Chinese Scientists Invent Lightbulbs That Emit Wi-Fi
A group of Chinese scientists at Shanghai’s Fudan University have a bright idea: A lightbulb that produces its own Wi-Fi signal. According to Xinhua, the technology is called Li-Fi, and the prototype actually works better than the average connection in China. As many as four computers placed near a Li-Fi bulb can connect to the net, using light frequencies rather than the usual radio waves.

Assassination pushes Libya towards civil war two years after Gaddafi death
Libya marks the second anniversary of the death of Muammar Gaddafi with the country on the brink of a new civil war and fighting raging in the eastern city of Benghazi, birthplace of its Arab spring revolution. Third earthquake in days shakes northern Israel
The third earthquake in Israel in recent days was felt in the Tiberias area on Sunday morning. According to initial reports, the earthquake was 3.6 on the Richter scale, and was felt east of Kibbutz Ginossar. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

Car bomb, clashes kill over 30 near Syrian capital
Syrian rebels blew up an army checkpoint outside Damascus on Saturday and more than 30 combatants from both sides died in the blast and ensuing clashes, a monitoring group said. The pro-opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 15 rebels and at least 16 soldiers were killed. The British-based Observatory said the checkpoint explosion, near the suburbs of Mleiha and Jaramana, was detonated by a suicide bomber from the al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front.
