at which I was present and Martin Luther King's memorable speech was given? His reply was "Fifty people might come." Remember the 1930s? Few stood up. They were silent. Remember the most insightful statement of one of our greatest teachers, Rabbi Hillel: "If I am not for myself, who is for me? And if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?"

We have indeed stood up for everyone else. When will we stand up for our brothers and sisters living in the Jewish state of Israel?

If Obama is seeking to build a siege ramp around Israel, the Jews of modern Israel will not commit suicide. They are willing to negotiate a settlement with the Palestinians, but they will not allow themselves to be bullied into following self-destructive policies.

To those who call me an alarmist, I reply that I'll be happy to apologize if I am proven wrong. But those who stand silently by and watch the Obama administration abandon Israel, to whom will they apologize?

'Jewish Ties to Temple Mount will Bring Peace'

Peace Requires Jewish Temple Mt. Dr. Max Singer, a senior research associate at the Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies, writes this week that the only chance for peace in the Middle East is if the West disabuses the Arabs of two fallacies.

A founder and senior fellow of the Hudson Institute, Singer writes that within the Palestinian Authority, a debate rages between those who favor retaining the goal of eliminating Israel, and those who favor giving up that goal to gain peace and prosperity. In addition, many within the PA draw hope from the growing anti-Israel international movement that Israel can eventually be destroyed – either from within, or because it will be forced to make more concessions than it can safely live with.

If peace is to have a chance, Singer writes, Western leaders need to convince the PA side that both notions are wrong.

Jewish Links to Land - Important Part of Peace
An important component of the latter notion is the continued denial by the PA leadership of the Jewish People’s ancient connection to the Land of Israel and Jerusalem. This denial precludes the possibility that Arabs will agree to the notion of an honorable peace with Israel.

For instance, Moslem leaders in the PA repeatedly claim that the Temple Mount – the holiest site in Judaism, where Abraham nearly sacrificed his son Isaac, where the two Holy Temples stood, and where the third is to be rebuilt – has no Jewish history or background. In the words of the chief Moslem cleric of the Palestinian Authority, Mufti Ikrama Sabri, "The claim of the Jews to the right over [Jerusalem] is false, and we recognize nothing but an entirely Islamic Jerusalem under Islamic supervision..."

Similarly, Islamic Movement chief Raed Salah has said, "We reiterate for the 1,000th time that the entire Al-Aqsa mosque [on the Temple Mount], including all of its area and alleys above the ground and under it, is exclusive and absolute Moslem property, and no one else has any rights to even one grain of earth in it."

Jordan, too, has not waived its demands for sovereignty and responsibility over the Temple Mount. Jordanian government minister Abdel Salam Abbadi said last week that Jordan’s 1988 decision to disconnect from Judea and Samaria did not mean that it detached itself from Jerusalem and the holy sites.

Groups Work for Jewish Temple Mount
To counter this approach – and thereby to help achieve the goal of which Singer wrote – various Jewish groups in Israel seek to cement the Jewish bonds to the Temple Mount. They visit the Mount whenever possible, attempt to secure rights for Jews to visit and pray there, arrange marches outside the Temple Mount gates, and raise Temple Mount awareness with events, classes, pamphlets, exhibits and more.

Among them are The Temple Institute, the Organization for the Renewal of the Temple, the Sanhedrin, the Organization for Human Rights on the Temple Mount, and others.

Petition to Netanyahu
The Organization for the Renewal of the Temple has initiated a petition/letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, urging him to add the Temple Mount to his new list of sites preserved as National Heritage sites. The letter states that though “the Temple Mount is the holiest site in the world for the Jewish people, yet the Muslim authorities, aided by Israel Police, systematically deny the right of religious expression on the Mount to all non-Moslems. On numerous occasions the High Court of Justice has upheld the Jewish people’s right to pray at the site, yet the police continue to prevent this. Furthermore, Jewish visitors are harassed and degraded… Please, end this travesty and allow Jewish freedom of expression at the Temple Mount. I urge you include the Temple Mount in your “Heritage Plan” of sites significant to the Jewish people.”

The Temple Institute, engaged in education, research, and development towards the Holy Temple in accordance with Biblical law, recently held its 29th annual Temple Institute Passover Symposium, under the banner of "Integrating Modern Technology into the Holy Temple." Issues discussed included questions such as, “Will massive digital screens allow worshippers to observe the work of the High Priest from a great distance? Will computers be used to keep track of the sacrifices, public and private? Will special impurity-proof buses be used to transport Passover pilgrims and their Paschal offerings?”

Art's Commentary.....There is a rapidly developing movement in Israel to rebuild the Temple and restore the Temple Worship. A few short months ago such talk would be quickly silenced, but now the whole climate has changed. Just how it will come about is no clearer now than it was before, but you can sense that the momentum is building. Neither Obama nor the Palestinians will prevent the purposes of God from unfolding. Part of the purpose of God is for Israel to have the Temple and Temple Worship during the first half of the tribulation period, even though we know that Antichrist will desecrate that Temple. God will work in these circumstances to ultimately bring Israel to the place spiritual restoration.

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
