Into the Fray: On the cusp of carnage?
This is not an article for those of weak stomach. It is not for those who wish to be reassured that, in the end, things will be “okay.” It offers no glimmer of optimism, nor any comforting prospect of some happy ending.

Alaska's most active volcano is spitting lava into the air and producing an ash cloud at low elevations. He said there was "no question" over his commitment to Asia-Pacific allies, referring to US efforts to strengthen strategic ties with the region.

G20: David Cameron warns Russia of more Ukraine sanctions
Russia could face further sanctions unless it stops "destabilising" Ukraine, David Cameron has said. Speaking at the G20 summit in Brisbane, Mr Cameron said there would "have to be a very different relationship" between Europe and Russia if "we continue to see Russian troops" inside Ukraine. After making the comments, the UK PM met Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The US House of Representatives has passed a bill to approve the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline. The legislation will now be put to a vote in the Senate next week, where its prospects are unclear. A neo-Nazi party from the city of Dortmund has reportedly demanded the city's mayor give them a list of all city's Jews, in an event eerily reminiscent of darker days in Germany's past.

Let the 'stupid American voter' grownups handle this
no group of unelected Obama Administration bureaucrats can think their way through the millions and millions of decisions that millions and millions of individuals make daily about their own health care – individuals acting in their own economic interest, and ultimately in the best interest of their own health. If the government controlled toasters – claiming toast to be a right of all Americans – the same thing would happen.

The U.S. is putting fake cell towers in planes to spy on people
The U.S. Department of Justice is putting devices that emulate cellphone towers in Cessna aircraft and flying them around the country to track the locations of cell phones, a practice that targets criminal suspects but... also affect thousands of U.S. citizens, according to a news report Thursday.

Republicans have a responsibility to the American people to pass a spending bill that would block funding for anything involving executive amnesty, Arizona Rep. Matt Salmon said Friday on Newsmax TV's "America's Forum." "It will stop him dead in his tracks if our conference decides to put on the spending bill that the president has to have by the end of the year that no money in that spending bill can go for these purposes, for this executive amnesty. If he does that, he's in direct violation of the law," Salmon said.

UK’s Yachad, Jerusalem, and the consequences for Judaism
The Yachad platform of supporting a Two-State Solution is not a fluid amorphous position. The majority of Israelis are pro-peace and support the rights of Palestinians to a state of their own. Even our Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, publicly supports the notion of Two States for Two Peoples. The problem is agreeing where that Palestinian state should be based. It is here that the likes of Yachad become dangerous mixers in a delicate battle for rights and legitimacy.

Staying on the theme of agreements with other countries that mean nothing, remember that cease-fire back in September that was supposed to take care of hostilities in Ukraine between the Russians and the Ukranian resistance?
