“A Vibrant Dynamic Church”

FIVE THINGS THAT MAKE A SPIRITUALLY DYNAMIC CHURCH
- Accurate, thorough, faithful, Spirit-filled, exposition of the Word of God. The Word of God feeds the soul and brings spirirual satisfaction and growth, and it creates a greater appetite for the Word, and makes vibrant, dynamic christians 1Peter 2:2, 5:2a)
- Regular answers to prayer in individual lives and in the life of the Church
Answered prayer causes joy and rejoicing and builds the faith of all. (John 14:13) - The continual testifying of God’s power in the life of believers
The sharing of what God has done in a life will encourage others and give hope and anticipation that they too can experience God’s power in their lives. (1 Thess 5:18) - The salvation of souls that are added to the local church
When souls are saved, it brings joy and rejoicing to the whole church and it stimulates others to witness. (Psalm 126:6) - Where these abound worship will not need to be orchestrated, but will flow out of grateful, joyful hearts.
Where these are found, the church will be vibrant and dynamic. Where these are not found, the easiest way seems to be to substitute other things. Then the church will no longer be the church that the Lord intends it to be. It will be a church on the road to the graveyard.
The Purpose Driven Church
Dr. Warren stated, May 23, 2005, at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life: the word fundamentalist actually comes from a document in the 1920s called “The five fundamentals of the Faith: and it is a very legalistic, narrow view of Christianity!”
The Five Fundamentals of the Faith: (to which Dr. Warrren objected)
- The inerrancy and full authority of the Bible.
- The virgin birth and full deity of Jesus Christ
- The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
- Christ’s atoning, vicarious death for the sins of the world
- The literal second coming of Jesus.
Rick Warren, in rejecting these five fundamentals is rejecting the very essence of Christianity.
