The recent CNN special “God’s Warriors,” is an all out attack on the Fundamental, Evangelical Church. These attacks are growing in intensity and will continue to grow.
We need not be surprised, the world is being prepared for the coming lawless one, “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God” 2 Thess. 2:4.
The very foundations of our society are being destroyed; moral corruption is touching every aspect of our culture. David said, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” The answer comes ringing back in the next verse ”The Lord is in His Holy Temple, The Lord’s Throne is in the Heaven, His eyes behold, and His eyelids try (test) the children of men.” Psalms 111: 3, 4.
I sympathize with those who are attempting to change society through the ballot box - that is the democratic right of every Christian and that should be exercised. However, having said that, we must not forget that you cannot legislate righteousness, the Old Testament verifies that. Even our present laws cannot restrain rebellious hearts.
The gospel is the only power there is to change our society, by changing the hearts of men, one at a time through the new birth.
