“The Emerging Church”

During the last century waves of change have swept over the church. First there was a wave that swept over the Mainline Liberal Protestant Church producing Fundamentalism which represented the Philadelphian Church of Revelation 3. Then came the wave that swept over Fundamentalism and produced the Evangelical Church (Laodicea). Then there was the wave of the Charismatic movement. Following that was the wave of the Seeker Friendly and Purpose Driven Movement.
Each wave is larger than the preceding one, and comes in more rapid succession. Roger Oakland says there remains one more wave, a giant tsunami which will sweep over the Church and bring it back to Rome. This wave has already begun, and will result in the Harlot Church of Revelation 17: That wave is the Emerging Church.
