“The Police State”
by Art Sadlier
September 30th, 2012

In the book of Revelation we read about a coming police state. When Antichrist comes to total power over the entire world at the mid-tribulation point, he will lead the ultimate police state.

The choice for all of mankind will be to worship the image of Antichrist or be killed. “And he had power (the false prophet) to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Revelation 13:15).

Then we see the ultimate police state in verses 16-17, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Our world is headed for this ultimate police state and the preparation is now well under way.

I quote the following article from the Rutherford Institute, “We are metamorphosing into a police state. Governmental tentacles now invade virtually every facet of our lives, with agents of the government listening in on our telephone calls and reading our emails. Technology, which has developed at a rapid pace, offers those in power more invasive, awesome tools than ever before. Fusion centers -- data collecting agencies spread throughout the country, aided by the National Security Agency -- constantly monitor our communications, everything from our internet activity and web searches to text messages, phone calls and emails. This data is then fed to government agencies, which are now interconnected -- the CIA to the FBI, the FBI to local police -- a relationship which will make a transition to martial law that much easier. We may very well be one terrorist attack away from seeing armed forces on our streets -- and the American people may not put up much resistance. According to a recent study, a greater percentage of Americans are now willing to sacrifice their civil liberties in order to feel safer.”

The US government has built a billion dollar surveillance center though which every phone call, every email and every website visit is recorded. Other countries are doing the same.

The fact is that we are even now on the threshold of a police state. In Texas it was reported that parents could not attend as spectators at their children’s school games unless they had a police check. In London Ontario there was a threat to cancel high school football games because some assistant coaches, who were not school staff, had not had their police checks.

Certain industries such as banking, financial, security, transportation, childcare, health care, teaching, law enforcement, and so on, require background checks on all employees. The list of those requiring background checks is continuing to grow. This requirement is the very essence of a police state.

WND reported, “Big Brother is watching' in ways Orwell never dreamed. The four-way traffic cameras at virtually every intersection. Police secretly attaching GPS tracking devices to citizens' automobiles. Invasive TSA pat-downs and nude X-ray scannings, after first being required to raise your hands as though you were being arrested. Internet sites that track your online activities so thoroughly they almost seem to know what you're thinking.”
The article continued, “Did you know that the ordinary-looking white van next to you on the highway may house government agents peering at you via backscatter X-ray scanners? Or that Miami and several other U.S. cities are experimenting with drones to spy on their citizens? Do you know how easy it is to track your every movement through your cell phone?”

The FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) system will use a variety of biometric data, cross-referenced against the nation’s growing network of surveillance cameras to not only track your every move but create a permanent “recognition” file on you within the government’s massive databases.

Mesmerized by the amazing convenience and connectedness made possible by gee-whiz consumer electronics, most Americans don't realize their world is rapidly coming to resemble the totalitarian society described by novelist George Orwell in "1984," one characterized by universal surveillance.

In England the average Londoner is secretly photographed an average 425 times a day.

The UK government is about to spend $700 million dollars installing surveillance cameras inside the private homes of citizens to ensure that children go to bed on time, attend school and eat proper meals. If that isn’t a totalitarian society, please tell me what is?

The beat goes on, just as the U.S. Department of Agriculture mandates Radio Frequency Identification Device chips to monitor livestock, a Texas school district just began implanting the devices on student identification cards to monitor pupils’ movements on campus, and to track them as they come and go from school.

We are watching this slide into a totalitarian state which is setting the stage for the soon coming cataclysmic events that will prepare the world to accept the total transition.

We watch in horror as this process goes on, we feel like a man trying to hold back the incoming tide with his bare hands.

There was a day, not too long ago, when men would rather die than give up their freedom. When men become enslaved to sensuality and materialism and pleasure, they have already given up their freedom.
