“A Stiring in Israel to Rebuild the Temple”
by Art Sadlier
April 14th, 2013

During Passover a Jewish group conducted the Passover sacrifice opposite the Temple Mount. They sacrificed a goat. They claimed that it was not merely a historic re-enactment but practice for the time when the Temple will be built.

The practice sacrifice has been held annually for the past several years. This year organizers were unpleasantly surprised by a veto from Israel’s Veterinary Services, which refused to authorize the event.

Organizers took the matter to court, and were able to quickly get a ruling permitting the ritual.

The various groups involved in the event were represented by Rabbi Yehuda Glick, who told Arutz Sheva that the ritual was carried out with as much Biblical accuracy as possible.

“We took the goat, as the Torah commands, we had an altar built like the real one, and a cooking pit built according to halacha [Jewish law],” he said. “We slaughtered the goat with Leviim singing and priestly clothing, just like in the real Passover sacrifice.”

Leviim are Jews belonging to the Biblical tribe of Levi, whose members took part in Temple services.

The ritual was emotionally moving, Rabbi Glick reported. “The symbolism of standing opposite the Temple Mount and preparing for the real Passover sacrifice – it was without doubt a special moment,” he said.

In another situation Israeli lawmaker Miri Regev stated that she intends to use her new position as head of the Knesset Interior Committee to advance the right of Jews to pray atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount.

It is intolerable that the only place in the world where Jews cannot pray or worship in on the Temple Mount. Despite being the most holy site on earth for Jews and many Christians, both religious groups are barred from praying at or bringing Bibles to the Temple Mount for fear of a Muslim backlash.

We see the enemy of Israel and Israel’s God attacking God in the very place that God has been worshipped in the past.

This situation was prophesied by Ezekiel 2600 years ago. “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession” (Ezekiel 36:2). This is actually being fulfilled today on the Temple mount.

In verse 5 we see the coming reaction of God to this situation, “Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.”

Prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes.
