On the 40th anniversary of man's first ever walking on the moon, the astronauts who did that are calling for a manned mission to Mars

July 20th, 2009
As the three American astronauts of Apollo 11, the manned spacecraft that landed on the moon July 20, 1969 and then had two of its astronauts, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin, walk on the moon's surface, as these space explorers gathered to remember that one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind, they all have called for a manned mission to Mars in the not too distant future.
Buzz Aldrin, the Apollo 11 veteran and the second man to set foot on the moon after Neil Armstrong, Aldrin says that America could facilitate its international partners in exploring the moon and at the same time, the United States could develop systems for even more ambitious missions in space.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the NewsThe 40th anniversary of man landing on the moon and then walking on the moon's surface should remind us of the glory of the Lord and His direction in history and prophecy - the future.
One of the greatest achievements in science, if not the greatest ever, man walking on the moon, is or should be a reminder that God created the heavens and the Earth and all that is in them and then gave man intelligence to explore His creation. It was on the 4th day of creation, a 24 hour day, that God created the moon (Genesis 1:16) and that same verse reveals that the Lord also created the Sun and the stars also. However, these space explorations have been a search to discover the origins of man and to see if there is any other intelligent beings in outer space.
The Bible tells us that God created the heavens and then He made the Earth to be inhabited by man. That is the only inhabited place in His creation (Isaiah 45:18). On this broadcast, I deal with current events that are setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. If we do not take the account creation found in Genesis 1 as literal, then we have no basis to take God's prophetic word as literal either. Both the creation story and the prophetic passages of God's word can be taken literal and they are true. It is an absolute - Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
