"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created him". - Gen. 1:27
The natural man is a contradiction, a paradox, a puzzle which defies reason and understanding. While his creator tells man he was originally created in the very image of God, man will turn heaven and earth upside down to prove that he evolved from a bit of green slime on a tepid pond and by gradual stages evolved into a monkey. We frankly admit that people who believe this theory are surely "making monkeys out of themselves", But the pointed poem which follows wiil prove that monkeys have more sense than those who accept the "monkey story". M.R.D.
Three monkeys sat in a coconut tree Discussing things as they're said to be.
Said one to the other, "now listen, you, There's a certain rumor that can't be true--
That man descended from our noble race-- The very idea is a disgrace!
No monkey ever deserted his wife, Starved her babies and ruined her life,
And you've never known a mother monk To leave her babies with others to bunk,
Or pass them on from one to another Till they scarcely know who is there Mother.
Here's another thing a monk won't do, Go out at night and get in a stew,
Or use a gun or club or knife To take some other monkey's life.
Yes, a man descended, the ornery cuss, But, brother, he didn't descend from us! - Anon
