The Jewish people have longed for their Temple to be rebuilt. In an article about the rebuilding of the Temple, Hassidic writer and publisher Mordechai Housman, describes the first and primary obstacle as being political, and second being safety reasons due to Muslims. If a significant Muslim leader would declare that Solomon’s Temple should be rebuilt, then if the Muslim community would follow, it is likely the Jewish people would jump at the opportunity and be able to overcome whatever ceremonial obstacles also lie in the path.

Arequipa volcano in pre-eruption, Peruvian scientists warn
Peruvian scientists have warned that Arequipa’s Sabancaya Volcano is currently in a pre-eruptive stage. According to Domingo Ramos, head of volcano monitoring at Peru's Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute (Ingemmet), Sabancaya’s activity has led the agency to issue a yellow alert.

Iceland earthquakes prompt warning near Hekla volcano
Vidir Reynisson, the department manager for civil protection, said Tuesday that a swarm of earthquakes prompted the warning but are not necessarily a sign of pending eruption. Scientists worry that Hekla is overdue for an eruption; in recent decades it has erupted roughly every 10 years, most recently in 2000.

Over the last few weeks, many people have been noticing a sharp increase in earthquakes under El Hierro in the Canary Islands. If you recall, in 2010-12, the volcanic island was the home of an offshore submarine eruption that produced some stunning drifts of volcanic tephra and floating “coconuts” of inflated sediment coated in lava. That eruption (in the broadest sense) lasted until March 2012 and since then, beyond some minor earthquake swarms that didn’t lead to any new eruptive activity, life has gone back to normal on El Hierro.

A wildfire raging out of control in Australia's Victoria state has burned at least two homes and injured four people including three firefighters, according to local media. The fire has so far burned about 2965 acres of land near the Australian town of Dereel, west of Melbourne, and the Country Fire Authority has issued an emergency warning for the area.

An American state has passed the country's strictest abortion law, ruling that no foetus may be terminated once a heartbeat has been detected in a move that sets up a legal challenge to the landmark "Roe v Wade" Supreme Court decision... The-so called "heartbeat" bill, which was signed into law by...North Dakota's governor Jack Dalrymple on Tuesday, bans abortion from as early as six weeks, and make no exceptions for rape or genetic abnormalities...

Strong earthquake sways buildings throughout Taiwan, kills 1, injures at least 19
The Central Weather Bureau said the magnitude-6.1 earthquake was felt throughout the island. Buildings swayed in the capital Taipei, and sections of the high-speed rail were suspended from service to be inspected for damage.

The US Geological Survey said the quake was centered six miles west of Pinotepa Nacional on the Pacific Coast, and 227 miles south-southeast of Mexico City. The earthquake struck at 7:04am local time (1:04pm GMT) and was 20.5 miles deep. A second quake shook the region a few minutes later.

China and Brazil sign $30bn currency swap agreement
China and Brazil have signed a currency swap deal, designed to safeguard against future global financial crises. The pact, first announced last year, will allow their central banks to swap local currencies worth up to 190bn yuan or 60bn reais ($30bn; £20bn). Officials said this will ensure smooth bilateral trade, regardless of global financial conditions.

North Korea says it is cutting a military hotline with South Korea, amid high tension on the peninsula. The hotline is used to facilitate the travel of South Korean workers to a joint industrial complex in Kaesong.
