Russia Warns of New World War As Nk Tests Bomb More Powerful Than Hiroshima

RUSSIA has warned North Korea risks plunging the entire region into a catastrophic war that threatens to shatter global peace and security if an immediate halt is not called to the nation's rapidly expanding nuclear weapons programme.

The Kremlin made the alarming prediction after Pyongyang successfully carried out its most powerful nuclear device on Friday - more devastating than the warhead dropped on Hiroshima that ultimately ended the Second World War.

Russia's foreign ministry called on the North to end its "dangerous escapades" and warned the test would have negative consequences for the increasingly isolated pariah state.

South Korean president, Park Geun-hye, blasted the "maniacal recklessness" of her northern neighbour while America warned of "serious consequences" following the unprecedented blast.

The European Union's foreign policy chief also warned that the test threatened peace across Asia.

Federica Mogherini said the development was a "grave threat to peace and security of the entire region and beyond".

And NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg described the latest test as "very disturbing"

But China has blamed the US and South Koreas for ratcheting up tensions.

China is Pyongyang's main ally and simply said it would lodge a diplomatic protest with North Korea at its embassy in Beijing.

Beijing's official Xinhua news agency accused Seoul of having "seriously damaged regional strategic balance and caused a rise in tensions on the peninsula" with the deployment of an air defence shield backed by the US.

n another worrying turn, nuclear experts now believe Kim Jong-un's military is capable of striking anywhere in South Korea and Japan after the North's technicians claimed to have miniaturised the warhead sufficiently to fit it on a ballots missile.

North Korea's KNCA news agency said the country was now able to "produce at will and as many as it wants a variety of smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear warheads of higher strike power".

Today's test triggered a 5.3 magnitude tremor was reported by the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake took place 15 miles north east of Sungjibaegam and was only 11 miles below the surface.

Pyongyang has carried out a series of nuclear and ballistic missile attempts since the turn of the year with mixed results - causing tough new sanctions to be imposed by the UN Security council.

Security experts last month hinted that North Korea's nuclear capability had dramatically expanded in 2016.

Returning Home: Terrorists Present Immediate Threat

The support of U.S. and Russian-led bombings of Iraqi, Syrian and other ground forces are fast unseating the terror group from its territorial footholds. With the growing success on the ground comes the chaotic disbursement of refugees seeking safety and asylum as well as the return of radicals to their home nations.

Now, trained in the methods and operations of terror attacks on civilians, Western security agencies are bracing themselves for an influx of extremists and uncharted territory about how to keep track of them all.

According to reports by Newsweek, nearly 30,000 foreign extremists that joined the fight are still in Syria and Iraq. As the terror network loses ground, a wave of radicals is expected to return to their country of origin.

Reports have surfaced that, out of an estimated 850 who have traveled to support the reign of terror since 2014, nearly "400 British Islamic State fanatics have returned to the UK after fighting with the terror group in the Middle East".

Since the recent decline of ISIS, the number of foreign fighters joining has waned significantly. However, Europol head Rob Wainwright reports that nearly 5,000 trained terrorists have already returned to Europe from the battlefields.

"The growing number of foreign fighters presents the EU countries with completely new challenges," the EU law enforcement chief said. "It is expected that IS or other religious terrorist groups will carry out an attack somewhere in Europe, with the aim of achieving high losses among civilian population."

Europe has already suffered numerous mass-murder attacks by Islamic radicals that included, among many others, the slaughter of 130 innocents in Paris, 77 in Nice and the brutal execution of a priest during morning Mass.

ISIS supporters have gloated about sleeper cells hidden throughout Europe which are ready to carry out attacks on innocent civilians.

One ISIS supporter boasted over social media about upcoming attacks which he claimed would be as deadly as those in Nice and Paris.

He said: "There are many cells being set up.

"That Islam will bring fear upon their land and each home.

"And many more attacks are carded.

"And on the way in many forms and fashions.

Political scientist Colin Clarke from the American think-tank RAND has warned Europe not to take the claims lightly.

He said: "This is a very patient group, so if there are jihadists that have already infiltrated various European countries, they could be in the process of gathering the logistics and materials necessary to conduct an attack, which could happen at any time.

In North America, Canada has grown increasingly fearful of a terror incident occurring inside its borders.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, Canadian officials have charged more than 40 individuals with terror-related offenses during the past 14 years. That number is on the rise as an additional 16 have been charged since January 2015.

Canadian officials are warning citizens that approximately 180 militants traveled from Canada to the Middle East to join terrorist organizations and they are tracking an additional 60 "extremist travelers who had returned to Canada," according to a government report evidencing the Islamic State's infiltration of North America.

The number of ISIS-connected radicals in the United States remains murky because the Obama administration has not been forthcoming with information about their ranks, unlike America's northern neighbor. However, the frequency of 'lone wolf' and radicalized Muslim violence has grown.

In San Bernardino, California, 14 were killed and 22 wounded by a pair of homegrown Islamic terrorists last year and the Orlando night club attack claimed the lives of 49 in the name of ISIS. Compounding the fracturing of ISIS and the displacement of its fighters has been the mass movement of refugees and children brainwashed by the terror group.

Europe saw a record 1.3 asylum applications to 28 countries by refugees from the war-torn Middle East last year alone. The United States has already taken in more than its commitment of 10,000 Syrian refugees made by Pres. Obama.

While ISIS may not be systematically disguising terrorists as refugees, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said that gunmen had exploited the refugee crisis to "slip in" to the country under the radar, according to Fox News. Similarly, ISIS has swelled its ranks with so-called "Cubs of the Caliphate" in hopes of spreading terror throughout the West after it falls.

In 2015, 88,245 unaccompanied children -- 91 percent of them boys -- sought European asylum. European governments have already admitted to losing track of many of these children, and those who have not already been indoctrinated by ISIS could become prime targets for extremist recruitment.

The overwhelming movement of people across borders has stretched the abilities of the agencies charged with monitoring potential threats beyond the breaking point. To date, Interpol has only managed to compile a list of some 7,000 foreign fighters from the estimated 30,000 and as many as 30 percent are thought to have already returned to their country of origin, according to a report by the Committee of the U.N. Security Council on ISIS and al-Qaida.

The report goes on to state that "some persons have returned with the specific intention and the willingness to commit terrorist attacks, as evidenced by the attacks in Paris and Brussels."

Due to the tremendous amount of human displacement caused by the joint military operations that are crushing ISIS, the returning fanatics -- now trained in the art of terror -- pose an unprecedented danger to the largely unprotected civilian communities of Western countries.

Progressively Regressive Sexuality: a Return to Pagan Morality

How often have you heard sexual progressives claim that those of us who hold to traditional sexual morality and marriage are "on the wrong side of history?"

But as one new book points out, it's the proponents of the sexual revolution who are embracing a sexual morality that history left behind millennia ago--in the dusty ruins of the Roman Forum.

Yes, today Western civilization is undergoing a dramatic cultural shift. In just a few short years our society has fundamentally altered the meaning of marriage, embraced the notion that men can become women, and is now promoting the idea that grown men should be welcome to share a bathroom with women and young girls. Not unexpectedly, we're also seeing movement toward the normalization of polygamy, pedophilia, and incest.

It's precisely in times like this that we need some historical perspective. Which is why Lutheran pastor Matthew Rueger's new book, "Sexual Morality in a Christless World," is a timely godsend. In it, Rueger shows how Christian sexual morality rocked the pagan world of ancient Rome. The notions of self-giving love, sexual chastity, and marital fidelity were foreign, even shocking to the people of that time.

Citing existing scholarship, Rueger details the Roman sexual worldview that prevailed for hundreds of years. Women and children were viewed as sexual objects; slaves--male and female--could expect to be raped; there was widespread prostitution; and predatory homosexuality was common. Christian sexual morality might have been seen as repressive by the licentious, but it was a gift from God for their victims.

Rueger writes that "Claims in our day of being progressive and moving forward by accepting the 'new prevailing views on sexuality and same-sex marriage' are horribly misinformed ... Contemporary views about sexuality are simply a revival of an older and much less loving view of the world."

But they are also a revival of an older and impoverished view of human beings. Imagine the reaction of a pagan Roman slave girl who learned for the first time that she had value--not monetary value as a piece of goods to be enjoyed or discarded by her owner--but eternal value because she was made in the very image of God.

Or imagine the pang of conscience felt by an unfaithful Roman husband when he learned that God became incarnate, and took on human flesh, and that how he treated his own body and the bodies of others mattered to God. Mattered immensely.

Folks, we can't look away and ignore this unholy revival of pagan sexuality and its cheapened view of human beings. But we also can't wring our hands in fear or throw them up in defeat. As Rueger points out, Christ and His Church radically transformed a far more sexually cruel and chaotic world than ours.

Look to those ancient believers who went before us: Rather than succumbing to or accommodating the spirit of the age, new converts in the early Church came to understand, as Rueger writes, that "Christian morality is based on Christ's all-encompassing purity and self-emptying love...Christians could no longer live as the Greeks or Romans. Their worldview and self-view was distinctly different. They were now one with Christ in heart and soul."

Now, their distinctiveness, as Rueger writes, "would not spare them from suffering; it would invite suffering." It's pretty clear now that the same holds true for us. Will we bend the knee to this revived pagan sexuality, or will we hold out to a needy world the freedom of God's plan for human sexuality?

Obama Celebrates Slave Labor Day in Red China

The old joke, “He’ll do anything for the worker except become one,” may apply to the Democratic Party and its modern-day leaders. The days when Democrats represented the working man are gone. Today, Democrats are more likely to preserve fish than jobs.

A case in point is President Obama’s unilateral designation of 600,000 square miles of water around Hawaii as a national monument. The rationale for destroying jobs and devastating fishing communities is global warming.

“It’s a good time to be a fish” says the website of Global Citizen. Human beings aren’t faring so well.

It’s no secret that the Democratic Party’s hold on the white working class is weakening. It’s an open secret that Donald J. Trump has expanded on Ronald Reagan’s appeal to so-called Reagan Democrats. Whether he can appeal to blacks who overwhelmingly vote Democratic is another issue. Their habitual deference to the Democratic Party, when their communities have been devastated by liberal policies, is shocking to behold.

The attack on workers shows no sign of weakening. Obama and the Democrats seem to be more interested in pandering to elites enthralled with the latest version of the global warming theory than to the workers in need of bread to feed their families.

The destruction of the coal industry, an openly announced objective of President Obama, is currently underway. “Since reaching a peak in September 2014, employment in mining has declined by 223,000, with losses concentrated in support activities for mining,” reports the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Now Obama has turned his sights on the fishing industry.

“Obama creates the largest protected place on the planet, in Hawaii,” proclaimed The Washington Post. Job losses were briefly mentioned in the body of the piece.

The Post quoted White House press secretary Josh Earnest as saying that Obama “would be happy to sign into law a piece of legislation that would have protected these waters, but we haven’t seen that kind of legislative activity in this Congress, and it means the president has had to make more effective use of his executive authority.”

The Post failed to explain where in the Constitution a president is given the right to make a law when Congress doesn’t do what the president demands.

One version of the global warming theory, which rationalizes these jobs losses, originated with marijuana advocate Carl Sagan, who was also an astronomer. Before he came to believe the Earth was inhabited by a spirit called Gaia, Sagan was writing about the virtues of dope and “the cannabis experience.” He explained, “I do not consider myself a religious person in the usual sense, but there is a religious aspect to some highs. The heightened sensitivity in all areas gives me a feeling of communion with my surroundings, both animate and inanimate.”

It may have been during a “high” that he felt at one with the earth spirit Gaia and came to believe, despite his scientific training, that climate changes of some kind or another were threatening the health of the planet.

Pot heads are susceptible to all kinds of wacky theories. So it is no surprise that before he popularized the global warming theory, now known as climate change, he was utilized by the Russians to spread the idea that a “nuclear winter” would devastate the planet. This idea was floated in order to argue against improvements in the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

All of these various theories are designed to convince the United States that global institutions and international agreements are the only way to save mankind from utter destruction.

Comrade J, a blockbuster book about Russian espionage written by former Washington Post reporter and author Pete Earley, explains how the Soviet KGB peddled charges that deployment of U.S. nuclear weapons to Europe in the 1980s might lead to their use and a “nuclear winter,” or climate crisis, for the world. The book says the story was cooked up by the KGB and fed to the Western world by anti-nuclear activists such as Carl Sagan, who penned an article on the topic for the Council on Foreign Relations journal Foreign Affairs. The book notes that Sagan later appeared on the ABC television network to talk about the subject.

Sergei Tretyakov, a former Russian spy who defected in New York in 2000 and who Earley wrote about in his book, said he discovered “dozens of case studies” of the KGB using “propaganda and disinformation to influence public opinion” in the West.

The prospect of a “global chilling” soon gave way to “global warming,” and now “climate change.” It’s the latest attempt to con people into believing that human activities on the earth could fundamentally alter the earth’s climate and doom humanity.

Obama, now in Communist China for the G-20 meeting, has accepted a new and improved version of communist disinformation. He wants the American people to believe that the rulers in Beijing are going to comply with a new climate change agreement to restrict their own industries, which drive their military buildup.

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, says, “Now we find ourselves celebrating an agreement where the world’s largest carbon emitter, China, is permitted to increase their emissions until 2025 and to continue bringing a coal-fired power plant online every 10 days. We even turn a blind eye to the fact that China lied about its carbon emissions when it first came to the table with its pledge last year.”

Not only does Obama violate the Constitution and abuse his executive powers, he does so to serve the purposes of Communist China. It is another disgraceful part of the Obama legacy.

The fact that this happens on Labor Day in the U.S. only rubs salt in the wounds of American workers losing their jobs to Chinese slave labor

TEL AVIV – Jew hatred and demonization of Israel are at “the highest level of our lifetimes,” Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations said at a high-level forum on anti-Semitism held on Wednesday at the UN’s headquarters in New York..

Over 1/3 of European Jews are afraid to wear a yarmulke or Star of David in public,” Danny Danon said. “More than half of French Jews have considered emigrating because they don’t feel safe living as Jews in France. Today we hear things about Jews and the Jewish people that we thought belonged to the pages of history. … Anti-Semitism is returning to everyday life without shame.”

Danon also said that social media presents a “new kind of threat” in that anti-Semitism goes global very quickly.

“We are living in a new era and we face a new kind of anti-Semitism,” Danon said. “Using the tools of online social networks to demonize the Jewish people and the Jewish state, this is Anti-Semitism 2.0.”

“The enemies of the Jewish people are using the tools of modern technology to target and harass Jews around the world,” he said, adding that the modern world makes life easier for anti-Semites since “all you need is a wireless connection, a Facebook account, and a deep hatred for the Jewish people.”

“It is more effective than The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” he added.

He said that attacks against Jews online lead directly to attacks against Jews on the street.

“We know from history that during times of crisis, people look for scapegoats,” Danon said. “And time and time again that scapegoat has been the Jewish people. So we have to be proactive, we have to speak out and we have to educate our young people about the dangers of online anti-Semitism. And we also have to be honest. Talking is not enough. We need immediate and concrete action. … Media companies have to take preventative steps.”

Danon slammed some UN member states for expressing openly anti-Semitic sentiments.

“There is a place where some are not ashamed to spread lies and slander about Israel and the Jewish people and you are sitting in it right now, here at the UN,” Danon said.

U.S. Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power also spoke at the forum, asserting that “anti-Semitism poses a threat not only to Jews, but to the principles of pluralism, diversity, and the fundamental freedoms that we hold most dear.”

Power went on to list a series of anti-Semitic attacks that have taken place all around the world this year and said that, in the U.S., Jews and Jewish institutions continue to be the biggest target of religiously motivated hate crimes, according to a recent FBI report.

The American diplomat added that “we must be careful not to label or conflate legitimate criticism of Israel as anti-Semitic.”

“Such unfounded accusations may chill speech, unfairly marginalize those with distinct points of view, and, paradoxically, distract from the much needed efforts to combat such hatred,” she said.

“At the same time, governments and civil society groups – including those that may be critical of Israel’s policies – have a responsibility to swiftly and unequivocally condemn instances in which such criticism crosses over into attacks on the Jewish people, or if it tries to hold all Jews responsible for the policies of the State of Israel.”

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon addressed the forum via video broadcast, calling anti-Semitism “one of the world’s oldest, most pervasive and deadliest forms of hatred.”

“Despite the lessons of history and the horror of the Holocaust, Jews continue to be targeted for murder and abuse solely because they are Jews,” he added.

The day-long forum included addresses from President of the General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft; Canada’s Ambassador to the UN Marc-André Blanchard; the EU’s Ambassador João Vale de Almeida; as well as renowned Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt and representatives of the Anti-Defamation League.

Hillary's Health Concerns Serious, Say Most Doctors Polled By the Association of American Physicians

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Concerns about Hillary Clinton's health are "serious—could be disqualifying for the position of President of the U.S.," say nearly 71% of 250 physicians responding to an informal internet survey by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). About 20% said concerns were "likely overblown, but should be addressed as by full release of medical records." Only 2.7% responded that they were "just a political attack; I have confidence in the letter from her physician and see no cause for concern."

While more than 81% were aware of her history of a concussion, only 59% were aware of the cerebral sinus thrombosis, and 52% of the history of deep venous thrombosis.

More than 78% said the health concerns had received "not enough emphasis" in the media, and only 2.7% that there had been "too much emphasis."

Nearly two-thirds said that a physician who had a concern about a candidate's fitness to serve for health reasons should "make the concerns known to the public." Only 11% said a physician should "keep silent unless he had personally examined the patient," and 10% that the candidate's health was "off limits for public discussion."

Eighty-eight respondents submitted comments. One said that "the public interest will ALWAYS override either privacy rights or rights of self-determination in the case of a presidential candidate." Another mentioned Clinton's "so called loss of memory claimed during her FBI questioning about her email server." Beyond the specific questions, one remarked that "I think that the candidate should be honest with the public about his/her health!" The history of the concussion was concerning: "The public must watch the movie Concussion to realize that such an injury does affect thought process."

A poll of 833 randomly selected registered voters by Gravis Marketing showed that nearly half (49%) were not aware of the "well documented major health issues that Hillary Clinton has." Nearly three-fourths (74%) were unaware of Bill Clinton's statement that Hillary suffered a "terrible" concussion requiring "six months of very serious work to get over." The majority (57%) thought that candidates should release their medical records.

"Both physicians and other voters think that health concerns are relevant when choosing a presidential candidate," states AAPS executive director Jane M. Orient, M.D. "However, more than 40% of physician respondents were unaware of the cerebral sinus thrombosis, and the vast majority of voters were not aware of all of Clinton's problems or their potential serious long-term implications for cognitive function."

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is a national organization representing physicians in virtually all specialties and every state. Founded in 1943, AAPS has the motto "omnia pro aegroto," which means "all for the patient."

Golan Heights Set to Become Flashpoint Between Israel & Hezbollah

Well into its fifth year, the Syrian civil war continues to show no signs of dissipating. While the conflict has drawn in a number of regional and global powers including the U.S., Russia, Turkey and Iran, Israel has largely remained on the sidelines. Yet for the Jewish state, the conflict does have profound consequences, notably from the threat stemming from Iran and its Lebanese terror proxy Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is in the final stages of launching "large-scale" operations in the Quneitra in the Golan Heights region in southern Syria, a Sept. 5 report from the Iranian semi-official Fars News Agency shows.

"The Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters have been working on a joint plan to end militancy in Southern Syria, particularly near the Golan Heights," the report states. "Hezbollah has deployed a large number of its forces at Quneitra passage which has connected the Syrian territories to the occupied Golan."

David Daoud, research analyst at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD), told JNS.org the situation along the Golan Heights was "troubling."

"Ostensibly, the Hezbollah operation is aimed at rooting out Sunni jihadists from the area bordering Quneitra," Daoud said. "Assuming the operation succeeds, it's unlikely Hezbollah and allied forces will simply withdraw from the area. They will take up new positions bordering Israel."

The Golan Heights has long been a flashpoint within the larger Arab-Israeli conflict, owing to its geography sitting high above northern Israel.

After years of Syrian-sponsored terror attacks and threats to Israel's north, Israel gained control of the Golan Heights during the 1967 Six-Day War. After Israel briefly lost the territory during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Israel and Syria established a United Nations-monitored cease-fire line in the region, with Israel taking control of the western two-thirds of the area.

In 1981, Israel essentially annexed the Golan when it extended Israeli civil law to the territory. Now, the Golan is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and tourists, and is famous for its wine production, hiking, and skiing.

Despite being firmly under Israeli control, the Golan Heights has not been immune to fighting in nearby Syria over the course of the civil war. Mortar fire and rockets have sporadically landed in Israeli territory as a result of fighting between factions inside of Syria.

While most of these shells have not been directed against Israel, the Israeli Defense Forces holds the Syrian government responsible and has occasionally hit targets on the Syrian side.

As the chief terror proxy of Iran, Hezbollah has been deeply involved in the Syrian civil war since 2013 where they have fought in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government forces. Hezbollah's decision to involve itself in the neighboring civil war has profound consequences for the terrorist organization both strategically and militarily.

Late last year, it was estimated between 1,300 and 1,500 of its fighters were killed in Syria, according to the Times of Israel. The terror group also lost one of its most senior military commanders, Mustafa Badreddine, under mysterious circumstances at the Damascus airport in May.

More recently, Hezbollah fighters have been heavily involved in operations near Aleppo in northern Syria, where the terror group has sustained significant causalities, with 26 fighters being killed in June alone. Nevertheless, with the support of Iran and Russia, Hezbollah and the Syrian government have made progress against rebel groups near Aleppo.

Mordechai Keder, PhD, a former IDF military intelligence officer, who now serves as a senior lecturer at Bar-Ilan University, told JNS.org that Hezbollah and Iran see Syria as an opportunity to further enhance their regional ambitions.

"Hezbollah and Iran see no future for Syria, which is disintegrating, and decided to do exactly what the others do, take part of Syria for themselves," Kedar said. "The Eastern side of the Golan is on territorial contiguity with Lebanon, so since Hezbollah is on Israel's border with Lebanon, Hezbollah can be also on Israel's border with Syria."

"With the Iranians backing them it is much safer than without Iran," he added.

Hezbollah has significantly bolstered its weapons arsenal since its last conflict with Israel in 2006. According to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Hezbollah went to war with Israel in 2006 with around 13,000 short-range and medium-range rockets, but today "it could have over 100,000 rockets and missiles, including a number of long-range systems as well as systems with improved accuracy, allowing it to strike throughout Israel and with increased precision."

Daoud, of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, said, "Israel is concerned about Hezbollah's build-up in Syria, namely using the chaos of the conflict to acquire so-called 'game-changing weapons,' but also its entrenchment opposite the Israeli-held Golan Heights. Israel calls this it's 'red line' in Syria and has even raised its concerns over this with Moscow."

As such, over the course of the civil war, Israel has also frequently hit targets related to Hezbollah, striking weapons shipments or targeting Hezbollah leaders, in order keep the terror group from using the civil war to further grow its arsenal.

"Israel has repeatedly taken direct action against Hezbollah crossing these "red lines," by striking weapons shipments to the Shiite organization while they are still in Syria," Dauod said. "They have also carried out strikes against Hezbollah and IRGC commanders - like Jihad Mughniyeh, Mohammad Issa and Samir Kuntar, and most likely also Mustafa Badreddine - who were attempting to build a second front against the Israelis in Syria."

While the threat of Hezbollah opening up a second front against Israel in the Golan Heights remains serious, there are also active groups operating in the area, such as the anti-government Free Syrian Army, the Islamic State (Yarmouk Brigade) and the Southern Front.

FDD's Daoud also cautioned that the report of a Hezbollah buildup in the Golan Heights region must also be "treated with skepticism" given the fact that pro-government forces, including Hezbollah, have been tied up as a result of heavy fighting in the Aleppo region.

"Just last month, there was another report that Assad would be sending Hezbollah forces southward," he said. "But with the critical Aleppo operation not proceeding as smoothly as the regime and its allies would like, and with their high casualty rate, it's doubtful they would take away forces from that area to send them southward."

Bundestag member Erika Steinbach and Iranian-born pastor Mahin Mousapour called for much stronger sanctions for Muslims who abuse Christians in Germany at a press conference on Monday.

Highlighting the fact that Christians suffer violence, harassment, and death threats in migrant lodgings, Ms. Mousapour criticised Germany for granting Islam "too much respect." Declaring anti-Christian hate attacks an affront to German values, politician Erika Steinbach advocated the government deport migrants who insult or attack Christians.

At the press conference Ms. Mousapour, who converted to Christianity more than 25 years ago, reported that Christians face various forms of persecution in migrant housing.

Ms. Mousapour warned that Christians living in migrant housing are told they are "impure as a dog" and deserved death for rejecting Islam.

"Toys of Christian children are being destroyed, Christian asylum seekers are told not only to wash their dishes after eating but also that they must clean the entire kitchen as it would otherwise be 'unclean.' Many Muslim asylum seekers call all Christians unclean. Church services are held in secret, bibles and crucifixes have to be hidden," she explained.

Ms. Mousapour, pastor of the Evangelical Free Church, disclosed that even converts who no longer live in migrant housing attract Muslims' ire, and recounted her experience of being threatened at knifepoint on the street.

The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) politician called the anti-Christian hate crimes "horrific attacks on our fundamental values and our Constitution."

"This kind of crime weighs on me more heavily than shoplifting. If we do nothing about it we will lose our foundations in this country," she added.

Ms. Steinbach advocated deportation for Muslims who attack or insult Christian migrants on the basis of their religion.
