“Ominous Signs”
by Art Sadlier
September 1st, 2007

I am not an Economist, but I can read what Economists are saying. I am reading that the US dollar is in jeopardy. The US dollar has nothing to back it up, except the confidence which nations and Central banks place in it.

If that confidence were to be lost and nations were to transfer their reserves from US dollars to some other currency, the dollar would collapse along with the US economy.

Could this happen?

Some of the ominous signs we are seeing to warn of this include:

  • China’s recent threat to bring the dollar down by moving its 1.33 trillion US dollar reserves to some other currency. This is referred to as China’s “nuclear option of dollar sales”, implying China’s ability to destroy the US dollar. China also holds 900 billion dollars in US bonds. China seems to believe that the fate of the US dollar is in her hands.
  • Iran has been leading an attack on the US dollar. It has ended all of its oil sales in US dollars. This is a major attempt to destroy the credibility of the US dollar. Venezuela has joined Iran in this attack on the US dollar.
  • Many investors have begun a switch to investing in Euro dollars, as corporate profits become higher in the Eurozone.
  • The recent collapsing sub prime mortgage fund market has caused national banks to take unusual steps to shore up investor confidence.

Remember, the US has to borrow a billion dollars a day to pay the interest on their national debt. That money is borrowed from foreign countries, loss of confidence in the US dollar could dry up those funds.

Another indication that economic chaos lies ahead is a report from the World Economic Forum, June 24, 2007. “The International Community faces a real risk of Economic chaos rising from major imbalances in the Global Financial system.”

  1. How does all of this relate to the repeated suggestion of replacing the US dollar with another currency, the Amero dollar?
  2. Why is there no evident concern about this situation?

Again we remind you of the words of David Rockefeller, “a world government is coming, all we need is a crisis situation to bring it about”.

Apparently, many cannot see the warning signs going on around us, but believers ought to be able to see what is happening.

I am reminded of Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 5:4 “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”

Listen for the Sound of the Trumpet.
