“Mark of the Beast”
by NBC News Clip
March 13th, 2009

In the book of Revelation John tells us about a mark that every person will be required to take in order to buy and sell during the tribulation period. We read about it in Revelation 13:16-17, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name”.

During the first three and a half years of the tribulation period a man called the beast will begin to consolidate his rule over the world in cooperation with ten European Leaders (Rev. 17:12), and in union with a great world church, this is the revived Roman Empire.

At the midpoint of the tribulation period this Revived Roman Empire gives way to the Kingdom of the Beast, (Rev. 17:13). The world church is destroyed, (Rev. 17:16-17). At this midpoint (3  ½ yrs.) the kingdom of the Beast (antichrist) rules the world with total control over everyone and everything. It is at this point that the mark of the beast is introduced. This mark could very well be a microchip placed in the arm or forehead.  With this little device a despot could control the world. It would act as a pin number for your banking or credit card purchases in a cashless society. It would track you everywhere you go, you could easily be monitored and you could easily be apprehended.

Today we are hearing about the preparation for such a program, though it is not fully operational at this moment, there is time to make it operational. Antichrist will not come to full power for at least 3 ½ years after the rapture. The stage for his appearing is being set in many, many ways of which this just one.

Luke said, “And when these things begin to come to pass look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption (rapture) draweth nigh”, Luke 21:28.  Paul said, “But ye brethren are not in darkness, that day should overtake you as a thief”, 1 Thess. 5:4.

Believer you are very soon to stand in the presence of Christ, will you be ashamed before Him at His coming?  What are you living for? Recommit your life to Him and live to please Him.

Unbeliever,  the time is short, repent and surrender your heart and soul to Christ right now!
