Government Workers Now Outnumber Manufacturing Workers by 9,932,000
Government employees in the United States outnumber manufacturing employees by 9,932,000, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Federal, state and local government employed 22,213,000 people in August, while the manufacturing sector employed 12,281,000.  

Jack Ma: Wars start when trade stops
Jack Ma has a warning for those who see globalization as a problem: When trade stops, wars can follow. "We should keep on going along the path of globalization," Ma said Friday in Hangzhou, China. "Globalization is good... when trade stops, war comes." The executive chairman of Alibaba (BABA, Tech30) said he hopes the anti-globalization fervor...will ease after U.S. elections in November.  

Soros Foundation Eyed Stronger Internet Regulation in TPP Negotiations
A leaked document from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations reveals the organization was seeking to influence the positions of Latin American governments in negotiating the Transpacific Partnership Agreement... Soros’s organization does not appear to support the TPP outright, but expressed interest in influencing the sweeping internationalist treaty, including the treaty’s positions on Internet regulation.  

Syrians leave besieged Damascus suburb of Muadhamiya
Three hundred people are leaving a besieged rebel-held suburb of Syria's capital, Damascus, as part of what the government has described as an amnesty. Buses came to Muadhamiya on Friday to pick up displaced residents of nearby Darayya, another rebel bastion that was evacuated after surrendering last week. They will go to a temporary housing area in government-controlled Harjaleh.  

Migrant crisis: Hungary police recruit 'border-hunters'
The Hungarian police are advertising for 3,000 "border-hunters", who will reinforce up to 10,000 police and soldiers patrolling a razor-wire fence built to keep migrants out. The new recruits, like existing officers, will carry pistols with live ammunition, and have pepper spray, batons, handcuffs and protective kit.  

Paris climate deal: US and China announce ratification
The US and China - together responsible for 40% of the world's carbon emissions - have now both ratified the Paris global climate agreement. After arriving with other leaders of G20 nations for a summit in the city of Hangzhou, Mr Obama said: "History will judge today's effort as pivotal." CO2 emissions are the driving force behind climate change.

Commenting on the upcoming election and the state of the nation, Reverend Franklin Graham said America is "increasingly hostile and intolerant" of its Christian and Biblical foundation, and with President Barack Obama leading "the fight to promote ungodly sexual behavior" over the last eight years, there now is an "all-out war on religious liberty" in the United States.  

Israel to allow ICC visit on Gaza war mission
Israel is to host a working group of the International Criminal Court as it weighs whether to probe alleged war crimes in the 2014 Gaza war, an Israeli official said Friday. The group's arrival "shortly" will be unprecedented, he told AFP on condition of anonymity, saying the visit was intended to show the ICC team "how the Israeli judicial system works".

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte declared a "state of lawlessness" Saturday after suspected Abu Sayyaf extremists detonated a bomb that killed 14 people and wounded about 70 in his southern hometown.

Fleeing ISIS fighters tried to raze an Iraqi town to the ground by flooding the streets with oil and setting it alight. The murderous jihadists had been forced to retreat from Qayyara by Iraqi soldiers, in the latest US-backed push towards Mosul in the north of the country. 

New Emails Show Clinton Foundation Donors Lobbied Huma For Diplomatic Passports
New emails released by Judicial Watch in connection with its probe of the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation indicate Clinton Foundation donors lobbied senior Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin for diplomatic passports. Abedin responded positively to the donor inquiries, according to the email. The donors in question include Doug Band and Justin Cooper.
