The State Department: US is suspending hundreds of millions in military and other aid to Egypt, a substantial portion of the regular annual $1.5 billion due this year, as well as the delivery of four fighter jets and other large weapons systems. Washington acted after more than 60 Muslim Brotherhood protesters were killed in clashes with military forces on the Oct. 6 anniversary of the Yom Kippur war with Israel and the announcement that deposed President Mohamad Morsi would go on trial on Nov. 4.
