“World Parliamentarians Call for Scrutiny of UNRWA”
by Arutz Sheva
October 11th, 2014

The Israel Allies Foundation (IAF) on Sunday will hold a meeting of parliamentarians demanding an investigation of the UN and UNRWA's management, after Hamas terrorist rockets were found numerous times in institutes of the organization in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge.

The meeting in Jerusalem will call for more careful scrutiny of the funding for UNRWA from its international funders, and will be attended by around 20 senior parliament members from 16 world nations.

On Sunday a tour will be held in Ma'ale Adumim to the east of Jerusalem at an aluminum factory where 200 Jewish and Arab workers work together, as well as a tour of the Psagot Winery and debate on the international boycott on Judea and Samaria industries.

On Monday, a parliamentarian panel will be held on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's reported - and immediately denied - plan to widen Gaza into Sinai. Also a speech by President Reuven Rivlin and Jewish Congress president Ron Lauder will be heard at a meal for 5,000 supporters of Israel from 90 countries at Jerusalem's new Payis Arena.

On Tuesday, a press conference will be held at the Mamila Hotel, in which the parliamentarians will present Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a letter from their countries calling for the tightening of oversight on the money sent to UNRWA.
