The Coming World Church
John tells us in Revelation that the Antichrist will come to power in union with a great world church, counterfeit Christianity. John says, “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast,” Revelation 17:3. This is union of political power under Antichrist with a great world church.
The final preparations for that union are now under way. For nearly one hundred years we have witnessed the Ecumenical movement gradually bringing all of Christendom together.
In recent decades we have watched evangelicals move away from fundamentalism toward ecumenism and Rome.
Rick Warren has suggested that evangelicals be reconciled to the mainline protestant denominations. Warren has unveiled a new reformation for Christianity, a new reformation for the 21st century. He has a peace plan for the world. His goal is to mobilize one billion foot soldiers to promote peace. Rick Warren’s vision is to bring peace to the world through a world church.
Before you say, “what does it matter what Rick Warren thinks and does?” you must understand this. 400,000 pastors and religious leaders have attended his seminars. Nearly 100,000 pastors each week receive his emails, through which he molds their thinking and even gives them their weekly sermon outline. He calls it “church in a box”.
