The Egyptian army has finally taken a stand in favor of the opposition. Army chief Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi Monday afternoon issued a 48-hourultimatum for the “politicians” to meet the “demands of the people.” He said the politicians must agree to an inclusive roadmap for the way ahead.
Egypt's ministers of tourism, environment, communication and legal affairs earlier tendered their resignations on Monday a day after massive protests against President Mohamed Morsi swept the country, a senior government official told AFP. The four handed in their letters of resignation together to Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, the official said.
