“The Mideast on the Brink of War”

Retired US General Paul Valley, who has been following the Mideast situation closely, has recently revealed some troubling information. He said that conflicts this summer may drastically change our world. He went on to warn of the imminent danger of chemical attacks against Israel. Apparently, things are heating up very quickly, particularly in Lebanon and on the northern border of Israel.

The General says that indications are that Iran is planning some kind of a pre-emptive attack on Israel. This attack is to pre-empt an attack by Israel on Iran. The ensuing war will distract and prevent Israel from attacking Iran. The General says he believes that Iran already has a nuclear bomb and is in the process of mating to a missile.

Apparently, an Iranian submarine docked at Beruit Lebanon last week. The men offloading it were wearing gas masks, perhaps indicating that the cargo was chemical weapons to be transferred to Hezbollah.

In another news report, it was indicated that, Syria has transferred new improved scud missiles to Hezbollah. The US administration has reacted against Syria as a result of this report, indicating the validity of the report. It has been indicated that 50 – 60,000 missiles have placed in South Lebanon by Hezbollah. These missiles have been hidden in homes and buildings and in orchards. In the past, these rockets have been in the category of a nuiscence. Today the whole scenario has changed drastically. These new missiles have longer range, better guidance systems, and can carry much heavier payloads that can devastate. They are also capable of carrying chemical weapons. I believe Israel is fully aware of this threat, recently they have issued gas masks to the general population.

Another ominous threat is in the tunnels that have been dug under the border between Israel and Lebanon. Hamas has developed a technology of tunnelling. In the event of war, Hezbollah could send thousands of terrorists into Israel, through these tunnels, to create havoc through suicide bombings.

Hamas on the Gaza border, and the Palestinians in the West Bank could keep Israel pinned down as Syria and Hezbollah rain down missiles and launch ground attacks. Reports have indicated that attempts have been made by Hamas to store weapons in the West Bank.

A full blown pre-emptive strike by Iran’s proxies, Syria and Lebanon would be intended to destroy the IAF’s runways to prevent Israel from first – attacking Iran’s nuclear installations and secondly – to prevent counter attack by the IAF, against Hezbollah and Syria.

On the contrary, Israel would need to target Iran’s nuclear installations and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards command and control centers, from which the war against Israel would be conducted.

General Valley says, “Iran is not bluffing, they will not hesitate to use whatever means they can to defeat Israel.” I believe, that Iran would like to lead the way to a world-wide Islamic Caliphate.

This year the whole Mideast situation has dramatically changed. A war this summer could be the pivotal point in our world. Our world could be on the verge of changes that are almost beyond our imaginations.

Could this be the war of Psalm 83?

Isaiah prophesied the destruction of Damascus in the last days, is that event soon to happen?

The world’s most reliable source of information on military matters is 'Jane’s Defense Weekly Magazine.' Jane’s has confirmed the story about a number of Iranian Engineers and Syrian workers who were killed in an explosion in Syria, some time ago.

Jane’s reported that while these men were loading a chemical warhead into a Scud-C-Missile, an accidental explosion occurred. They were loading the deadly nerve agents VX and Sarin Gas, as well as Mustard Gas. How many others are loaded and ready to go?

The story also broke last year, that Israel has attacked and destroyed, in Syria, a Nuclear Bomb or materials for a Nuclear Bomb that Syria had obtained from North Korea.

Israel has a policy called the “Samson Option.” It is named after Samson who sacrificed himself to destroy his enemies. In the event of Israel’s imminent destruction, it would launch its nuclear weapons to destroy its enemies.

It is now obvious, that Syria is involved in this plan to utterly destroy Israel. The capital of Syria is Damascus; the Bible has some ominous words for Damascus.

Isaiah says, “The burden of Damascus. Behold Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” Isaiah 17: 1.

Damascus is the oldest city on earth. Though it has been conquered many times, it has never been destroyed, but has remained intact until this day.

This timing of the destruction of Damascus is revealed in verse 4, at a time when Israel is greatly threatened and is reduced to a state of peril and fear.

Another indication of the timing of this attack is implied in Ezekiel 38 & 39. The fact is, that although Syria is now closely allied with Russia and Iran, yet they are not mentioned as being a part of that war, implying that the destruction of Damascus may well be imminent, prior to Ezekiel’s war.

It is obvious that Syria with the help of Iran, Russia and North Korea, is preparing an arsenal of biological and possibly nuclear weapons to destroy Israel. I believe the moment Israeli Intelligence is alerted to such an imminent attack they will exercise the “Samson Option”. Recently, Israel sent a warning to Syria, it stated that if Syria uses chemical weapons against Israel, “We will wipe you off the map.”

Israel, it is said, has low yield weapons that give a minimum of radioactive fallout. These weapons could be used with pinpoint accuracy.

The whole scenario is falling into place. It is amazing how after 2800 years, Isaiah’s prophecy seems about to be fulfilled.

The whole Mid-east crisis is rushing toward some kind of cataclysmic event which would finally set up the world for a Peace Treaty, even though it will be a false peace, by a false Messiah.

Isaiah 17:14 may well be a description of Damascus’ fate. “And behold at eventide trouble, and before the morning, he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us and the lot of them that rob us” (seek to take the Golan Heights).

These are awesome, momentous days in which we live! There may well be delays, but God has His own timetable.
