Bizarre, Giant Tubular Cloud Rolling Across the Sea

Seymour Hersh on Obama, NSA and the 'pathetic' American media
Seymour Hersh has got some extreme ideas on how to fix journalism – close down the news bureaus of NBC and ABC, sack 90% of editors in publishing and get back to the fundamental job of journalists which, he says, is to be an outsider. It doesn't take much to fire up Hersh, the investigative journalist who has been the nemesis of US presidents since the 1960s and who was once described by the Republican party as "the closest thing American journalism has to a terrorist".

NSA maps some Americans’ social connections, says report

NOAA Pushes Humberto To Hurricane Status Without Proof To Fulfill Global Warming Agenda
Hurricane Humberto, or so they say, has formed out in the Eastern Atlantic. TheWeatherSpace.com will not recognize this as a Hurricane due to the methods used by NOAA to upgrade it. A scale called the Dvorak Scale was used, which measures satellite patterns to determine the strength of the system. On the day of the record break for no Hurricanes, NOAA ruined this without hard evidence. The method is basically downright ludicrous being that it only measures structure and intensity on infrared. It does not have hard evidence from boats, buoys, or recon data to support any decision to upgrade this from a Tropical Storm to an 80 mph Hurricane.

At least 22 dead as powerful new earthquake hits Pakistan
A powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit southwest Pakistan on Saturday, killing at least 22 people in a region already devastated by a tremor which left more than 300 people dead this week, local officials said. The new quake struck the remote district of Awaran, at a depth of 14 kilometres at 12:34 pm (0734 GMT) according to the US Geological Survey.

New program takes on Israeli ignorance of US Jewry
The lion’s share of their time in the US, as always, will be spent not with foreigners, but with Jews — American Jews. When influential Jews from the “east” visit New York, they are feted by equally influential, or simply wealthy, counterparts in Midtown restaurants, boardrooms and swank Central Park apartments. For the Americans, the meetings are a chance to show they care. For the Israelis, they are something far more practical.

Bolton: Iranian President Playing Obama to Buy Time to Build Bomb
Iran's new president, Hasan Rouhani, is telling President Barack Obama what he wants to hear while buying time to build a nuclear bomb, says John Bolton, former U.N. ambassador and current senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. "Just as Vladimir Putin had played him for a fool over Syria, Mr. Obama was initially snubbed by Iranian President Hasan Rouhani despite frantic White House efforts to produce a handshake," Bolton writes in a Sunday op-ed in The Wall Street Journal.

Netanyahu’s mission: Setting parameters for Obama’s Iran diplomacy
It’s too late to stop the US president engaging with Rouhani; what the PM will attempt is to ensure that Iran cannot access anything more than ‘peaceful nuclear energy’

‘A Little 1940s Germany’: Parents Livid After Middle Schoolers Watch Video of Celebrities Who ‘Pledge’ Support for Obama — and Ask Viewers to Do Likew
The district wouldn’t disclose whose idea it was to show the “I Pledge” video to students, KMSP reports, but people on the streets weren’t thrilled by offering the video’s message to middle schoolers. “It looks a little 1940s Germany,” says one interviewee, who agrees that its essentially propaganda. Another adds, “It doesn’t seem right.”

Saturday Night Live Mocks Obamacare in Hilarious Skit
Saturday Night Live turned the tables on President Barack Obama and devoted an entire skit last night aimed at mocking his signature healthcare law. The roughly seven-minute skit depicted an actor playing the president delivering a speech dedicated to showcasing the supposed benefits of the healthcare law. However, as individuals were called up one-by-one to testify in favor of Obamacare, they instead delivered some surprising news.

A top climate scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology lambasted a new report by the UN’s climate bureaucracy... “I think that the latest IPCC report has truly sunk to level of hilarious incoherence,” Dr. Richard Lindzen told Climate Depot, a global warming skeptic news site. “They are proclaiming increased confidence in their models as the discrepancies between their models and observations increase.”

The Coming Common Core Disaster
The new national education standards adopted by 45 States and the District of Columbia and now slipping into America’s schools are a collectivist’s dream. Called Common Core, it is an attempt to create a Federally controlled education system designed to turn children into mind-numbed drones devoid of imagination and inculcated with a progressive culture of redistributionist economics, social justice, the mainstreaming of perverted lifestyles, secular humanism and radical environmentalism.

US govt shutdown likely over Obamacare
The US government is on the brink of shutting down after the House of Representatives approved a Republican bill seeking to delay President Barack Obama's health care law. Congress now has less than 48 hours to strike a deal that keeps the government open, but the ping-ponging of legislation is making that unlikely.

Iran is biggest test for Obama's often rocky ties with Netanyahu
Six months after President Barack Obama eased a strained relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a visit to Israel dubbed "Operation Desert Schmooze," the two leaders now face the biggest test of whether they can work together - and the stakes are higher than ever. A diplomatic charm offensive by new Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has suddenly opened up a gap between the White House and Netanyahu's government. How they respond could have far-reaching implications for their political legacies as well as the future stability of the Middle East.
