Under Venezuela's socialist policies, its citizens are starving, but what is happening in the country is not being viewed as a warning to the Democratic 'Squad,' instead, they continue to push socialism onto Americans.Earlier this year, a Venezuelan, who escaped the country in his teens, revealed the reality of the socialism and the Maduro regime, warning anyone supporting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal to re-think.Daniel Di Martin described how his family went from thriving in the upper-middle-class down to making a mere two dollars a day.“By the time I left Venezuela in 2016 we had a blackout every week -- and I was privileged,” Di Martino told Martha MacCallum.

“I hear what I heard from the socialist regime in Venezuela, ‘everything is alright.’”
“People are starving in Venezuela because of policies such as the one that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez [supported] in her Green New Deal, which in reality is just the ‘red new deal’ which is just a socialist wishlist, would destroy the U.S. economy and lead us into the path of Venezuela.”One Venezuelan woman warned Americans about the dangers of socialist policies.

“I would tell the Americans not to commit to that madness because that is all a lie,” she told journalist and documentary creator Ami Horowitz in an interview.“They lied to us. We don’t have anything to eat. Crime has taken over.”First, they came for the guns.In 2012, Venezuela introduced a ban on privately-owned guns, stripping citizens of their rights to bear arms.

Under the direction of then-President Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan National Assembly enacted the “Control of Arms, Munitions and Disarmament Law,” with the explicit aim to “disarm all citizens.”The law took effect in 2013, with only minimal pushback from some pro-democracy opposition figures, banning the legal, commercial sale of guns and munitions to all - except government entities.Citizens were asked to surrender their weapons, and those who refused had them confiscated by force.

In April, Neon Nettle reported the rolling national blackouts in Venezuela which left millions of citizens without clean water after the country's power grid has collapsed.With Venezuelans already living in darkness after the state-controlled electrical system collapsed, millions of people, residents of Caracas and other major cities whose water systems are tied to the power grid, are now left entirely without clean water.With all that said, watch what some members of the “Squad,” like Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, say about socialist policies.
