“The Believers Refuge”
by Art Sadlier
June 5th, 2013

"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them" (Deuteronomy 33:27).

When the road becomes rocky and you think the roof is caving in, it time to claim the promises of God.

"God has not said lifes pattern is one we'll understand, But He has promised He will keep us in the hollow of His hand.

He has not promised days serene and free from all alarms, But He has said that underneath us are the everlasting arms.

God has not promised mountain heights as on through life we go, But He has promised to be with us in the valleys dark and low!" (unknown)

I have been on the mountain top and I have been in the valley. I like the moutain top experience, but it is the valley that the Lord has sought to conform me more to the image of Christ. It is there that eternal rewards can be won.

"In the common round of duty lift up thy heart in praise; For the Lord hath surely promised strength for all thy days." (unknown).

All of God's children have to walk through the valley, if you haven't been there, if you are a child and not a bastard, you will experience it.

"There is a place of safe retreat, when shadows of life hang low; Where rest and peace and comfort meet; Tis' ours to learn, Tis ours to know the everlasting arms."(unknown)
