China pledges further opening as leaders scramble for free trade
Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged to open the economy further on Saturday as leaders of Asia-Pacific countries sought new free-trade options following Donald Trump's election... All eyes were on China at this year's APEC summit in Lima, Peru just over a week after Trump's surprise victory in the United States dashed hopes of the largest-ever U.S.-proposed trade deal, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), coming to fruition.  

France reportedly backing out of Mideast peace summit following Trump's election
France has reportedly decided to back out of a planned international Israeli-Palestinian peace summit in light of the election of Donald Trump as the president of the United States, western diplomatic sources told Arab media. A western official told Ynet that French President Francois Hollande has said in different forums last week that Paris would have a hard time convening the summit in light of the administration change in the US.  

FBI Warns Of Thanksgiving Terror Potential

Mystery sphere spotted zooming past sun by NASA satellites - sparking conspiracy theories over UFOs
UFO hunters perked up when NASA satellites appeared to capture a huge unidentified object during its mission to observe the Sun. The UFOMania channel posted this video made from images taken by NASA's STEREO satellites that show a large sphere passing ahead. Other frames in the series do not feature the Sun-like sphere, nor does any image from October's captures from the mission.  

Facebook fake news: Zuckerberg details plans to combat problem
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has outlined plans for how he hopes to combat fake news on the site. Facebook became mired in controversy after some users complained fake news changed the outcome of the US election. Mr Zuckerberg posted details of several projects to "take misinformation seriously", including methods for stronger detection and verification.  

Angela Merkel to stand for fourth term
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she will run for a fourth term in office, sources in her conservative party have said. Mrs Merkel, 62, is expected to formally announce her intention later on Sunday at the headquarters of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). General elections are expected in Germany in autumn next year.  

Abbas advisor to 'Post': Fatah will activate mass popular resistance
Fatah plans to adopt a strategy to strengthen popular resistance against Israel’s military rule at an upcoming leadership meeting, Husam Zomlot, Palestinian Authority President Abbas’s adviser for strategic affairs, told The Jerusalem Post. “We plan to activate fully popular resistance at the Fatah Congress,” Zomlot said in a meeting at the Grand Park Hotel on Wednesday.  

Trump's CIA pick tweets plan to "roll back" Iran nuke deal
President-elect Trump's pick to head the CIA, Rep. Mike Pompeo, tweeted his intention to 'roll back' the US nuclear deal with Iran, while also referring to the Islamic Republic as 'the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism.' Reuters

The aircraft – usually launched at the outbreak of a nuclear attack - was spotted circling by thousands of US citizens on the ground. The unbranded plane travelled across several states and changed directions numerous times, prompting a Twitter frenzy of conspiracy theories.

Chief Sephardi Rabbi of Jerusalem Shlomo Amar spoke out harshly against Reform Jews and the LGBT community in an interview with Israel Hayom's weekend supplement this week. He went as far as to call Reform Jews "evil" and homosexuals "a cult of abomination," prompting LGBT community leaders to launch complaints with the police for incitement.
