“The Great Last Days Apostasy is Upon Us”
by Art Sadlier
August 1st, 2010

Our Lord warned us that the greatest sign of the nearness of His return would be a great apostasy, a great turning away from the faith. Those days are upon us now. All around us are New Evangelical Purpose Driven Churches. Churches who have bowed down to the world and who exist to draw the world into the church by being like the world.

In the 1980’s Rick Warren went to California, to an area where there was a large population of unchurched people. He mailed out thousands of questionnaires, asking the question,” What kind of church would you attend”. Then he established a church designed by the desires of the unsaved. He asked the congregation to write down the call letters of the radio station they listened to the most. The majority listened to a light rock radio station. The music style of the church was established by the unsaved congregation who designed the church. He brought the unsaved into the church on their own terms.

At the close of the service cards were handed out asking everyone to check one of the boxes on the card. Two of the several options were, “I am a Christian” and “I am beginning my spiritual journey”, presto a check mark and you are in! Hundreds were added to the church each service, who wouldn’t be happy to get in on such a deal? The entertainment and music brought them back. The church grew rapidly, by dozens, then hundreds and finally thousands. There were programs for each group: singles, families, teens, children, sports, games and movies, you name they had it.

The problem is that the Church is a group of saved people who are called out of the world. They are called out of the world to be separate from the world, the world’s practices, and the world’s life style. They are called to be different in their manner of life.

Separation from the world is the very essence of true Christianity:

* “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:17-18.

* “For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.” Hebrews 13:11-13.

* “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:15-17.

* “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4.

* “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” John 17:15-17.

* “And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.” Ezekiel 11:12.

This departure from God’s plan and purpose for the church is apostasy and that apostasy grew as time passed. Rick Warren went on to say that the, “Five Fundamentals of the Christian Faith” are a narrow and legalistic document. These are the same five fundamentals which are the irreducible core of Christianity.

THE FIVE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE FAITH to which Dr. Warren objected are:

1. The inerrancy and full authority of the Bible;

2. The virgin birth and full deity of Jesus Christ;

3. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead;

4. Jesus Christ’s atoning, vicarious death for the sins of the world;

5. The literal second coming of Jesus Christ.

Rick Warren, in rejecting these five fundamentals is rejecting the very core of Christianity.

On May 23, 2005, Rick Warren, was quoted in the Philadelphia Enquirer as saying, “Fundamentalists are the worst enemies we have in the 21st century.”

In 2009 the nation of Uganda passed a law to protect children from being raped resulting in a death sentence from AIDS. Rick Warren wrote a protest letter to the Pastoral Alliance of Uganda in which he said; “The freedom to make moral choices and to free expression are gifts endowed by God....I urge you, the pastors of Uganda, to speak out against this proposed law.”

The following is a statement by the Discernment Group; “Rick Warren represents the emerging ‘new breed’ of evangelical leaders who are working to create a Communitarian paradise on Earth, building a ‘kingdom’ for a nebulous ‘god’ utilizing state-of-the-art psycho-social manipulations and marketing techniques.”

The evidence of Warren’s apostasy continues to pile up. A news item stated, “Rick Warren has joined a group of 100 church leaders calling for interfaith dialogue and the building of ‘common ground’ with Muslims.” We ask, what common ground do believers have with Muslims?

The following is a comment by Joseph Farah of WND in 2009, “While millions of other Americans will be celebrating Independence Day weekend, Rick Warren, often called ‘America's Pastor,’ will be serving as the keynote speaker for a Saudi-backed Muslim group that promotes a radical strain of Wahhabi Islam in about 80 percent of US mosques.”

Recently Rick Warren told the Islamic Society of North America that he is “not interested in interfaith dialogue; he is only interested in interfaith projects”. He is saying let’s forget about truth and just come together to make the world a better place. This is exactly the program of the Harlot Church of the last days. Rick Warren is coming to Evangelicals in particular, and enticing them to forget about truth and just join the world and the religions of the world to make a better world. This pleases the devil because the truth of the gospel will be put aside. Instead of men and women being translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, the kingdom of light, they will remain in the kingdom of darkness. Three times in Matthew 24, Jesus warned of religious deception in the last days. Rick Warren is doing the very thing Jesus warned about.

In his “Peace Plan” Rick Warren has outlined five areas in which we should come together with Liberals, Catholics, Muslims, Hindu’s, Atheists and others to change the world.

Joseph Farah made the following statement. “Rick Warren thinks we should work with Muslims to address certain issues. This is what his so-called PEACE plan is about. The issues on which we are supposed to work together are the following:”

SPIRITUAL EMPTINESS: How can Christians work with Muslims on spiritual emptiness without bringing them to understand repentance and grace? This is the only way spiritual emptiness can be addressed Biblically – with evangelism.

CORRUPT LEADERSHIP: The Biblical definition of corrupt leadership is leadership which does not adhere to God’s Word. How can believers form a new definition which is acceptable to non-believers and still be true to the Bible?

EXTREME POVERTY: Jesus does tell believers to minister to the poor, but I fail to see where He suggests that we should do this in conjunction with government programs, non-believers or in the name of other gods.

PANDEMIC DISEASE: Is the God we serve great enough to address all of our problems? Do we need the help of other gods? Is this a Biblical principle?

ILLITERACY AND EDUCATION: For hundreds of years Missionaries of the Gospel of Jesus Christ were the first to teach and open schools for forgotten people groups. What are we to teach people? Should we help Muslim nations and Muslim groups teach their children the Quran? Do we expect Muslim nations and Muslim groups to permit us to teach their people to read the Bible?

* “Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Cor. 6:14.

Rick Warren’s Peace Plan has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ or the Scriptures. It has everything to do with bringing the religions of the world and the people of the world together in a great world religious union. He is preparing the woman to ride the beast.

Rick boasts that he has trained over 600,000 ministers. These men are clones of Warren. There are 600,000 churches out there being pastored by apostates, wolves in sheep’s clothing. There are probably several in your town. If you attend one of these churches, I suggest that you get out of it before you are blinded by deception!

Our Lord exhorts His people to come out from counterfeit Christianity:

* “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
