Russian scientists: Earth can expect a new ice agel
“Everything on Earth is cyclical — a warm period is followed by a cold one, and vice versa. We are currently in a warm period. However, unlike past periods, it is advancing too quickly. Over the last 100 years, we have seen a drastic migration of animals and plants to the North.” Thus every year, trees are rising by about 1.5 feet toward the peaks of the northern mountains, and they are encroaching on the tundra.

US Embassy Closings Expose Barack Obama’s Lies About Al-Qaeda & Benghazi
How is it that Al Qaeda, the group that Barack Obama stated many times during his re-election campaign were on the run and nearly wiped out, have now, just some 12 months or so later, bloomed into a huge threat that is not isolated but now encompasses nearly the entire Middle East? Obama did state that Al Qaeda was on “a path to defeat” just this past May, and yet it seems they are now powerful enough to cause the closing of scores of U.S. facilities in the very places Obama had stated they were on the run in! Just how can that be? Could that be because Obama is weak?
George Soros-funded Foundations Contribute to Anti-Israel Groups
The report by NGO Monitor tracks the finances of the Open Society Foundations (OSF), which are headquartered in New York City and provide grants to numerous domestic and international programs—including several in the Middle East. OSF’s global network spent almost $910 million in 2012. Several of the OFS-sponsored groups support boycott, divestment, and sanctions campaigns against Israel, equate Israel’s settlements in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip with South Africa’s former apartheid regime, and in some cases deny Israel’s right to exist.

Japan says Fukushima leak worse than thought, government joins clean-up
Highly radioactive water from Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plant is pouring out at a rate of 300 tonnes a day, officials said on Wednesday, as Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ordered the government to step in and help in the clean-up. The admission indicates that two and a half years after the plant was hit by a huge earthquake and tsunami, plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco), which only recently admitted water had leaked at all, has yet come to grips with the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl.

Obama urges 'wind down' of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
US President Barack Obama has urged a revamp of the housing market that would "wind down" government-owned mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Speaking in Arizona, Mr Obama said action was needed to ensure that the rebounding US property market does not simply "re-inflate the housing bubble". He wants to replace the two lenders with a system leaving the onus of loan risk primarily on the private sector.

Raising More Benghazigate Questions
Jake Tapper peeked recently into that dark room wherein the Obama Administration and its allies in the MSM have consigned the Benghazigate Scandal. Tapper's was the first and only major report to appear in the MSM, and CNN will air a special on Benghazigate tonight at 10:00 PM EDT. It should be a "must watch" for anyone interested in understanding the event, its genesis, and its consequences. The MSM (except in a blog here) has not touched Tapper's report, and the special may serve as a second prod to get its members off their collective duffs. One little fact Tapper's in piece is being said to have been unreported earlier other than in alternative media: that a total of seven persons were injured in the attacks.

Ted Koppel: America's Chronic Overreaction to Terrorism
June 28, 2014, will mark the 100th anniversary of what is arguably the most eventful terrorist attack in history. That was the day that Gavrilo Princip, a Bosnian Serb, shot and killed the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne. Terrorism, after all, is designed to produce overreaction. It is the means by which the weak induce the powerful to inflict damage upon themselves—and al Qaeda and groups like it are surely counting on that as the centerpiece of their strategy.
