Jeremiah preached as the Old Testament Day of the Lord was about to break upon Israel. We live in an hour when the final Great Day of the Lord is about to break upon our world. The Lord gave Jeremiah an exhortation which was fitting for his day as well as for the present hour.  “.. seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not: For behold I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord.” As we stand on the threshold of the catastrophic tribulation period, the destruction of the world as we presently know it is at hand! If there was ever a time to lose ourselves in the will and purpose of God, it is now. It is time to get our heart set on the Lord and off of ourselves.
