Palestinian Authority sources in Cairo said that “The problems in negotiations did not arise following the launching of rockets into Israel. The problems in the talks are significant. We cannot at this time reach an agreement. The talks reached a dead end.”
The sources indicated that “The ‘Palestinian’ delegation is demanded that it be overtly stated that a port will be established in Gaza and that details will be ironed out at a later date, but Israel hinged such a matter on the demilitarization of the region. Any chances of reaching a lasting ceasefire in the near future are slim to none.”
