The current Israeli government of Ehud Olmert has sought to appease terrorist at every turn. Today, September 29, the Israeli government has agreed to exchangethe mostviolant of terrorists, even by mideast standards, for the dead bodies of two Israeli soldiers, that is appeasement.
The recent ceasefire with Hamas has been violated over and over again by Hamas. Israel's commitment is to open the check points if the conditions were met by Hamas to cease mortar fire and missile attacks. Inspite of the violations by Hamas, Israel has opened the check points. This sends a signal to Israel's enemies that Israel will not stand up for herself, that she is a pushover. That is appeasement.
In order to prevent terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria, Israel has set up roadside check points to keep terrorists at bay. In order to appease the Palestinians and the U.S. Secretary of State, Israel has dismantled many of these check points, each time terrorists come in and kill and maim Israeli citizens. That is appeasement.
Recently, Syria was found to be preparing nuclear facilaties in order to destroy Israel. Syria has been working with Iran to wage war agaist Israel through the proxie of Hezbollah. So what does Ehud Olmert do? He offers to surrender the Golan Heights to Syria to enable Syria to have an advantages position to attack Israel. That is appeasement.
The present government of Isreal has made it clear to the terrorists that persistence and murder pays.
The more Israel gives in to appeasement, the more her enemies demand and the bolder they become. Instead of faith in God, Israel's leaders are moved by fear and unbelief.
Israel is becoming increasingly more desperate, it seems she is being prepared to grasp at a peace treaty, even though it will be a false peace treaty.
