According to the annual pre-Rosh Hashana Jewish new year report released by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, Israel's population numbers 7,465,500 with the Jewish population around 5.6 million and the Arab population at 1.5 million. President Shimon Peres, who received the report, said that the data is a product of a very important work - a report that finds Israel's population has been growing at a steady annual rate of 1.8% since 2003.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the NewsWith almost half of the world's Jewish population living in Israel the stage is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
In some 61 years the Jewish population living in Israel is almost half of this world's total Jewish population and is continuing to grow. The latest report from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics indicates that Israel's population is getting younger each year and the future of the Jewish state is somewhat of a youthful one. This latest report released annually just before Rosh Hashana, the Jewish new year, reveals that the growth rate among Jews is still lower than the growth rate of the Arab population living in Israel. The growing Arab population has some Israeli officials worried as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues to go unresolved.
This report is a clear evidence that Bible prophecy is in the process of being fulfilled. 2500 years ago, the ancient Jewish prophets wrote that there would once again be a Jewish state in the last days (Ezekiel 37:7-11). In fact, Ezekiel wrote a number of statements of how this prophetic scenario would be played out. Ezekiel reported that the Lord would find all the Jews wherever they had been scattered and would bring them into the land of their forefathers where the Jews would be very prosperous (Ezekiel 34, 36). In this same section of prophetic Scripture, the prophet also warned of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and an alignment of nations that would move to destroy the Jewish state (Ezekiel 35, 38).
The newly released annual population report of 5.6 million Jews in Israel is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
