King Abdullah of Jordan and Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, spoke on the phone and discussed efforts to reach a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

The two agreed that a gesture should be formulated for the next step with a purpose of negotiating a permanent agreement, Kol Israel radio reports.
