Hassan Nasrallah, Hizbullah secretary-general said last Friday,"No one has the authority to concede a grain of earth, wall or stone of the holy land". He continued, there is no place for Israel in the Middle East. Jerusalem and Palestine, from sea to the river, belong to the Palestinian people, the Arabs and the Muslims, and no one has authority to concede a grain of earth.
It is obvious that whatever concessions Israel may make to the Arabs, nothing will change, the Arab war of attrition against Israel will continue until there is not a living Jew in the Mid-East. The truth is that even as the concessions Israel made in giving up the Gaza only resulted in a more stragic position for Hamas to attack Israel. So also any yielding up of the West Bank or East Jerusalem or the Golan will also just give Israel's enemies a greater foothold to drive Israel into the sea.
Ahmed Qureia, senior negotiator for the PA, said on Tueday that violence would erupt if talks with Israel are stalled during the current transitional government. That amounts to total intimidation, surrender all we demand or violence will erupt, and they do demand all.
Hamas, some months ago, sent a letter to the UN that stated that their was no place for Israel in the Mid-East, the very same statement that Nasrallah made this week. This all to the backdrop of Amahdinejad's constant threats that Israel is soon to be anihalated.
The amazing thing about all of this is that what we are hearing is an echoeing of what others have shouted for 2000 years now.
All of those who have wreaked havoc among the Jews down over the long centuries are all long since dead and buried, but God's chosen people are prospering even under the same old persecution. God's word tells us of one great final time of tribulation and then the kindom will come for Israel. The great king will rule the world from Jerusalem, and Israel will be the head and not the tail of the nations.
As you hear the great swelling words of the enemies of God's people, turn to Psalm 2;3-4, "Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.(The Arab enemies of Israel) He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision".
We have read the last chapter of the book.
