AMERICA'S DEMISE

America seems to be headed for economic oblivion. Many economic indicators show the economy in a free fall. There are still some who are in denial but the realization that we are headed for a bottomless pit seems to be dawning on many.

The US government is prepared to give 7.76 trillion dollars of tax payers money to the Federal Reserve which is a non-governmental agency that is not accountable to government (check that out it = 776 thousand billion dollars). This amounts to half of everything produced in the nation last year, and over half of the national debt.

America could (will) end up almost overnight as a third world country. The military could be eliminated through lack of funding. What a fitting judgment on a materialistic society that has turned completely away from God and has defied God’s Word concerning Israel and the possession of her land. For several years now the warnings have been sounding, and they have gone unheeded.

The demise of America would have a profound effect on the whole world and would open the way for the Biblical end time scenario to unfold.

It seems almost incredible that every where you look the stage is being set for the last act in the drama of man’s day. I am reminded of the words of Jesus, “And in the morning, it will be foul weather to-day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” Mt. 16:3. The words of Paul are also resounding in our ears, “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that day should overtake you as a thief.” 1 Thess.5:4. A wonderful promise is given to us in 1 Thess. 5:9 “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, (the awful destruction of the tribulation period) but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,” (the Rapture). If you are not saved, now is the time, if you wait you may be forever too late.

SIX SIGNS OF THE SOON COMING OF CHRIST

Sign no. 1 The rapidly forming world Church

On October 13 2006 Muslim scholars and Islamic authorities from around the world sent an open letter to the Pope. The letter was entitled, “A Common Word between Us and You”. It opened as follows;

“Muslims and Christians together make up well over half of the world’s population. Without peace and justice between these two religious communities, there can be no meaningful peace in the world. The future of the world depends on peace between Muslims and Christians.

The basis for this peace and understanding already exists. It is part of the very foundational principles of both faiths: love of the One God, and love of the neighbour. These principles are found over and over again in the sacred texts of Islam and Christianity. The Unity of God, the necessity of love for Him, and the necessity of love of the neighbour is thus the common ground between Islam and Christianity.”

Presto! Islam and Christianity are joined together, with enough in common to unite the world in peace and prosperity. This would be a one world religion, with an understanding that although we do not totally agree, the differences are not important.

Since that time 299 leading Muslim leaders and Scholars have signed this document.

300 Christian leaders and groups have responded positively to this initiative. The list of Christian leaders and organizations who have responded reads like who’s who in Christianity. The National council of Churches, World Alliance of Reformed Churches, the World Evangelical Alliance, the Mennonite Church, the Presbyterian Church USA, Rick Warren and Bill Hybels to name only a few. Along with this group are the Pope and a host of Catholic bishops and leaders.

Jewish leaders have likewise signed on, including the Chief Rabbi of Israel.

Those who understand the prophetic scriptures cannot but help realize that this is the Harlot Church of Revelation 17, in its formative stages.

The whole purpose is to join all religions together with government to bring peace, prosperity and happiness to the world. Rick Warren’s one billion man peace movement fits in well with this agenda.

It is heart rending to see so many Evangelicals who are reaping the final fruit of New Evangelicalism.

A 2000 year old prophetic scenario is falling perfectly into place.

Sign no. 2 The looming world government

2000 years ago John the Apostle foretold of a last days one world government (Rev. 13:7). Today we see the world in desperate financial straits, the world’s leaders are crying out for global control of the world’s financial system. For years leaders have been promoting one world government, now the conditions are right for its implementation. Perhaps another crisis or two will finish off the drive, a nuclear exchange or an out of control war in the mid-east.

We know from Revelation that the one world government will not come together until the mid-tribulation point. The stage is now being set to bring it about. Another 2000 year old prophetic scenario is falling into place.

Sign no.3 The revived roman empire

Today the E.U. states very emphatically that it is the Revived Roman Empire, actually the E.U. is the embryonic form of the Revived Roman Empire which will not come into being until the antichrist comes to assume his leadership. The 10 toes of Daniels vision represented the R.R.E., they were said to be Iron mixed with clay (pottery) and that they did not adhere. For over 50 years the E.U. has had no unity, now they are planning to choose a powerful leader who can force unity on them. This is the office of antichrist which is about to come into being. Can the antichrist be far behind? One seeming problem is that the E.U. now involves 27 countries; Daniel’s vision states there are to be ten kingdoms. The E.U. has revealed plans to divide the 27 countries into economic zones, the purpose is to break down national loyalties and build unity. Though they have not specified the number ten, it is a real possibility.

The E.U. is quickly rising to its foretold place of world domination. The latest World Bank report states that the E.U. has a GDP of 13.5 trillion dollars, surpassing the U.S. GDP of 12.4 and the Euro has now surpassed the U.S. dollar in currency circulation.

What Daniel prophesied 2500 years ago is now falling into place.

Sign no.4 The push for the peace treaty

For much of my lifetime the world’s leaders have spared no effort to bring a peace treaty to the mid-east. Such a peace agreement has totally defied them, the closer they get to it the farther away it becomes. All the nations of the world are pressuring Israel to give up the land God has promised to them in hope of a peace treaty. The world has not established peace in the mid-east; the world cannot have a peace treaty; the world will not have a peace treaty until God’s time comes, then antichrist will come on the scene and sign a peace treaty which will bring a false peace. It would seem that the appearance of antichrist cannot be far off as the pressure builds to do what Daniel 2500 years ago, said would happen. Another prophetic scenario is playing out before our very eyes.

Sign no.5 Demise of america

Bible scholars have long stated that America has no part to play in the last days prophetic scenario. The truth is, that at this point America is both militarily and economically that the last days scenario cannot play out. It seems to follow, that America will somehow be neutralized prior to the tribulation period. We are now seeing warning signs that America is in serious trouble. We have always been pro-American, but America like Canada has turned away from God and His Word. We have slaughtered 50 million babies in their mother’s wombs. These are children whom God has intricately designed and called into being. The voice of their blood cries out to God from the ground. We have denied even the existence of God and that he created the heavens and the earth. Idolatry, immorality and materialism have overwhelmed our very souls. Now the shadow of God’s judgment is falling upon us.

Joel 3:2 tells of judgment upon all of the nations of the world for dividing Israel’s land and giving a portion to the gentiles. It would that appear America’s judgment will come prior to the tribulation period, while the other nations will be judged at the close in the battle of Armageddon. We are living in an hour when the prophetic end time scenario is leaping out at us from all sides. Look up and listen up, we are soon to go home!

Sign no.6 The formation of the alliance for the war of Ezekiel 38 & 39

Ezekiel foretold 2600 years ago of an attack on Israel in the early days of the tribulation period. He named the nations to be involved, Russia, Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey and the nations surrounding Israel. Today we are witnessing that prophecy about to come to pass. The president of Iran has been calling for the destruction of Israel; he is calling for an alliance of nations to come against Israel and annihilate her. We are actually seeing this alliance now come together. Ezekiel said that Russia would lead this alliance and that is what is taking place.

Ahmadinejad has stated that Israel will be destroyed in “one storm”. Contrast that with what Ezekiel prophesied would happen, “Thou so powerful shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou and all thy bands, and many people with thee” Ezekiel 38:9. Do you see the comparison between what the President of Iran says he will do and what Ezekiel said would happen? We know of course, God has said that He will deliver Israel. It is absolutely amazing that the prophetic scenario that Ezekiel foretold so long ago is now about to be enacted.

God is the sovereign Lord of the universe who knows the end from the beginning and writes history thousands of years before it happens. Fulfilled prophecy proves that the Bible is the Word of God and that Word tells us that this age is about to come to an end, that Christ is soon to call His bride home to heaven.

There is an all important question: are you a part of the bride of Christ? Have you been saved by grace through faith in the shed blood of Christ. This is the greatest issue you will ever face, nothing else is of importance, “Behold now is the day of salvation”.

The Bible: More Than a Volume of Facts

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16
Charles G. Finney believed that Bible teaching without moral application could be worse than no teaching at all and could result in positive injury to the hearers. I used to feel that this might be an extreme position, but after years of observation have come around to it, or to a view almost identical with it.
There is scarcely anything so dull and meaningless as Bible doctrine taught for its own sake. Theology is a set of facts concerning God, man and the world. These facts may be and often are set forth as values in themselves; and there lies the snare both for the teacher and for the hearer. The Bible is more than a volume of hitherto unknown facts about God, man and the universe. It is a book of exhortation based upon these facts. By far the greater portion of the book is devoted to an urgent effort to persuade people to alter their ways and bring their lives into harmony with the will of God as set forth in its pages.
Actually, no man is better for knowing that God in the beginning created the heaven and the earth. The devil knows that, and so did Ahab and Judas Iscariot. No man is better for knowing that God so loved the world of men that He gave His only begotten Son to die for their redemption. In hell there are millions who know that.
Theological truth is useless until it is obeyed. The purpose behind all doctrine is to secure moral action!

The Blessing and the Curse

In the book of Deuteronomy, 3500 years ago the Lord promised Israel that if they would obey Him he would prosper them and bless their land. He also promised them that if they disobeyed He would bring a curse on them and their land. Israel did disobey the Lord and turned away from Him. As a result He brought a curse on them and made their land barren and desolate. For over 2000 years that curse was upon Israel and their land. (Lev.26:32-33) God also promised them that He would one day return them to their land and bless them again. In our lifetime we have seen God bring Israel back to her land and bless them and their land again. God has done this not because Israel has deserved it. He has done it for two reasons. First---He has performed this because He promised to do it, He is remembering His promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Second---He has done it for the glory of His own name. (Ezekiel 36:21-24)

The extent to which the Lord has fulfilled His promises to Israel in our lifetime proves beyond any doubt that God is the living God who keeps His promises 3500 years after the fact. It also proves that Israel is God’s chosen people, no better or worse than any other peoples, but still chosen by God for a purpose.

GOD HAS BLESSED THE LAND FOR ISRAEL

Since their return to the land in our lifetime God has blessed the land in a remarkable way. The land has gone from desolation to productivity. It is a land of orchards and vineyards that ships fruit of all kinds around the world. Israel ships a billion dollars worth of produce to Europe each year. 3500 years ago God said it would happen. (Isa. 35:1, 27:6) The UN has reported that the soil of Israel is the most productive in the world. It produces 202 tons of tomatoes per acre, 1.2 million roses per acre, 32 tons of citrus fruits per acre.

GOD HAS BLESSED THE ISRAELI PEOPLE

The following facts prove God has kept His promise to bless Israel; these are just some of the blessings of God on the Israeli people since they have returned to the land. Israel the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the world’s population, can lay claim to the following:

* The cell phone was developed in Israel by Israelis working in the Israeli branch of Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel.

* Most of the Windows NT and XP operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel.

* Both the Pentium-4 microprocessor and the Centrino processor were entirely designed, developed and produced in Israel.

* The Pentium microprocessor in your computer was most likely made in Israel.

* Voice mail technology was developed in Israel.

* Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R&D facilities outside the US in Israel.

* The technology for the AOL Instant Messenger ICQ was developed in 1996 by four young Israelis.

* Israel’s $100 billion economy is larger than all of its immediate neighbors combined.

* Israel has the highest percentage in the world of home computers per capita.

* According to industry officials, Israel designed the airline industry’s most impenetrable flight security. US officials now look (finally) to Israel for advice on how to handle airborne security threats.

* Israel has the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world.

* Israel produces more scientific papers per capita than any other nation by a large margin - 109 per 10,000 people — as well as one of the highest per capita rates of patents filed.

* In proportion to its population, Israel has the largest number of startup companies in the world. In absolute terms, Israel has the largest number of startup companies than any other country in the world, except the U.S. (3,500 companies mostly in hi-tech).

* With more than 3,000 high-tech companies and startups, Israel has the highest concentration of hi-tech companies in the world — apart from the Silicon Valley, U.S.

* Israel is ranked #2 in the world for venture capital funds right behind the U.S.

* Outside the United States and Canada, Israel has the largest number of NASDAQ listed companies.

* Israel has the highest average living standard in the Middle East.

* The per capita income in 2000 was over $17,500, exceeding that of the UK.

* On a per capita basis, Israel has the largest number of biotech startups.

* Twenty-four per cent of Israel’s workforce hold university degrees, ranking third in the industrialized world, after the United States and Holland and 12 per cent hold advanced degrees.

* Israel is the only liberal democracy in the Middle East.

* In 1984 and 1991, Israel airlifted a total of 22,000 Ethiopian Jews (Operation Solomon) at Risk in Ethiopia, to safety in Israel.

* When Golda Meir was elected Prime Minister of Israel in 1969, she became the world’s second elected female leader in modern times.

* When the U. S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya was bombed in 1998, Israeli rescue teams were on the scene within a day — and saved three victims from the rubble.

* Israel has the third highest rate of entrepreneurship — and the highest rate among women and among people over 55 - in the world.

* Relative to its population, Israel is the largest immigrant-absorbing nation on earth. Immigrants come in search of democracy, religious freedom, and economic opportunity. (Hundreds of thousands from the former Soviet Union).

* Israel was the first nation in the world to adopt the Kimberly process, an international standard that certifies diamonds as “conflict free.”

* Israel has the world’s second highest per capita of new books.

* Israel is the only country in the world that entered the 21st century with a net gain in its number of trees, made more remarkable because this was achieved in an area considered mainly desert.

* Israel has more museums per capita than any other country.

* Medicine… Israeli scientists developed the first fully computerized, no-radiation, diagnostic instrumentation for breast cancer.

* An Israeli company developed a computerized system for ensuring proper administration of medications, thus removing human error from medical treatment. Every year in U. S. hospitals 7,000 patients die from treatment mistakes.

* Israel’s Given Imaging developed the first ingestible video camera, so small it fits inside a pill. Used to view the small intestine from the inside, for cancer and digestive disorders.

* Researchers in Israel developed a new device that directly helps the heart pump blood, an innovation with the potential to save lives among those with heart failure. The new device is synchronized with the camera helps doctors diagnose heart’s mechanical operations through a sophisticated system of sensors.

* Israel leads the world in the number of scientists and technicians in the workforce, with 145 per 10,000, as opposed to 85 in the U. S., over 70

* in Japan, and less than 60 in Germany. Over 25% of its work force is employed in technical professions. Israel places first in this category as well.

* A new acne treatment developed in Israel, the Clear Light device, produces a high-intensity, ultraviolet-light-free, narrow-band blue light that causes acne bacteria to self-destruct — all without damaging surrounding skin or tissue.

* An Israeli company was the first to develop and install a large-scale solar-powered and fully functional electricity generating plant, in southern California’s Mojave Desert.

* All the above while engaged in regular wars with an implacable enemy that seeks its destruction and an economy continuously under strain by having to spend more per capita on its own protection than any other county on earth.

Only a hardened heart of unbelief can fail to recognize the hand of God on His chosen people. In Joel 3:2, the Lord has warned the world not to part (divide) Israel’s land, a warning is given of judgment to fall upon the nations that do. Nations be warned!

The Final Wave

The wave of New Evangelicalism in 1948 swept the Fundamental-Philadelphian Church. It was the beginning of a transition which would see the birth of the Church Growth Movement, the User-Friendly Church and the Purpose Driven Church. The final wave is now sweeping over the Evangelical-Laodicean Church. This final wave involves the transition from Laodicea to the Harlot Church of the tribulation period. The vehicle for this final wave is the Emergent Church. We are seeing this tremendous wave now gaining momentum as it begins to roll over lukewarm Laodicea.

The Emergent Church has no structure which makes it harder to recognize. From January 30 to February 1 the Break Forth Canada Conference will be held in Edmonton. This conference is sold out with some 15,000 registered from Evangelical Churches all across Western Canada. It is dominated by Emergent Church Leaders and it is an attempt to infiltrate Canadian Churches, with the Emergent message at the grass roots level.

I believe this conference will launch a wave that will sweep the churches of our nation, a wave that will see the foundations laid for the Harlot Church of Revelation 17.

Believer, somewhere along the line you have to abandon New Evangelicalism or drown in apostasy. You can pay a price and take a stand or you can drift into perdition. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” 2 Timothy 4:3-4

The National Council of Churches

The National Council of Churches is made up of 100,000 churches with 45 million members in a variety of denominations. This year they sent out a brochure to member churches and their adherents. The Los Angeles Times wrote, “Before this year is up, nearly 45 million people will get more than a sermon at their churches—they’ll get a brochure titled “Why we should be concerned about Christian Zionism.” The brochure says Christian Zionism “fosters fear and hatred of Muslims and non-Western Christians” and ”can lead to the dehumanization of Israelis and Palestinians.” Its distribution reflects the concerns of Christians who are trying to combat what they call, the growth of Christian Zionism in the U.S. The reformed Church in America is one of the 35 Christian church bodies that make up the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA, who wrote the brochure and began distributing it this month.

A Christian Zionist is one who believes that God is not finished with Israel and that God still has a purpose for Israel. The National Council of Churches is Anti-Semitic in their approach to Israel and is seeking to discredit Christians who hold to the promises of God concerning Israel. The promises God made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are not revoked but yet to be fulfilled.

"And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God" Genesis 17:7-8. This promise is repeated in scripture many times over. If you don’t believe God and His Word, tear up your Bible and close your church doors, but don’t fight against God and His people!

What Does the Emergent Church Look Like?

In our lifetime we have witnessed the transition from the Church of Philadelphia to the Church of Laodicea. According to scripture the Laodicean Church is an unsaved church. We see the Lord outside the church knocking to enter in. We also see the Lord vomiting the Laodiceans out of His mouth. The picture also indicates that Laodicea has the outward appearance of a real church with great affluence and influence. The similarity between the present day Evangelical Church and Laodicea are undeniable.

This transition began in 1948 with the introduction of New Evangelicalism. New Evangelicalism produced Ecumenical Evangelism, the Church Growth Movement, the Market Driven, the User Friendly Church and the Purpose Driven Church. The philosophy and operating principles behind New Evangelicalism are:

1. “The cessation of contending for the Faith”, be nice and be tolerant.
2. “Be ready to dialogue with Liberals”.
3. “Refuse to Separate from error”, if a man is your brother, be tolerant of his ideas and do not separate from him. (Do not separate from Liberals or New Evangelicals)
4. "Win the approval of the world"

The result is a church that is designed to bring the world into the church, to make the unsaved feel at home by preaching easy-believism, mental assent, a powerless gospel that does not save. Fill the church with pseudo Christians and entertain them to keep them coming back.

We weep to see almost the entire Evangelical church being swept into apostasy.

Now another great transition is underway, the transition from Laodicea to the Emergent Church. The Emergent church is the capstone of the last days apostasy; it is the vehicle to draw Evangelicalism into the Harlot Church of Revelation 17.

Today exciting conferences are being held to expose evangelicals to the Emergent Church and evangelicals are crowding in to these conferences. It’s something new and exciting for undiscerning people who want to walk the easy road instead of the Calvary road.

The Emergent Church is nothing less than apostasy; let me give you some statements by Emergent leaders.

Emergent leader Samir Selmanovic has stated, “The emerging church movement has come to believe that the ultimate context of the spiritual aspirations of a follower of Jesus Christ is not Christianity but rather the kingdom of God…Is Christianity the only religion that understands the true meaning of life? Or does God place his truth in others too? The gospel is not our gospel, but the gospel of the kingdom of God, and what belongs to the kingdom of God cannot be hijacked by Christianity”

It is obvious that this is apostasy designed for a world church.

Another Emergent leader, Brian McLaren, writes, “We don’t know what the gospel is”. In the book, “The Secret Message of Jesus: Uncovering the Truth that Could Change Everything”, McLaren states that he believes that the church has never understood the message of Jesus. Very early, he says, the church twisted what Jesus taught into a gospel of “justification by grace through faith, the free gift of salvation. Christ being a substitutionary sacrifice for sin”.

Such a statement is a total rejection of the gospel. Then he goes on to lay the groundwork for a world church.

He says, “Jesus seems to say, the kingdom of God doesn’t need to wait until something else happens. No it is available and among you now…invite people of all nations, races, classes and religions to participate in this network of dynamic, interactive relationships with God and all God’s creation!”

He has removed the gospel and brought the whole world into the church. The amazing thing is that many Evangelicals cannot see that this is total apostasy.

Dr. Bill Goetz gives a series of indicators by which you can tell if the Emergent is creeping into your church.

1. Any suggestion by leadership that the Bible is not the final authority for all questions of spiritual life and faith.
2. The growing emphasis on really knowing God through the kind of “spiritual formation” which includes “the silence” or contemplative prayer.
3. Favorable focus on the teachings of the ancient mystics.
4. Any degree of dialogue with non-Christian religions.
5. Excessive “Kingdom talk”, especially Christians bringing in the kingdom through their own efforts.

It is time to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints! It is time to come out of apostate Christianity!
