Concerning those believers in our sphere of influence:
If we do not earnestly contend for the faith, we are to blame if they depart from the faith. Jude 1:3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
Ezekiel 3:17-18, “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.”
If we do not earnestly oppose compromise and set an example, we are to blame if they compromise, "Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample" (Philippians 3:17).
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58). If we do not rebuke carnal lifestyle and sensual dress and worldliness, we are to blame for it in their lives. "Abstain from all appearance of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:22-23). If we do not promote music that glorifies God, we are to blame for music that does not honour Him. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16).
To be silent and neutral is to compromise!
God’s blessing on your ministry is not His approval on all that is going on in your life. The violation of God’s will and His Word will cause a diminishing affect on the results of your ministry and limit the blessing. That diminishing affect will appear either at the present time or tomorrow or upon future generations. That affect on others could be disastrous.
The man or woman who walks according to the Word of God and according to the will of God will bring forth fruit that will remain. Lives and churches and ministries not exposed to the whole counsel of God may appear to be blessed of God but time will reveal loss of blessing.
